And after a time you go through the city and your allways think: There i could do a good wallup, this wall looks a little bit slippy, and there would a speed-vault be awsome ;)

There are two types of parkour:

Normal parkour which is getting from point A to point B as quick and easily as possible.

And the other(whatever you want to call it) is this kind of showoff stuff with flips and spins etc.

For example, if there was a bench in the way of someone doing the tricky parkour they'd do this stuff to get over it. If they were doing normal parkour they would simply run around it and continue on their path, as getting over it would need more energy and would slow them dow

No the trick stuff is actually called free-running, not parkour. Parkour is getting from point a to point b as fast as possible. Free-running is still getting from point a to point b, but you incorporate tricks and flips into it.

That's when you run how you want, regardless of efficiency. The two can intersect however. If the way run is efficient and it expresses who you are then it can be BOTH parkour and free running. Free running doesn't necessarily mean flips, it just means running in the manner that expresses yourself, whether it be flip or not.

Parkour: A to B in shortest way and quickest time possible

Free Running: Using the environment to do aerobatic movements and for showing off.

Parkour as a A to B involves using the environment to create a shortest route and therefore, in theory requiring less energy. For example at a bench or ledge, a Free-runner would do some kind of flip or a fancy kind of vault. Someone doing Parkour would dash vault or lazy vault.

Each of these sites and many others across the internet say parkour is about getting from part a to point b- you have it backwards. Parkour has very little tricks involved, if any, as it is focused on the logical aspects while freerunning is similar but has less emphasis on effectively reaching a location and more on style.
