  • aw son of a bitch!

  • Old enough to remember this, the much vaunted "PRE PG" era and I'm old enough to remember the predictability of this being universally panned at the time. Internet wrestling fans, constantly moaning and harking back to things they either a) hated at the time, or b) don't even remember.

  • But objectively speaking... Attitude Era was the best

  • those were the days...now its crap

  • what a promo

  • Man Stephanie and the mom got the laugh in the end thats for sure!

  • This is one of the best promos for anything ever. The timing for the clips and deliveries are absolutely perfect.. This may felt a little contrived (at the time, I couldn't trust any Mcmahons anymore then haha) but definitely was one of the most memorable times (just this whole era) ever.

  • @360 whiplash Lol :D your right

  • anyone kno the song playing?

  • The good old days of the Attitude Era before a virus named Cena came along and messed everything up.

  • Whats the epic song used for the background??

  • Good god, this gave me extreme goosebumps! Brought back a lot of old memories

  • its just... business!! one of the best package videos ever

  • WWF KING of the RING 1999 HANDICAP LADDER MATCH

  • They don't make promos like this anymore.

  • the PG era still lacks terribly in comparison. I watched my first episode of the PG era and I was horribly disappointed. Doesn't even seem like the fans were in to it. Attitude era fans we're screaming every fucking second, you had no choice but to get into it.

  • @RawisCain Well the PG Era has imrpoved with the whole Punk angle, more swearing and quality matches

  • Austin 3:16 says i just whipped your ass. Iconic

  • Where to, Stephanie?

  • @ShabobaX

One of the first things I think of when remembering the Attitude era. Love it. "Draiiiiiver, draaaaiiiiiver..."

  • AWSUNOFA (shotgun blast)

  • @LukeDobbins Son of a what?

  • IT'S ME AUSTIN!

    Aww, Son of a Bitch!

I wish I was watching WWE in 99. Damn it, why did I have to start in 01?

  • Wow. I just got the most chills up and down my spine as soon as austin came out as the CEO. Almost cried. Miss these days. I have Every episode of Raw 98 and Raw and Smackdown 99. That's all I ever cared about. Miss the attitude era. What the fuck is this bullshit nowadays?

  • @kavimander

Please tell me where you got every episode of RAW from 98 and 99 from? I'd love to get them.

  • @AttitudeEra4life459

I got them off craigslist vancouver (where im from). I have nitro 97 as well. i am gonna get nitro 98 next

  • @kavimander

Would you mind sending me a PM with a link to where the person you got them from? I'd really like to get them.

  • I LOVED INNOCENT STEPHANIE!!!!!

  • I wish i was old enough to watch the Attitude Era. It looks very good. But i got to make do with the PG era;(

  • @footballgodgoal poor guy

  • @footballgodgoal hahaha having fun watching The Miz?

  • @footballgodgoal dang that sucks heh

  • @footballgodgoal PG Era has gotten better

  • @footballgodgoal Dude I feel bad for you. The Attitude era was amazing. how old are you dude?

  • @Revmartin08 yeah it was

  • It was beautiful man, it really was.

  • @footballgodgoal No you don't You can choose to watch the pg era or not.

  • It was a completely different time. It was a time when you'd be giddy with excitement for Monday so you could see what happened next on Raw Is War. Today's WWE is a shadow of the way wrestling used to make you feel.

  • @ebischoff55

pretty obvious that it was Austin who told her who the Higher Power was. The higher power did give the opportunity to let Austin have a peek of his face the week before the events in this promo.

  • @RavieKulay thats rite, i stand corrected.

  • if Linda only found out there, then why would she have stepped down 'earlier today' and made Austin her successor. Just wonderin....

  • @LukeDobbins

    "WHAT?~!" - Jerry Lawler

  • I'd want the video editor and graphics artist that compiled this promo video to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Everything about this promo is epic. Epic music score, epic camera shots and obviously and epic story!

man! it's like watching a high-grossing movie franchise condensed into 2 minutes!

  • So tired of Vince and his obnoxious family on TV.

  • the greatest days of WWE!!!! Now days it;s pure SHIT!!!!!Thank you WWE for all the good memories too bad it will never be the same !!!

  • No chance in hell. Vince rules the wrestling world mean gene.

  • This is when Wrestling was at its peak.

  • @MrCurt123 agreeed

  • Austin had on a tie. What a proffessional.

    AUSTIN 3:16

  • Man, I remember being 12 or 13, drinking coffee to stay up till 11pm literally GLUED to the TV I was so excited to find out who the higher power was! I remember reading all over the internet, all the theories that it would be Jake the Snake, Hulk Hogan, etc, and when it was announced as Vince I was stunned lol As a grown man today I can still say this was one of the best angles WWF ever put together.

  • @Escobar9300

I agree with this nigga, I was on caffiene like a dawg that night but I rly thoght it woud be booker t for osme reason.

  • This shit is classic, Austin had the nerve to come out in a tie over a red shirt and blue jean shorts LMAO.

  • vince for raw gm

  • This was the WWF at it's best and yes I SAID WWF!!! WWE is SHIT!!! I think it's forgotten too that at Over the Edge 99 the PPV where Owen died The Undertaker won the title from Austin. That is always overlooked.

  • VINCE 3:16

  • Randy Savage should of been the HIGHER POWER

  • @BSabres87 HAHAHAHA!! :D

  • What was so great about this storyline is that Vince actually came accross as a really loving and caring Dad deep inside and then revlealed to be the higher power and you were like "what a dick!" love it!!

  • "how about a little profanity in the office?"

  • god they don't make promos like that anymore

  • CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!

  • And then the "fans" had the nerve to boo Stephanie when she turned on her father six months later?????? The next day when she revealed that THIS was the reason, Vince was like "Oh yeah, I kinda forgot about that"

  • @ejr23 Hahaha, are you serious? When was all of this? I'm going to try and look for that.

  • @TheoHuxtable07 It was after the night Triple H faced Vince, I think it was the night after armageddon 1999

  • Illogical booking

  • Damn Steph looks young.

And no, I am not Macho Man.

  • Damn this brought a tear to my eye (Nostalgia), and usually I don't get emotionally involved. What the hell happened to the intensity of this business? Forget the WWF/WWE arguement......... today the product is suffering hard work and effort. The situation today is "Once you reach WWE, stop trying as you now just need to show up, behave corporate and get paid".

  • @sca4rface becuz the attitude era is over and now they are trying to make it good for the kids and shit. thats why it is tv pg and not tv 14 anymore. i do miss this :(

  • The Higher Power should have been the Shockmaster...

  • This was great because of excellent writing and a wonderful creative team, not because of a rating.

  • I just couldnt help the tears coming down my face to know how great wrestling was and how we have to watch this pg era and act like its good. eh :(

  • Vince tried so hard back then. So inspired. Such a great time.

  • that was the best undertaker version, very evil liked him more than now back then...

  • Stephanie was so hot back then.

  • Jake Roberts shoulda been the Higher Power lol

  • Internet smark fans were so pissed off at this '"swerve" back in the day. McMahon is a huge villain forever... then there's a big angle to find out who the new big villain is... and it's McMahon again. Trust me, this wasn't that great at the time.

  • Yeah it basically ruined the whole Ministry gimmick which was a shame really. I mean atm they've got an anom GM and the plans is to have Mcmahon as the actual GM which would just be a terrible idea.

  • i love the editing

  • Lol, austin with a tie, now that's classic

  • Also, what music is that in the background??

  • Do u have the full segment??

  • Vince is the greatest heel of all time.

  • 1999 " where to Stephanie ? "

    2009 " Buckle up Teddy "

  • God, stephanie was hot back then. i would make love to her all of my life to her.

  • @domamania lol that's not creepy.

  • the most awesome reveal ever! tremendous! how great was the wwf? after thie attitude era, wrestling died

  • AW SON OF A BITCH!

  • actually pretty much of the story was as bad as in wcw 2000, but nobody recognized it :)

  • WHERE TO STEPHANIE? Hahaha. In stitches.

  • @Ken0009100 Its a wwe production theme called Harrowsway

  • "Another cold beverage for the Rattlesnake."

    God i Love JR

  • @CapTashman JR is the Best.

  • Epic tie

  • omg this was such a good time in the business

  • ".....it's just business."

  • Rattlesnakes don't make good CEOs!

  • EVEN MY FAMILY BOUGHT IT!

  • Best storyline ever! Nothing beats Austin vs. Undertaker

  • i was like 9 or 10 when this storyline was happening, prob one of the best storylines and promo in the WWF/WWE ....i remember this storyline was intense...and vince being the higher power was shocking to me as a kid :-o .....sick tmes, and thna austin saving stephanie...just simply the best....

  • "Aw,son of a Bitch".Steve Austin as CEO Was epic.

  • that is the best facial expression when he says ''fools of''

  • "Aw, son of a bitch." JR sounds less like "we're fucked," more like "oh, not again."

  • @Mutough He could say "we're fucked" but kids watch this show.

  • @Ken0009100 its called HARROWSWAY

  • epic promo

  • AWW SONOFABITCH

  • If I could be 14 again, and to, once again, wait with utter anticipation for this episode of Raw to come on, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

  • Now that was a promo! Miss the good days

  • Did any 1 know that the real greater power was ment to be Linda but she didnt want to be in the story line, it was on "inside wwf"

  • They really stuck it to Vince that time.

  • Love the background music! Very moving!

  • hairs on my neck stand up when i watch this! this was WWF at its best!

  • Man, this is when WWE was good. It has sucked for years now.

  • Oh man, that takes me back, lol.

  • God I miss those moments :(

Such an epic opening video btw, just epic.

  • vince has the best facial expressions totally genuine

  • VINCE 3:16

  • @AndyCorn90 true but the undertaker was part of the attitude era and he is the phenom the undertaker

  • the wwe is a disgace compared to the attitude era storylines like this and no 1 in the world can argue that between 1998 and 2001 wer the best years 4 sports entertainment and today superstars like john cena randy orton sheamus, the watered down HHH and the undertaker are nothing compared to the superstars of the attitude era and they know it!

  • this is the best

  • Undertaker And The Corporate Ministry RULZ!

  • this was the good WWF years no WWE! all the storylines were entertaining, ahhh the good 'ol days!

  • should have been Jake the snake Roberts as the Higher Power to get back at Austin for KOR 96... but Jake was drunk all the time

  • I love videos like this because it reminds me how wrestling used to be so great.

  • austin becoming the ceo was the greatest and funniest moment in WWF history, lmao, the look on vince face was hilirious, aahhhh, austin will always be the best and most memorable person in wwf

  • Cena would get murder if he wrestle in these days

  • @ELNENE000222

Cena did wrestle in WWF in these days, He wrestled under the name "Gillberg"

  • @2canvandam hahahahahahaahahahahaha ohhh man that one was good :'o

  • @2canvandam

I thought cena was the gobbledy gooker

  • Steve Austin wearing a t-shirt and a tie. Hilarious. This is a montage!!

  • "austin 3:16 says.. That's BullS--- .. Jack---, Sunnavab----, You little b---ard., that i just whipped your ASS!"

  • watching these old videos of RAW make my realize one thing most of all: The McMahons and Jerry Lawler are all sick, unimaginably perverted and shameless wastes of blood

  • NOW THIS IS WHAT WE'RE USED TOO..

NOT "YOU CANT SEE ME" BULLSHIT

YA CENA I CANT SEE YOU YOUR A FAGGOT.

  • @316420STONECOLD true, but the Vince as the higher power thing was predictable as hell. Everyone knew it was him before it was even revealed.

  • @316420STONECOLD stop hating

  • does any one have the segment when linda brought austin out as the ceo?! that was the single most memorable moment for me watching wwf!? ive been looking for it for ages now!!

  • @TheDunnie28 Are u still lookin for it? I have it haha..incase u havent seen it i'll upload it on yahoo or sumthin cuzz i tried uploadin it here but it got copyright so yeeh

  • @L3GEND3SIXTEEN

na i dont need it any more! i have all raws from 1999 now!!

  • love doenst have anything to do with it ITS JUST BUSINESS yep i heard that one before jaa

  • A cold beverage for the Rattlesnake

  • Wrestling was so good back then.

  • WWE was so awesome w/Ministry of Darkness and Austin. It was me Austin!

  • Vince: Its me Austin!!!!!

JR: aww son of a bitch!

    hahahahaha

  • best era of the wwf!! IT WAS ME AUSTIN!!

  • one of the most memorable episodes

  • I just love repeating 00:6.

  • god damnn these were the days

  • This was one of my favorite storylines from the 90s. Absolutely awesome!

  • this was a sick storyline and promo..when i was like 10 watching this i never thought it was be vince :-o ,especially after he cried when austin saved steph...thats good writing :)

  • Stephanie was hot as FUCK!!!

  • anyone know the name of the promo music???

  • Its meee Austin ! Epic line from Vince !

  • i almost cry when i see this promo again and again miss you austin 3:16

  • man i miss these days in wrestleling

  • Austin = Simply the greatest.

  • this is when wrestling was fucking intense

  • Loved the Epic music with this epis time in wrestling history.

  • This storyline had so many excellent segments and quotes; "Its ME Austin!!" along with "Where to Stephanie, AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" are probably the best ones IMO. Easily one of the best storylines the WWF/E has ever done, the only problem is that it makes you realise how much better things WERE as opposed to ARE - bittersweet memories

  • Bloody hell yeah!!! This promo can beat any hit movies off late!!!!!!

  • Oh man, my first WWF memories.

  • I used to have the old tape recorded on this night and austin on the job as CEO. And it was all uncensored... JR's Line is the funniest line he ever said that night.

But the tape has gone missing.... I would upload it if i had it right now.

  • the promos in the attitude era were the freakin best man:(

  • where i can get the full episode of austin as new ceo?

  • Cannot find it anywhere either! Let me know if you find it

  • Fuck this brings back good times.

When I was young I feared Taker. And Austin was my favorite wrestler. But I was like, Shit he's going against taker, damn this is a challenge. Taker and Austin rule.

Course now Ken Anderson's my new favorite wreslter.

  • I agree. What's with HHH? Does he like man-ish women?

  • anyone know the background music?

  • @nike5216

    It's called "Harrowsway".

  • "where to? stephanie!"

  • Stephanie was so cute =)

  • danm she was sooooo pretty....

  • Vince is best as a heel . "THE BEST SON OF A BITCH". everyone loves to hate him.
