Nobody affiliated with the band refers to Roi as the Groogrux king nor do any of the fans, and even if they did the logic you present here is SUCH a stretch. Trust me, he's not Elvis nobody in the DMB community refers to him as "the King" so when we hear the song "Kill the King" we think nothing of LeRoi, except for maybe his Sax licks.

I wish I could find the video, i very apparent that the two are different. If DMB history has shown us anything, it's that there's no gurantees of what's going to make an album. There were songs in the Stand Up promos that have ever seen the light of day. So no, Shotgun is not a lock for the album. In fact, I think the only we'll hear it as a studio cut is if it's on a EP bonus disc along with the rest of the tunes we've heard recently. The new album will most likely be all new material. Cheers ~

That shotgun from the studio video last year is definitely the exact same one from the summer tour sampler cd. Listen again and match them up.

Also, Shotgun is not definite for the new album. The album is supposed to be all news songs with an EP at a later date that contains Shotgun, #27, Cornbread, Sister, Sugar Will and others.
