We went back in several times but I never really got any more good footage. The third trip in on ATVs we drove right into the middle of a herd leaving the meadow in the dark. There was 6-8 bulls that bugled non-stop for 3 hours as we followed them to their bedding ground never more than a few hundred yards away. We probably heard 300 bugles that day... and I lost the camera batteries out of my backpack on the ride in on the ATV. I never saw an elk that day but was within 20 yards several times.
