  • Mechanical keyboards. Get one. In fact, get a Das or Deck

  • i hafe it awesom. :p keyboard :) uber gaming

  • They got a New one out now My Eclipse just broke! The newer one looks a lot nicer.

  • You still lean in to see even though you have 28in monitors? WHAT ARE YOU BLIND?

  • @LiftedShooter lol there Actually 30 inch

  • @LiftedShooter i do the same thing.. so whaT?

  • I ordered this today, will give a review.

  • I had to choose between this and MS laser desktop 5000. Saitek felt cheap. It looks like a toy. Pretty happy with MS L.D.5000 :)

  • getting one of these, seen & read lots of positive reviews. Currently useing MS Wireless Laser 5000. Fav keyboard MS Multimedia Keyboard.

  • i think the cheapo fellowes keyboard on my old computer is the best because I can type faster on it than on my mac keyboard. I've this mac for quite a while now, and i still seem to get lost from time to time.

  • i loved the CTX Wierles keyboard i has two usb ports and aodio and mike also it glows at night unfortunely the stoed making it so i have a misrosoft wierles 2.0 kit also some usbs

  • I am using the Lycosa (sponsored by Razer, so..).

Best keyboard ever owned? HappyHacker 2 mini keyboard, durable, easy to carry and strong like h*ll!

  • just got mine pretty cool it is

  • YEY i finally got the eclipse 2 a couple days ago and it works very well in my space and its great for showing off too. But this is a question for everyone, what LED color do u find best to type on this keyboard

  • Blue.

  • i always look for a keyboard with media buttons on it but i love this keyboard and im getting it soon with a logitech g5 mouse.

  • im using a saiteks cyborg keyboard. its really awsome. has a built in usb hub, different colored backlightning, 12 macro keys, and it works with my mac.

  • My gigaware wireless :)

  • im using a mac alluminum keyboard on my emac, but i would like one of these for my powermac :D

  • few keyboards i hate... ergo keyboards that curve (horrible for gaming) , slim laptop keyboards, and low raised keyboards

  • that keyboard looks fucking awesome! GOTTA GET ONE!!!

Do these work for Macs? They can blug into USB 2.0 ports, right?

  • got one..love it!!!

  • how about you try the logitech illuminated keyboard

i know it has a very thin profile

  • I am using the same keyboard right now :)

  • try razer keyborads

  • Whats with keyboards being thinner smaller and BLACK ARGHHH BLACK KEYBOARDS I HATE THEM. I game alot in the dark I like mine chunky, with big buttons not slim thin crap that I can't even feel or can miss to easy this looks good but does it have a volume control on the keyboard...

  • its backlit and its not key lit. If you look at the "Ideazon Merc Stealth Illuminated Gaming Keyboard zboard" the keys are lit not glowing. I think this is a good point as I prefer lit over glow.

  • i used to have an eclipse II. it was excellent. but it had 1 problem. after enough time. the keys stop responding after a while. my p and l button only warked half the time when i pushed it. but it was an excellent keyboard when i had it.

  • Has anyone tried the new Saitek Eclipse III? I may get one but there are no reviews yet so I'm a little unsure!

  • yey. When do I get my kit?! :( haha

  • Razer Lycosa love it

  • i have the first gen g15 its awsome : )

  • what about 1 for a laptop, that would be awsome

  • I'm getting this keyboard (aswell as a Razer Copperhead Tempest Blue mouse) for Christmas this year!

Very nice review (as always, Chris).

  • Saitek Eclipse II :D

  • Man this guy is a huge nerd wow. He has the voice and everything lol. Just a classic geek from an 80's movie or something.

  • Logitech G15!

  • Apple Slim.

  • клева

  • My logitech EX100 has no lights whatsoever. But its still a good wireless keyboard for what i paid.

  • if u like stuff that glows but in a earlyer epsode you said you dont like the side pannels with lights on pc's

  • I love my KeySonic silicon keyboard.

So thin, so smooth, so blue, so silent....

  • Does it work on a Mac? I've heard that it does, but I want some more responses before I spend money on it.

  • yes, its usb plug and play. It had no drivers and works fine on a mac :D

  • what about mac's keyboard?

  • I'm probably going to switch keyboards. My b-day is coming up soon and I really want the Saitek Eclipse II, CyberSnipa Stinger, and the RocketFish 2 Sided Mouse Pad. Then I'm good to go! =)

  • Right now I have the Logitech Cordless Desktop EX110 Keyboard. Its pretty nice, slip and buttons are nice and smooth and nice.

  • i use to have them they are great for the price but then i went with the wave keyboard and i hate it the key's stick and it is just crap.

  • does it work with vista?

  • yes

  • it works with any OS, its just a usb keyboard with a button for changing the color in the top right corner. Ive used it with Windows, Mac (right now), Linux and Solaris.

  • Yeah, i know now, bought it july yesteryear and im pretty happy with it ^^,

  • can you program keys with mac...i might get one for my powermac g4...?

  • i have this keyboard and love it. the leds are bright and every key glows and its easy to see in the dark. teh led lights on teh side light up teh area where my mouse is. the only problem with it is the back part where teh cord connects to is enough space to put a ton of usb ports but there isnt any

but this is teh best keyboard ive ever had and anyone, gamer or just everyday computer user would love this keyboard

  • If you like the very slim keyboards like the one Chris was typing on here for use with the desk trays, I like the new Apple keyboards in that regard. They are ridiculously thin and therefore wok very well in a less than spacious keyboard tray. It also has a USB port on the side that would normally be devoted to the Mighty Mouse that comes with the new Macs, but my suggestion is just skip that useless Apple Mouse and use the USB port for something more useful. The mouse is awful anyway.

  • Razer for the win

  • what a dip shit, i hate this guy.

  • OMG HOW TEH FUK CCOULD HE BE MAKIGN FUNN CAPZ LOK ZOMFG NOW I FUKIGN HAT E TIHS AZZH0LE N ALL U DIKS TAHT LIEK HIM N ALL HIS FAM N SHIIT OMG TAHT MAKS ME SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PISD!!1!11!1!!ONE!!11!1ONE.

(I'm kidding I really like Prillo, so for the love of god, spare my inbox, please.)

    Love the keyboard, too.

  • do this keybored work on apple comps?

  • is there anyway to connect in a way that it flashes with your music?

  • That's a good idea. I'll have to try to jury-rig the sound sensor off of my case lighting onto the backlights on my keyboard. As far as I know, though, it's not a standard feature.

  • The keys on this keybaord are not quiet what so ever they are loud. so don't get this if you want something with quiet keys, cause you wont like this keyboard for that reason. Overall though it's a nice keyboard, but anyway, i'd suggest the Microsoft wave........

  • i have an "x-gene" usb wireless which i absolutely love because its tiny, fits comfortably on my lap, and has a trackball so i dont even have to use my mouse.

  • i have jusr ordered this keyboard, because it looked so cool:D And i couldn't get the cyborg :(

  • I hate desks with the sliding thing.... I like to have the computer and everything on the same level with plenty of space...

  • I use the Saitek Eclipse 2 lol under the desk no problem

  • i just got a eclipse II it rocks!

  • I remember the clackers too. I actually got told by my teacher to type slower so it wasn't so freaking loud.

My favourite though, has to be the EZ-8000. I'm one of these people that likes to have a keyboard layout that just works. It was a big keyboard, and it just barely fit into my computer desk, and was full of buttons that just made life almost liveable without a mouse.

Then I remember StarCraft, and my mouse becomes necessary again.

  • would this be good for gaming

  • i have an eclipse II that's why i searched for it lol....

  • lol he reminds me of jim from american pie lol

  • coolest keyboard, saitek is awesome, the joystick and controllers is nice too

  • We have the "Clackers" at school. I use some kind of gateway...I want the eclipse II...I like lights...LOTS OF LIGHTS. But yea, i have no idea...its just one that came with the PC 6 years ago.

  • I was using the Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000, I bought a Saitek Keyboard Eclipse I and I'm loving it! Pleas resubscribe to me Chris!

  • I have the original Saitek Eclipse and I prefer it to the new one. It always seems that whenever a updated product comes out they decide to cram it full of gizmo's.

  • who is addicted to capslock!?!?!?!

  • im kinda liking the new apple keyboard.. extremely compact and i like the feel of the keys (lappy style).. £30 .. gonna get one soon,

  • the new g15 keyboard rocks !!! but not the old one

  • oh thanks for telling me that it is fat i thought it was slim, thanks

  • i us the Cheap dell keyboard that comes with it lol. i love the clackers :O

  • i have the Saitek Eclipse 1 and a Razer Diomondback gameing mouse both are insanely awesom and are great for gameing!

  • keytronics has always been pretty decent, but cherry makes the best quality avail if at a price.. those ibm ones chris mentioned actually had a weighty metal plate inside .. dont smash it over anyones head, or you'll kill the one u swing at

  • New zboard merc!! it also glows! Zboards are the only real gaming keyboard out there.

  • i have the original eclipse! I got it for free and LOVE it! a BIG thumbs up!

  • I.m with Chris all the way on this one. Give the old Klackity Klack IBM key board. Right now I'm useing a Belkin key board. I like it and I got it for free which makes it double good.

  • Im using a laptop and hate it. Im setting it up like a desktop with a monitor. I still need to get a mouse and keyboard. I was going to get the logitech classic optical mouse and the standard keyboard. Are these good buys?

  • i'm still using the dell PS/2 keyboard that came with my computer. i liked it because it has multimedia controls on it. but it's getting old and starting to go bad, so the next keyboard i'm looking into is the logitech wave keyboard. but whether i get that one or not, i need an ergonomic one because i spend way too much time at my pc to not have one :)

  • ive got old 'BANG BANG' BTC ps/2 keyboard from year 2k. love it ;*

  • I use Saitek 1 and G7 mouse

  • I only have the first edition =(

  • G15

  • im using an old compaq keyboard it must be around 7 years old i have modded it to usb and made it wireless

  • ooh how did u go around doing that. i have a usb keyboard i wanna make wireless

  • Sweet! I am sooooo getting this one.... better than the one on think geek

  • I too liked the ten pound IBM keyboard. I still have one but have been using a Saitek backlit keyboard for a couple of years. I am in the bush frequently and like the toughness of the Saitek. It takes a licking and keeps on clicking. And works great in the dark.

  • Logitech G15 + Razor Deathadder FTW

  • i have my g15 paired with a g7

  • G15 and G5 Personally

  • does it work with vista?

  • by far my favorite keyboard is the MacIntosh keyboard that is attached to my Mac mini

  • I have I think 4 old compaq keyboards, but on the one I use with my desktop it has a power off button I sometimes accidently hit instead of Print Screen.

  • i like the clockers too

  • I've been actually using this one. It's cool even the letters on the keys glow.

  • I'm currently using the Macbook Pro keyboard. I'm not a big fan of laptop keyboards, but it keeps the desk clean. I'd love a glowing keyboard for the Mac though. =)

  • your macbook pro keyboard will light up in the dark

  • Chris the old Keyboard's we still have them at school ... :D

  • just take some sandpaper and let the paper do some magic =D

  • oh yea and im using the saitek eclipse ONE... yea... i really wanted to switch to 2 but it came with my computer so i had no choice.

IF YOU LOVE GLOW i recommend the Microsoft HABU to go with the saitek 2 (in blue glow mode), together they would make a GREAT COUPLE of glowing crazyness.

when i want a keyboard, i look for style and performance mainly... I only wished SAITEK 2 had slim keys such as the ones on a laptop for FAST pace typing (more sensitivity)

  • THIS KEYBOARD IS THE ONLY ONE I HAVE AND WILL HAVE!!!

    LONG LIVE THE GLOW!!!

love the "soft key" (cushion) feel of this gadget and a wonderful design (style)

  • Heh, my school still has some of thous OLD keyboards, I love them.

  • I'll stick to the Mac Keyboard if I were ya...

But I understand your love for glowing things..

  • Ha I got him to buy it from the chat

  • apple aluminium keyboard

  • well i like keboards that are wide and fat and short cuts on it like i have now

  • lol
