  • Ok, So I had Apes on a roadstar that I sold the other day. I did the work myself. My question is how did you get the wires inside the bars. The only way I could figure out how to do mine is I cut the wires at different spots so that when they were connected back together there would not be a "Wad" of wires in one spot. I am getting another R* next week and hope to do the same thing to it. Can you give me some tips as to how to get the wires ran inside the bars?

  • @firebiker83 Doing it the way that I did, there was no way to actually get the wires inside. Thanks in advance for the tips.

  • @firebiker83 - How I did it was to cut the switch harness (obviously) and cut the new lead wires much longer than needed. Soldered all the lead wires to the switch side and staggered the ends so as to make a point to help push through bars when taped together. Once through, and the switch wires still visible, tagged the lead wires with color codes. Once done, pulled the leads the rest of the way through, cut to length and soldered one by one based on marked color code.

    Thanks for viewing!

  • How much would that kind of work cost?

  • if you don't mind me asking, what kind of apes is that?

  • @jcusantos - Not sure, the customer purchased them online. They were for a Harley...

  • what brand of ape hangers and what size are they?

  • Now come do that on my 2009 RKC....Please!

    Trish
