  • Whenever I listen to Bundanon I feel it unlocking a freedom to explore all the delights of an exciting world. It has the freshness and energy of a child running hither and thither in a beautiful garden of delights, at every turn seeing something new, sometimes stopping to explore briefly, sometimes to laugh in delight .. always full of expectation and excitement. It's refreshing, rejuvenating!! (Thanks Phillip! :))

  • So happy to have you here and to know you must be feeling better.

Another year is nearly over - a year wherein we formed a beautiful friendship, so thank you Margaret!

  • Thanks, Phillip - yes, I am gradually recovering and it's lovely to be able to enjoy youtube again. I love Bundanon and (the whole CD). Thank you for your thoughtfulness - and for being such a wonderful friend to me.

  • Ladies and gentlemen. We have an Australian Chopin.

This song means a new classic atmosphere.

    Very beautiful!

  • An Australian Chopin! He was my first real influence, yes, in as much as I wanted to write poetry at the piano. Bach became my musical father - and then the sounds and flavours of other cultures.

    Atmosphere - I like that.

I very much liked your pieces also Jonathas.

    GReat ! wonderful composition !!!!

  • Thank you for listening and taking the time to leave such a generous comment. I appreciate it very much!

  • Wow! Amazing! Reminds me a lot of Debussy and Scriabin :D wonderful! Good work Phillip!

  • Thanks again Erik. I was pleased with this piece especially - it was even played by 5 pianists in an international competition here a couple of years ago.

    Take care!

  • Here again. This piece is simply excellence.

    Thoughts:

It has a vista to it. A movement which ushers possibilites. The continuum of waves of tension and release create patterns reminding me of water and ambling walks. I imagine it with a variety of scenarios of visuals. Starry night or bright cool day. An introductory display.

  • I'm glad you are here again. :)

...a vista to it. I like that!

How are things in your rainbow coloured world?

  • Things are up and down. I am at peace. My world is not as dust covered as yours currently. I have been allowing myself to develope my ability to relax between phrases. I had been relaxing my hands. But I sometimes forget to relax my whole self. Particularly my breathing. I wish to play like I am singing.

  • The dust yesterday - awful!

Relax between phrases (phases?) - yes.

    Brevity and breath....breadth.

Ah - all music is, or should be conceived vocally, of course. To play as one sings - indeed!

  • Phases. Life. Yes.

The voice. An incredible inventivey invention in this universe. Most breathing creatures come standard with such a magnificent feature. Isn't it perfectly grand?

  • Perfectly grand as you so eloquently said!

I wonder what the timbre of the universe's voice is? I like to think it's closer to a cello.

  • wow, do you write music for movies? I checked your wikipedia page and it didn't say. I hope, more people find and hear your music, you have helped to bring classic back to classical music. :)

  • Oh, I wouldn't pay too much attention to the wikipedia page. It's not factual. I don't know who wrote it. Better visit my website - yes?

Thank you. I've thought of writing for films. That would be a challenge.

This reply may appear twice :)

    Blessings.....

  • Arthur Boyd has a dedicated approach to his interpretation. I am learning with every milisecond.

  • Oh - the pianist here is Jeanell Carrigan.

I've neglected to mention that in the description. Apologies .....

  • Apologies for not recognizing Carrigan's lovely playing. I see Arthur Boyd is an esteemed visual artist. Yes? Forgive me.

  • Yes, Arthur Boyd was/is one of Australia's greatest painters. His grandson Alexander is a wonderful pianist based in London. I heard him in London in 2006.I believe he played Bundanon some time ago in concert.

    Blessings friend....

  • I think you would have been a most welcomed guest at the Bundanon Estate had Arthur Boyd known you!

Always a pleasure my dear friend.....

  • This was really, really good!

  • Thank you for commenting, I appreciate it!

  • A really beautiful piece, I really enjoyed listening to it!

  • Thanks....

    :):):)

  • Beatiful! I checked the images and it really captures the spirit of bundanon perfectly.

  • Really? Thank you. I'm so glad you did that.

    Blessings......
