  • i have never been this happy to learn about chemistry...

  • ooohhh this explains all of the stuff that doesn't make sense in science class. Especially the end!!! thank you so much. I'm a grade 9 student and these videos are fun for me to get ahead.

  • thank you for this video!!!!

  • Well spotted! It is a error. I have corrected it in version 2 of this video. Thank you.

  • the titanium atomic number is 22, how come there were only 20 electrons in your arrow diagrams..

  • There will be 5 subshells on n=5. It goes, 1 subshell on n=1, and 2 subshells for n=2, and 3 subshells for n=3 etc.

  • how many subshells are there in n=5 though??

  • n is just the shell number. n=1 shell number is the lowest energy shell nearest the nucleus. n=2 is the next energy level shell. The shells are divided into subshells, like 1s, 2s 2p and the orbitals make up the subshells.

  • And what does the n= mean?

  • Can someone explain to me the difference energy levels please..i'm so lost and i really want to understand it

    like level 1= 2 .. s level 2= 8 .. s+p level3 = 8 ..s+p +d

Can someone pleaseee help me understand that thanks

  • super helpful. thanks!
