Well done guys, on spotting the non-seriousness of my post.
Go away, have a look at the offerings of the two 'artists' in question and analyse who has the better body of work, particularly in the field of stand-up.
Then make your judgements. And releasing the same material across three Christmas DVDs isn't a good thing; factor this into your findings.
my opinion is I think Spencer is the funniest character in PN's. He himself though hates it. He had a massive do with Peter Kay and he considers PN's to be racist I read somewhere.
Peter Kay seems to rub a lot of people up the wrong way. Im not a major fan of his. I think he coasted on the success of PN's and his 2 tours and the way he milked the success of PN's like it was a solo project when it was written by Dave Spikey and Neil Fitzmaurice was disgusting
Oh wow - i actually come across a guy in my job - and he could be his double in looks, clothes and personality - freaky! Love it - Kay observes the North and personalitys so well
@Frankingsteins he actually considers this to be his worst work. he hates it. He had a massive falling out with Peter Kay, who refers to him as "that bastard" on Phoenix Nights DVD Commentary.
In this clip we can really feel the burning hatred and contempt that Kitson feels towards the entire cast, crew, writers and possibly even audience of the whole Phoenix Nights production
@Woolstenholme HAHA! It's funny, because you really can't. Yeah, he disassociated himself as much as possible from this after he won his Perrier, but he was well up for this at the time... Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that you articulated your point beautifully in less that 3 words.

@Frankingsteins, you've decided PN is crap on the basis of a 56 second clip? Something tells me you just want to say the popular thing....
