Almost got a pirate viper after it started attacking me. I tried to board it after disabling it but found out that my shuttle was also disabled.

Oh yeah, I wanted to add in regards to not registering the game. At some point, you'll be haunted by an invincible starbridge loaded with all the weapons mankind has to offer who will hunt you down to no ends and hails you your ultimatum to register the game or face the wrath of Hector until you do so.

You know, the quickest way to randomize missions is to go to a system that has more than one landable stellar objects, land in one place, check mission, and if it doesn't have it, land in the next place, check mission, and if it doesn't have it, then land back on the first place, rinse and repeat until you get the desired mission.

Remember to make copies of your pilot file at critical places(giving it an appropriate name), and if you want to go back to a specific point, copy the file that stores that point, and make that copy(yes, a copy of a copy) your pilot file.

@RogueDragon05 i have a copy of nova with dozens of slots in it (e.g. a pirate fleet with me in a pirate carrier) but the code expired when i put my old harddrive in my new PC. I sure know what i get for the 30 bucks but that was strange seeing the price hasnt changed at all in the past years

What is really strange is that this was its original price from 2002. $30 in 2002=bargain. $30 in 2011=rip-off. If it was $10 by now, I would have bought it already. Heck, I think it would probably be a lot more popular, and definitely more profitable.

If you own Escape Velocity: Nova, there are free plugins to be able to play both EV:O and the original EV in the EV:N engine.

huh, I'm playing this game too, it's really great. I'm really confused about something though. Every time you get attacked and the sirens go off there is a little alert icon in the top right hand corner. I have never seen this... anyone know why?

You probably killed Aurorans. They don't like that. The only way to get on friendly terms with the Aurorans now is to kill Federation.

yea i was thinking of killing fed's then getting murana and then kill aurorans to get back with the feds also can you help with somthing els, i cant get the last sigma shipyards mision and i rly want the hyper gates, thanks for the help man

there is a mission in which you're supposed to contact the aurorans to start a branch of your organization there. they turn hostile then to "test" you.

it resets if you eject your escape pod (I couldn't complete the mission yet, they keep catching up with me and killing my ship)

u have to go into auroran space without having started any of the other strorylines, with some killings done. i dont know how many. then you have to enter bars until a girl called mu´randa tells you if you can ferry her i-dont-know-where. Accept, and u r on ur way.

I always avoided the Vell-os string, and had the hardest time picking up the Polaris. Now I know.

Never bought a Viper, personally. Too small. My weapon of choice is a captured Carrier Class Rebel Dragon. 300+ tons of weapon space and medium-ship maneuverability, baby.

I actually got the Polaris twice easy and once with Pirate plot at the same time with the result of the Unrelenting with a lot of Polaris ship armor and shield ups.
