No problem with american maufacturers but someone didnt read the owners manual, unless the year of this one wasnt metioned, GM, Ford and all others now make statements in the owners manual that SUVs are not to be used with plow units, no matter what size or name. Worked for fisher for several years and we would never install one on a suv.
@fordwindsor351 yea but the truck has the exact same front end as a 1500 pickup and it has more counter weight....besides the truck has 220,000 miles on it so i dont think its going to void any warrenties hahaha the owner is a gm mechanic so he keeps up on the maintenance
@Chevykidz28 the spring rates are different along with the toughness and design of the sterring linkages and such. all that stuff can be changed but just looking at the springs themselves, the rates are not the same although looking at them on a bench they look the same. My Expedition is the exact frame they use on the F150's but im not going to plow with it.
@fordwindsor351 who fucking cares what ppl do with their plows. the did pay for it, if i bought one and you told me to not put it on my suv i would do it just to show ur dumb ass up. im sure your former employer wouldnt like you giving their company a bad name
@eclipse10101 learn to spell shit for brains before you act like you know anything. Its not the point of what they do with their plows dumbass, its what they do for their SUV, hell even the manual says to not plow with said vehicle. Its also not giving a company a bad name but giving out good and safe advice. You seem like the type from your words that you would fuck your granny just because she has a pussy, right. Reply if you are stupid
well i dont have any personal experiencce plowing with those so i can t really give you an honest opinion..but im sure it would be similar but i would most likely just stick with a 7'6 mainly because the newer the truck (any manufacture) the lighter the front end is (for gas milage and comfort) but they are great trucks...last forever my moms 5.3 has over 200k and no problems with it yet
it would push it no problem but the truck is so short it doesnt really have much counter weight...if he was doing a parking lot or something where the plow is down more then up i deffinitally would but he just does like 10 drive ways and they are a few miles apart so its more driving then plowing so the extra strain on the truck wouldnt be worth it...
MY truck? lol my truck has a 9' fisher on it you can see it in my vids it is the GMC ...the GMC, the S10 and the camaro are mine this two door is my buddies truck and yes it is sick...he needs to post up some new vids he has a new exhaust (true dual flowmaster) and he put a small lift kit in it...a new crate 350 and a new posi rear end..
We have a 7' 6" Fisher plow on a 1999 4-Door Tahoe, and the Fisher HT 7' 6" plow on a 2005 GMC Yukon. The 2006 GMC Sierra has the same as the Tahoe.
