@Hiraghm That's if you're talking about colors of light but if you're talking about colors of objects, it's the other way around. For instance red absorbs all wavelengths except for those of red light. So if you mix all colors, it will absorb all light (and repel small portion of all light making it really dark gray which we perceive as black), if you remove all the colors, it will repel all light (and if that light is white like that form the Sun, it will look white).

well that's not so wrong. mixing all colors in PIGMENT gives you black. but its not that simple.. you're not really "mixing" the colors if it's in PIGMENT, you see... if you take crayons for example... a crayon works by subtractive colors, for example a red crayon absorbs red and green lights and so on.. what we call color is what is reflected..red crayon reflects red and absorbs others

Do you get all your science from colored paper? When all colors on the spectrum (not just the visible spectrum, either) are combined, it creates white. Black is the absence of color.
