  • I saw Jerry Play last year and was amazed. btw, my dad was one of Jerry's guitar teachers... donober dot com

  • Screamin' ass guitar solo.

  • and to think that The Grateful Dead used to open for him...

  • I just watched Jerry play about twenty minutes ago and he kicked some serious ass. Watching him play is a sight to behold. One of the greatest local guitar players.

  • Jerry had a band awhile back I think it was called Bandaio or something like that. Anyone got any vids of them?

  • @boobcube DiBando - after a character in "How Green Was My Valley." Hellava band! Sorry, no vids. that I am aware of. They are featured on the rare, self-released CD, "Live At Cole's." There is also a boot by that same name, but, again, very, very rare.

  • @prunebreath Hey, thanks much for your help! I'll definitely be on the lookout for that, maybe....if I'm really lucky......

  • Jerry was there from the begining.....is that the same guitar as the one he played on Omaha?

  • @alofislide yup. Since 1962. She was custom built by Gibson to a drawing of his hand.

  • One of my favourite guitar players ever and if ever there was one that deserved greater acclaim, it's Jerry Miller!

  • I saw Jerry Miller play at a Party on Lake Louise in Lakewood WA, the guy is freakin amazing guitar maniac

  • @alderete74 I completely agree!

  • @suswan He is very very underated!

  • Love your playing Jerry, everytime as good as the other Jerry...:-) Cheers to the Grape!

  • I've been going out with his daughter for a year.

Hes one of the funniest guys I have ever met.

  • I think I saw his daughter at the Benefit for Jerry Miller at The Swiss. She seemed very nice.

  • @suswan jimmy page under study Jerry ! put that in your pipe and smoke it!! lol

  • @steviegofcali7 I don't smoke but that's pretty cool. ;-)

  • @daddymcdaddy Does he have another daughter?

  • @daddymcdaddy that's funny. a person i know goes out with his son lol

  • In 1994 I played guitar with Jerry at a bike run in Ghost Town near Grants pass Oregon

he was drunk and we had a cutting heads contest Man!! and I smoked him,The Dogmann AKA Guitar Kenny

  • Thanks for sharing your story zzacksback.

  • You're lucky he was drunk, or he would have smoked you. After all he is Jerry Miller aka Jerry Miller.....

  • He still jazzes me and gives me chills like he did when I was 17 in 1966 at

The Avalon or Fillmore with The Grape.

Thanks-Always great to watch Jerry Miller in Action!

  • I'm not sure I understand the COWBOY get-up, but hell, he's Jerry Miller!

  • Without question Jerry is one of the Very Best to ever pick up a guitar, and he keeps getting Better.. Now if only he had proper Recognition for his Amazing talent and the rewards that go with that

  • Hmmm he's standing right in front of the funeral home,i'm shure all the dead people in there are all ready spining in their graves...LOL

  • Well, technically they're not in their graves yet! I think their toes were tapping though. ;-)

  • What inventive phrasing. Video is way out of sync and can't watch and listen. Just turn off the screen and listen for a world class guitar solo. Gotta go get my guitar....

  • jerry's the man !

  • jerry miller still makes great music.saw him @ summer of love in detroit 07/07.I met one of my heroes..... keep bendin those strings jerry

  • Jerry has gotten better with time. Watch the hands. He's a sculptor.

  • Jerry Miller kicks ASS!

  • Jerry Miller was one of the great unsung guitarists of his time. He's still got it. You only get better with age.

  • Thank heaven dude isn't taking soltisimba's advice. The world doesn't want Miller to hang it up. Moby Grape, Fillmore West, January. Be there. Hope I can.

  • nobody else sounds just like this so it's got to be out of synch... that's Jerry I'm hearing... always a total pleasure to hear! thanks

  • I think Jerry sounds great. Who says he doesn't have chops anymore? He's got them. Thanks for the post.

  • Jerry was voted #68 in Rolling Stones list of the 100 greatest guitarists. He was not the fastest, but he did great stuff for 1966-68, with picking and leads. Check out Moby Grape's very first album to hear him at his best.

  • oh, ok! that makes sense! thanks for letting me know! the solo is actually quite beautiful and I was wondering who might actually be playing it...jerry, you`re redeemed! a pity lots of this stuff is out of sync, though - shouldn`t be that much of a problem to fix.

  • who else noticed that we don`t get to see the lead guitarist? miller is playing accompaniment most of the time...great to see this teen hero alive and well, though;-)

  • The sound is out of sync with the video. That might be why it looks like Miller isn't playing lead, but I assure you, he most certainly WAS playing lead.

  • what the hell

  • Great snakey guitar lines. He really sounds great on "Live Grape" (circa '79?).

  • Agree that Moby Grape was a truly fine band. Saw them live in '68. And Miller drove them. But frankly, his chops have gone downhill, his voice is shot, and he needs to hang it up. Saw him live in 2005 and 3 songs were enough.

  • A great underrated guitarist from the old Moby Grape band.
