  • That's a sad sight man.. That tank, besides being the most boring and un fish friendly i've ever seen, is WAY to small for Oscars.

Why have fish if you're not interested in them? You have NO idea how Oscars behave, becuse you haven't given them a chance to act like Oscars.

  • i got 2 baby oscars 90 gal with fluval 405 filter this min with 2 oscars when they get bigger i will get rid of one 30 gal is way to small for one oscar

  • Nice 10 gallon tank

  • good oscars!!!!

  • nice setting,.. simple.. to crowded thow

  • tank is way to small you jackass overcrowded

  • mmm....my favorite fish))

  • does the thermometer in the tank have mercury

  • god knows

  • @arthropoda

    No he doesn't.

  • I also keep my gibiceps together with my 4 oscars.

  • get a bigger tank , nice set of fishes tho :] , ihave 2 1 month old oscars and one firemouth had 2 buh the killed the littlest one :/

  • get a bigger tank......

  • well its not 80 gallons but its a pretty awsome tank

  • Beautiful, healthy looking fish. A pleasure to watch them. I hope to have my oscar for as long!

  • 9 years? HOLY SHIT?

  • it's good but the thank is too small

  • not very small, just small :)

  • get a bigger tank

  • hey is it normal for oscars to have a like dent on their head or something because i got one from a sale when i bought a tank and i want to know if it is healthy or not, he was with my larger turtles for a while, so he got a nipped tail but they didnt hurt the oscar since he was just in there until i finished cleanig the huge tank but is tat normal? or if not wat is it?"

  • @EcBuddy123 it sounds like hole in head which is a serious oscar disease. You can find meds yo get rid of it at your local fish store

  • @wretched5705 yeah i did reasearching apperantly the old owner didnt do too well but im going to start working on it

  • @EcBuddy123 alright hope it all turns out ok! good luck!

  • you are in desperate need of a bigger tank, two oscars that size should be in a 125g

  • i dont believe that this is 9 yrs old! big joke!

  • yeah, i got bored one day,

and i found this brilliant idea,

i uploaded the video of my oscars, but as i am a great joker, instead of writing 3 , wrote 9 for their ages, what a funny day it was

  • @arthropoda Nice comeback! lol

  • You have bad noise problem with your aquarium.

  • 14"? bullshit...they look like 9" in a 29gallon tank

  • "bullshit i can measure from my pc screen" :)

  • @arthropoda then why do you have two annotations that say "85 gallons" and "66 gallons"?

  • how long take it for an oscar to grow big?

  • @Porre1337

if you keep the water at the right temp. and feed them well they can get massive in a year

  • what size tank is that?

  • wut do u do with all he fry if u sell them cheap i would take some

  • These two Oscars are beautiful! Congratulations and my respects to those who cared for them all these years.

  • Thanks Ukana

  • How long can Oscars live for??

  • upto 25 years.. it depends how you keep it.. but in the wild 25years max

  • no not really, the max is said to be around 15~17 years.

  • nice looking oscars but their quality of life must suck balls. fuck ammonia levels and all that bullshit, if they're still alive after 9 years you must have that under control... but honestly, i couldn't even enjoy watching a tank like that all the time knowing how bored out of their minds they must be. lol thats probably why they spawn 4 times a year... nothin better to do.

  • nice oscar's but you need a min of 90G for 2 oscar

  • sorry mate just read some of your comment and can see you are awear thay look happy>>>>

  • That is bull. Sorry, but i have 2 adult oscars and 5 silver dollars in a 70gal and they still have lots of room and the water is tested weekly and is always perfect. As long as you take care of your tank and keep up with the water changes and the ammonia and nitrate levels you are in the clear.

  • ZOMFG! you need at least 100,000G tank aka seaworld for just 1 oscar...gawd!!! how can you have 2 in there? JK! im thinking of starting new with my 75G and getting 1 may B 2 oscars.

  • @evilEKegg actually the recommended minimum is 29 gallons

  • nice oscar's dude im getting one myself .. any tips on how to make them that big?

  • Tips on making your oscar big:

Oscars grow real fast and with proper conditions should grow at least an inch a month. Make sure you keep your water clean and feed him at least twice a day. he will be that big in no time!!! My 2 oscars are 10 and 12 inches. it doesn't take much to get them to grow.

  • thats gotta be a 50 or 60 atleats its looks like considering how big yur fish are

  • how many gal is that tank anyway, not that i think its to small, i got 1 oscar and thats it in a 40 gal, i heard thats the minimum or something, ill find out later i guess cause my fish is not very big yet

  • fish look helth and must be doing well if youve had them 9 years hes doing dome thing right ,, yes he could do with a bit biger tank but i think he dosent need every 1 to tell him , keep it up mate , geat looking fish :)

  • You kno what, fuck all dat small tank bullshit, these fish look healthy as hell so it really dont matter. Keep it up maaaaaaa manssz.

  • Umm it does matter, and there is alot more to fish health than color. That population in that tank is fucked and i bet he suffers from ammonia spikes and that fish at 2:57 does not look that great. Look at my videos of my tank if u don't think i know Freshwater

  • you must have 100 comments related to you getting a bigger tank. so i am not going to go down that road...instead...i am going to say you need to get a background on your tank lol. even though those oscars are crowded. they seem to be doing okay. good job, i have a few vids of my two oscars in a 120 gallon if you wanted to know what it would be like. check em out

  • Umm.. it ype did not say anything bout the color...and yeah your videos don't look like you know abything bout freshwater.

  • Your tank is fine, you don't need a swimming pool for your Oscars..30 gallons a piece is fine

  • fuck bag you don't know what you are talking about!!!!!

  • hey freind you remember this

  • lol I am sorry.... I am not an evil person I swear lol

  • tank is to small

  • yep bigger tank is a must, and if u cant afford or u dont have space then the oscar is not for ya; that is called meetin ur animals needs. knowin ur animals needs for a happy life n not meetin them=neglect. but good lookin oscars

  • Seriously now dont listen to everybody! Not all ppl can afford to get a 100 gallon tank, and not ppl have space for that kind of tank, and for those reasons you cant keep the fish you like????NICE TANK AND NICE FISH!

  • Yes, Just becaue of those reasons you cant keep a fish.

  • What size is that tank ? Its way to small, Your oscars are nice fish but do them a favor & get them a 100gallon tank.

  • Maybe on their 10 yrs anniversary you will get'em a bigger tank. They need it.

  • The tanks is to small. For the fish to feel good, and show of their natural behaviour, you'd need a much bigger one. I've gad Oscars myself, and they are pretty demanding when it comes to the tank you keep them in.

Lovely to see a nine yo couple though. I hope you'll do them the favour, and give them a proper home.

  • Thats the smallest tank I have ever seen two adult oscars in with like 15 other fish.

That doesnt make any sense, that water would need to be changed every other day. Minimum

  • what do you do with all of the spawn?

  • hi everyone , just wondering if you can advise me on stocking, iv got a 66gallon tank, i want a pair of oscars a pair of parrot fish in the tank, what else do you recommend with them , and up to how many fish of that size can i stock to in this tank.

    thanks

  • that tank is to small for the a piar if oscars and parrots. i dont mean to be rude but that is the truth

  • its 80 us gallons? iv changed my mind on the pair of oscars. can i have just one ? what other south american cichlids can you recommmend. thanks

  • dont listen to the fagle emo-kid bro, 1 oscar and a 6" pleco? are you fucking kidding me!?! i have an oscar, a rope fish, pleco and a jewel cichlid(a red jack dempsey basically) in my 64gl, 3'x1.5'X2' tank and im gonna get a couple eels, another ropefish and possibly a small arowana, paroon shark or another oscar - not sure on the last 3. i say get the fish you like, small, let them grow and when your tank seems to be getting crowded or someone gets too large, bring it in and trade it out

  • 66 gallons u can put a medium oscar and a 6 inch pleco

  • The oscar growth depend the size of the tank !!!

  • smaller tank just calls for more cleaning , heavier filtration, more frequent water changes, i think he has a done a fine job, c,mon he doesnt have them in a 10 gallon, not everyone is a member of the 100 gallon club.

  • if you can't afford the tank don't buy the fish. It's not a hard concept to understand. You are a complete moron if you actually think that a fish that grows to be 12 inches long can live a healthy life in a tank that it can barely turn around in. Not to mention all the other random fish thrown in there. Oh and if you actually think the dingy looking water looks clean... then I've given up all hope for you.

  • Yes, and also if they can't afford a kid then don't have a kid. I am sick of baby sitting with my tax money.

  • actually if the silver fish were removed and the two oscars live together peacefully as i suspect they do sinse theyre a 9 y.o couple, the tank size is alright

  • well his oscars arent massive , but a pretty good size and look perfectly healthy, lived 9 years in this 29 gallon, this should shut a few so called oscar experts/ critics up. Nice fish man.

  • Your fucking retarded

  • i have one tiger oscar and one plecos which is about 4-5 inches long in my 29gal. tank. you got way too many in a 29gal. i am looking to move up to a 55-60 gal very soon as "Juno" is growing very fast.

  • 29 gal tank?

i got 2 baby oscars in my 29 gal with a big like 7-8 inch goldfish

  • I have an Oscar roughly 12 years old with a 4 year old...The 12 year old no longer eats live prey..I figure its to old to chase it!

  • 9 years and only got that big?

  • omg i cant believe your oscars haven't eaten your small fish! m8 you really do need a bigger tank!

  • bissel klein dat aquarium

  • do your oscars get along with all the other fish in the tank?

Just trying to figure out what I can put in with my oscar.

    check out my old tank.

  • Would you guys like your pacifiers now? If you cannot criticize constructively and help the guy out just suck on you pacifiers and shut up.

  • I cant understand why idiots like you buy big fish and get small tanks. oscars need big tanks, they are big fish

  • no u r the idiot oscers do not nedd a bik tank i hacce got 35 oscers and all of them r healthy and non of them r in a tank bigger than 45g

  • hey, shut the fuck up. Your oscars are probably stunted and are unhealthy and look like shit. Plus learn to spell retard.

  • its called slang u idiot

  • Comment removed

  • noooooooo so small???

  • are they fresh water like goldfishes or salt water?

  • wow!

you are a dumb fuck oscars are fresh water nothing like gold fish, gold fish are stupid pesk pesks that only carry diseases they are terrible fish!

oscars are great fish and nothing can compare to them!!!

  • he was just asking you asshole wtf is your problem?

  • your tank is way over crowded

  • haha at least they lived for a long ass time

  • shame on u man ! ur tank's too small !!!

  • is it fuck

  • Your tank is much too small for those fishes. Actually you shouldn't figure that by yourself.

  • shouldn't --> should

  • what is the tank size? nice fish

  • grammer has nothing to do with this video shithead, yellow water dosent mean anything, my water is brown uh oh its shit, wait no its not its drift wood. fuck how about you learn before you post comments.

  • I have an albino and a tiger oscar. The tiger is 12" and the albino 11" last i measured months ago and they are about 2 years old.

  • OMG!!!!!!!!! LOL.( THE COMMENTS HERE ..FUNNY.... WELL THE VIDEO WAS AMAZING 9 YRS old !! WOW.! I HAVE A 4 MONTHS OSCAR AND ITS GETTING REALLY BIG AND PRETTY...

  • why is the water yellow and not clear

  • the water is yellow becaues there is some thing called black water. it is a liquid. and you could add it to your fresh water tank so the water could turn like that it also has alot ofg benifits.

  • or i could be from the driftwood this happens when you dont tan the wood long enough

  • 9 years old they have had a good run! How about buying them a larger tank as their retirement gift? Also with you Plecos do you find fighting eachother in the tank at all?

  • you need at least a 55 gallon tank for 1 oscar. thats why yours keep dying..

    sweet vid dude

  • how do yu keep these every oscari ve had died.the largst one ive had was like 7in.then i got 2 albino reds and they got sick and jus died so idk.i want to buy ome more but they will probably die like theb rest

  • me 2 it dosent make sence:( i had how many baby oscars in 20 gallon tank to b raised in till they get bigger and they always died:( try putting it in a 10 gallon tank at first for some reason mine lived more longer then the others had and still going

  • idk wat the problem is the first one i had was king of the aquarium so that probably why but it was like 7in then i got 1 3in red devil and it had a growth spurt and was the same size as the oscar and he killed it then the red devil died becuz it gave up on fish food...i love red devils so i got another and anoher oscar the red devil was like 2in and so ws the oscar the oscar died becuz it ate a tinfoil barb and it got stuck and my red devil is still alive its 7in and starting to get a hump

  • what does idk mean???????????????/

  • idk= i dont know

  • what is wrong with the world today? we have a world wide language i.e English we have been handed this down genaration through generation. We have schools that teach us languages yet why to people persist in the strange text speak??

    It baffles me.

  • well wats the point of writing a long word when you can make it shorter and be the samething

  • the point is we have a english language that we in britain are proud spoken all over the world and all this silly text speak detracts from it I suppse it is the way of the modern world probably started in america

  • it's called evolution, everything evolves including language. Get over it!!

  • it is not evolution is is an abomination and just plain laziness get over that !!!!!

  • oh...i thought this video was about "fish " and NOT "language"

  • guess wat i got 2 more oscars 1 tiger and 1 red...the red one got sicc so it couldnt eat then the tiger started attacking it and killed it...

  • Someone has proven yet again that stereotype recommendations necessarily do not always hold good. No HITH, 9 Year old couple.. What more could you ask for? In fact, in most LFS, Oscars are kept in smaller tanks. However, with very good filtration (I have a powerhead that has a lph of 10 times the tank's nominal volume) and my oscars are very happy.

  • ud have to test the water to see if its suitable. it could look nice from the outisde

  • mine arent even a year old and bigger then dat i got a 75 gallon

  • maybe the tank looks small from the video. 9 years old.. thats pretty decent for Oscars .. and 35cm.

  • Do u know how much 35 cm means and is,dont fool us ,ur tank thermometer can be usedas a refference and if thats correct ur oscars are not more than 8inches -but they are healthy

  • I dont balme the person for small tank ,many like to keep oscars as long as they are healthy and water is clean its fine, bigger tanks are preffered for oscars but anything of 40g would be enough to keep a oscar -but it may just gtow less than 10 inches

  • to many fish and to small aquaruim

  • wat the fuk man that is way too small for them oscars and for all them fish get a bigger tank its altleast 55gallons for 1 oscar thats too small for even one oscar for fuck sake

  • if those oscars are 35cm long each then that tanks isnt that small... they have loads of space from front to rear and have paired off... they fine and happy in that tank... :)

    Well done :)

  • hey i about to buy an oscar at wal mart and im goin to put it in my ten gallon tank with my 5inch feeder goldfish and my black moor and my fantail goldfish.

  • This is way too small tank man, not even for Oscars, but the plecos need more space also

  • it could be used as a breeding tank, so they stay "close together" lol

  • i hate it when people get huge fish that NEED BIG TANKS na dthey just end up living in that !! if your gonna get the worlds biggest pet fish then use your brain and get a huge tank !!

  • get a bigger tank you fool

  • how bif is the tank....it doesnt look that small...

  • 9 years old! hes doing something right.

plus size is important yet most important of all is filtration if you go to any pet store they keep oscars in small tanks all the time for long periods of time but they do okay because they have awsome filters i recommend aqua clear i worked at petsmart for a year n they have had no complaints. though i agree that tank is at the minimum for an oscar.

    good job! :)

  • i have a 2000 litre per hour aqua clear and i hate it. it feels cheap and some how gets air inside it and makes noises. to stop it from making noises i have to turn it upsidedown to get the air out. but not long after it somehow gets air inside it again. its been doing this from the day i bought it.

my tota filter for my 4 foot tank is brilliant and its a cheap brand and ive had it for 9 years now.

  • piekne ryby!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • acquario picinino !!!!

  • gorgeous oscars. i miss mine.

  • if it were me I would shust sell the fish,I aint paying 150$ or 200$ for a fish tank, maximum for me is a 40 gallon...hands down...

  • Dude... too small tank, and its a bad idea to keep locally caught fish will CB fish because of the risk of parasites.

  • thats why you quarantine them..

  • what does that mean?

  • your tank is way too small for even one of that oscars, not to mention that u have about 10 fishes more. Plecostomus can be really messy, i see you are doing a good job with cleaning them. But i realy think they need more space....beside that....WOW GREAT FISHES :D

  • wow...

    nice fishes...

    u need a bigger tank...

  • nice oscar but i hate that noise of the water clashing with it.

  • Oh wow, you need to update your tank. Do they have HITH yet? I had just gotten my oscar (snowflake) home for about a month, and he started to get HITH. So, I went out and bought him a bigger tank. I can't believe your tank is only 66 gallons, and they don't have HITH..

  • tank size dosnt really affect getting Hith ....its a natural occuring disease among oscars....any kind of stress can cause HITH

  • therefore a lack of space would cause stress..

  • holy crap X)! nice koi xD

  • what a beautiful plecostomus :o I WANT IT !

but... try to buy a bigger tank :S

  • u needa bigger tank

  • oh yeah your oscar is 2 diff specie

  • they wont lay egg that easy they are very picky about that believe it or not i have 4 of them for 3 year so yeah good luck

  • for gods sake someone tell me how can i tell the male oscar or the female one?!I've two oscars who are larg enough but they dont do any thing except eating!i want them to lay eggs.

  • it's very hard the only way you can tell which is which is when spawning.

  • I read that the males have brighter coloring. So the male in this vid is the one with the high contrast black and red coloration. The female is the lighter colored one... or maybe that's just an albino Oscar. I'm no expert, but that's what I read.

  • thanks

  • how old where they when they reached there full size

  • they were bigger than 30 cm when they were 1 year old

    they grow very rapid

  • how old are they

  • wow! THANK you very much

  • Whoever wants to buy an Oscar Fish please visit my page and watch the video for info.

  • how big is your tank?

  • 250 liters

  • how the fuck are you people keepin plecos alive

  • oh yah will the fins grow back when they get damaged? haha sorry if im asking too much or after they heal will they stay different? sorry heh

  • :) as the acidity of water gets higher, fins get damaged. try to do regular water changes (1/3 per week). do not worry, fins heal easily.

  • thank you umm my other oscars like 1and1/2 years old and its like 9 inches wil it still grow pls answer and umm does feeder fish or those small gold fish like things boost their size faster?

  • wow 9 yrs ive heard oscars can live about like 13 yrs

can you pls tell me how to get my oscars big and fast pls thanks

  • feed them with worm and meat (prefer fat free meat, otherwise it will be very hard to clean the water). they like the meat of whiting fish a lot.

  • Nice looking oscars, although I wouldn't even house just two oscars in tank that small..

  • how bigs that tanks

  • is that a koi?? can koi live with oscar? my kois are with my tilapias but with oscar?? O_o?

  • yes, the big silver one is a koi.

it is the matter of size, not the specie, any fish bigger than the mouth of oscar can cope with it.

  • nice Plecos. but your filter has a heavy strain your tank turns mirky a lot i bet
