So if you want to actually do contract miliitary work you're going to have to join either police ( and get into the SWAT/Emergency response, or some sort of specialization) or the army (and basic training won't get you far). So it's actually very difficult. And most contractors get their jobs to networking, it's not exactly you're resume that get you a contract. Good luck though!

blackwater (now known as XE) needs to have more regulations, about who they are hiring. The minimum standard should be that the contractor has experience from a real military conflict, or at least a special operations training (SEALs, green berets etc.) It is both irresponsible and dangerous to put people with 2-4 month training in firing range to an actual warzone.

@texican96 You need to have the training already. They won't train you. So if you want to actually do contract miliitary work you're going to have to join either police ( and get into the SWAT/Emergency response, or some sort of specialization) or the army (and basic training won't get you far). So it's actually very difficult. And most contractors get their jobs to networking, it's not exactly you're resume that get you a contract. Good luck though!

blackwater (now known as XE) needs to have more regulations, about who they are hiring. The minimum standard should be that the contractor has experience from a real military conflict, or at least a special operations training (SEALs, green berets etc.) It is both irresponsible and dangerous to put people with 2-4 month training in firing range to an actual warzone.

Do you know how much a blackwater sniper or security guard make? about $950.00 a fricking day. The CEO of Blackwater says that the armed forces do not have enough personnel to do the dirty work. Rumor has it that some Blackwater snipers make more than a general in the armed forces.

There's a very simple reason to why this is wrong morons. Nothing wrong with training people to help with security reasons, but when they are sent overseas in a controversial war... not to mention they aren't subject to our military code of conduct or even our laws overseas... than it's wrong. Who do they answer to? Their CEO? The President? Their occupying country's leader ( highly doubtful). War isn't a joke, innocent men women and children die. If they aren't military... stay out of it.

True but take in WW2(as an example) The PMCs used was groups like Flying Tigers and Freiwillige who was voluntaries, no big sums of money. Then there's the French Foreign Legion, but they are under French rule it's different.
