  • now if you look closely, you can see that LeBron traveled

  • The music is extremely anti-climactic .

  • 44 dislikes? jesus christ people

  • Didn't barry sanders get his team to the NFL playoffs at one point with a 10-6 record? With a crappy O-line, a substandard QB with a WR named Herman Moore?

Though I doubt this is the first time a team would ever squander the efforts of a legend.

  • good title

  • Barry was considered the best running back to ever play perhaps only behind Jim Brown. Sports commentators, coaches and many other players often referred to Barry as the best running back who ever played. In his first 10 and most productive years Emmitt Smith reached 13963 yards to the 15269 yards Barry posted in his only 10 seasons. Emmitt is a great back, Barry is the standard.

  • he had no offensive line.. it was 11 vs barry

  • @VlCK7 You got it. People kept comparing him with Emmitt Smith...there was no comparison. All you had to do was put Emmitt behind Barry's line & Barry behind Emmitt's. Emmitt wouldn't have done squat with the Lions; Barry would have done as well with the Cowboys.

  • @generalbullmoose if not better cuz he had blocking

  • If Barry Sanders was on the Cowboys with that offensive line, he would of rushed for 3000 yards in a season, and yes I am being serious. He put so many big numbers up behind a line that was downright horrible, imagine if he was running behind Newton, Stepnoski, Williams, Gogan, Tuinei and had Johnston as his lead blocker

  • Homerun wins Baseball games, in football u need Jim Brown/Emmit/W.Peyton

  • Sanders averaged over 4 yards a run in the playoffs... so you are wrong about that. Your TD to touch ratio is also way off....A 250% difference actually. As far as outdoor play goes... I just looked at nfl game logs for away games. He actually did better in away games in outdoor stadiums during his rookie year and '97(the two years I checked although I'm sure others are the same). He does particularly well @GB and @CHI

  • Knute Rockne, Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders

  • This is the first time I've ever seen him get tackled. Seriously.

  • I can settle this argument right now. On NFL.COM they had a list of the top 100 greatest players ever. On their list Barry was number 17. IF I remember correctly Emmit was like 35. Now, NFL.COM also had a list based on FAN voting. Guess where Barry was? Number 4. Now those are some stastics no one can argue with. Emmit while a very talented runner, and a HoFer. CANNOT compete with Barry Sanders. Barry Sanders was thee only running back to ever run for at least 1000 yeards in his first ten years

  • Shame on everyone who disses on Barry Sanders. You can never agree on who's best but he's still the shit. Whether your like him or not any intelligent football fan would agree. Hey everyone dissing barry, how is your NFL career going?

  • @gerthy22 Who in the hell can diss on Barry Sanders? They would have to be retarded. Even if you don't think he is the best, I do btw. You still have to put him into the top 5, at least my top 5 in no order. Walter Payton, Bo Jackson, Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, Marshall Faulk

  • the 34 people that disliked this clip must be Vikings fans.

  • Barry had ONE bad game in the playoffs and only had 13 rushes. I can guarantee you if he had 20+ carries like he was used to, he would have gained a lot more yards... Emmit had bad games in the playoffs too behind a much better o line

  • he gained 13 yards. So!

  • The soccer player Maradona used the same technique, stop and go, the defenders can't keep up once they stop to watch the show.

  • FAIL!

  • emmitt smith had one of the best offensive lines of the 90s, one of the best qbs of the 90s and one of the best wr of all time. barry sanders had barry sanders

  • @frenchydawg Emmitt also had a coaching staff that included Jimmie Johnson as head coach and Norv Turner as offensive coordinator.

  • Barry & Emmitt had two different running styles. Respectively two of the best backs of the 90's. Cant argue with that.

  • my 2 inches of dick just got hard watching this. smh

  • NO HE WAS FULL OF HIMSELF

  • @SuperBlaze46 seriously, shut the fuck up. You're just trying to stir up shit on youtube.

  • hahahahahah bullshit your full of shit, you met barry sanders and he is not down to earth at all ,HE has always been extremely excessively full of himself and there is nothing wrong with it!~!!! SO ............... SHUT THE FUCK UP PUSSY

  • lol..Emmitt Smith is the ALL TIME LEADING RUSHER and if you watched his induction into the Hall of Fame you would know that he is NOT full of himself..

  • Another Barry Sanders run that got the Lions inside the Red Zone. I'm sure they took him out of the game on the very next play.

  • emmitt smith was surrounded by: nate newton, larry allen, daryl johnston, jay novacek and had a great passing game. barry was targeted pre-snap every-snap. plus he played 50% less seasons!!! how it is even an argument is beyond me.

  • the fuck was that

  • Farral ur a faget this is Toby gerhart speed kills

  • everybody get it through chris johnson isn't even that good i congrtulate on him ongetting 2k yards in one season but this is a passing league and noone cares about running backs anymore than arne't important if he could actually break tackles than he would be good

  • @farrell915 i dont know about that give chris johnson daylight and thats it. Speed barry on the other hang will break your ankles. Barry shook the tackles off of his ass.

  • @farrell915

    YOURE A MORON!

  • @dawhiteguy622 really. umm... so do fumbles and adrian perterson gets like 29 a year

  • @farrell915 exactly....that's why AP is the most overrated RB in the NFL...to be honest I would take CJ, Frank Gore, Jackson, MJD III or Ray Rice over AP!

  • @dawhiteguy622 CJ isn't that great. he is going to have one good year. you can't compare player that have one great year. what about ricky williams who had like 1800 his rookie year. what haooened to him. stop saying player are great after one great year. gore isn't great yet but still over CJ. jackson and ray rice might be the best in the league right now if jackson will try with the rams who have nothing on offense and rice i watched all 4 years in rutgers and i know how great he can be

  • @farrell915

First off Ricky had 884 yards his first season, then 1000, then 1245...THEN 1853 once he got traded to Miami.

CJ had the greatest season of ANY rb (as far as yards)....he has 12 straight 100 yard games and not ONE of his linemen went to the pro bowl. He ran for a shitty team and was their only weapon!

As a rookie he got less than HALF the carries and still had 1228 yards (4.8 average) in his FIRST season as a starter he gained 2500+ yards! HE IS THE BEST RB IN THE NFL!

  • @dawhiteguy622 those 3 years when he played for who?... the saints. and just because they didn't go to the pro bowl doesn't meas their not good. they actually have a great line going unnoticed. and shawn andrews who plays for the eagles. (if anymore) is one of the gresatest tackles in the league and never made a pro bowl. neither does anyone else. he is not the best. think what you want. but he isn't that great. i will laugh when he isn't that great next year.

  • @farrell915 seriously that is the dumbest comment ever....RB are the more vesatile position in the league. Unless you are the Colts with Peyton Manning you are not going to win without a running game. NO TEAM is that one dimensional.

  • @dawhiteguy622 are you fucking serious. lets go threw the past superbowl champions. sainsts- bush sucks and thomas nooone evens knows. steelers have a rookie mendenhall. colts still don't have anyone. now lets go with runner ups. colts have noone cardinals have hightower and wells who both fumbles all the time. to be good you have to have great passing and decent running. and who has one the superbowl 3 times past 10 years. patriots have no running back anymore dillon was good when they used RB

  • @farrell915

THE SAINTS HAD THE #6 RUN GAME LAST SEASON YOU DUMBASS!

The steelers WON BC they had the #1 DEFENSE!

The patriots ALSO won because of defense...what happened when they had Brady go for 50 tds??? THEY LOST to a GOOD DEFENSE and RUNNING TEAM!

  • @dawhiteguy622 against what teams were they playing. teams that had no run defense. and i never said anything about a defense u asshole. exactly how many touchdowsn did that defense score.1 and what happened to the giants now. they are a good running team and 3rd in the nfc east and missed the playoffs. running isn't important anymore. look into the NFL and u will realize that you need to pass to win important games.

  • check out my highlight tape just type in

    tavon willis

  • not really

    AP trucks people

    Sanders jukes them

  • @shawnyadeadhomie its easy to truck corners about half your size AP can't truck bro

  • yeah i know

AP is no where near as good as Barry Sanders

Chris Johnson on the other hand

reminds more of Sanders than any other back

  • jim brown is the greatest by far... if anyone argues just look him up, u'll easily see that he was not a human being but in fact a hybrid cross between an android and a bulldozer

  • Jim Brown was the greatest of his era. He was bigger and stronger than everyone else,.

That wouldn't be the case today.

A great player, but consigned to his era. Barry would be great in any and all eras.

  • fair enough... just throw barry sanders, walter payton, and jim brown into the pot of best runningbacks and call it a day

  • @majikman85 i love how no one says smith..... idk i lost respect for smith to fucking guy stayed 18 years to break the records.... barry was in there for 9 and he ended up with only 3k yards less than smith

  • emmitt played 15 years and barry played ten

  • i wonder if barrys coach ever got mad at his style, backwards run.

  • Jim brown was a great back if he was in this era hed of been top ten all time the same as he was..... the difference is he played against mostly white football players no offence to white ppl i am one but i mean thats a big difference when you put someone like barry back in that era.... youd never see him get takled hed be juking everyone there..... but jum brown is great but not by far

  • but yeh they are all three the best

  • emmitt smith... he had the best balance of any back i've seen play... that guy would never trip, stumble, when he got hit he would bounce and keep moving... the only thing i dont like about him is how he couldnt accept the fact that he was getting old

  • @majikman85 WTF??????????? lol he stumbled, faked injury, etc, he sucked balls!

  • @majikman85

bullshit...he played in an era of D linemen the size of todays LB's and LB the size of todays DB's! he was just ahead of his time!

  • I would really like to know how Barry Sanders could ever be over rated. with the exception of being called better than Jim Brown, as Barry's" Dad" admitted on

live TV. Emmitt had the benefit of arguably the best Offensive line of all time. Hell Brown didn't even need one.

  • Comment removed

  • Ese Negro corre bien chingon. Parece que lo va sigiendo la chota.

  • I met Barry professionally. He was so down to earth and not at all full of himself like Emmit Smiff is/was.

Barry Sanders, a ONE of a kind.

  • @SEEVIEGEENIE i met Barry on a plane flight, he talked to everyone and was a total class act!

  • @SEEVIEGEENIE Yah i see him all the time in detroit he is VERRRRRRYYYYY quiet

  • this video is dumb

  • @bigtyme27 No such thing as a dumb Barry clip.

  • @kIDcHA0S what about the ones when he gets tackled for like a 10 or 5 yard loss that happens occasionally? im pretty sure thats why he has negative 1114 yards..

  • @itsmybunny1 I don't ever recall a year when Barry had negative 1114 yards but uh....... *scratches head* ... uh......yeah......

  • @kIDcHA0S are you stupid lol.. He has negative 1114 yards his whole season not a year...?

  • @itsmybunny1 That would be 'lifetime' you moron. And who gives a shit.

  • @kIDcHA0S who gives a shit? im pretty sure if you were a coach you dont want your player losing yards, or if your a runningback you dont want to be known as the runningback who lost over 1000 yards. Those people give a "shit"

  • @itsmybunny1 The only ones who should give a shit are every opposing defensive player and coach Barry ever faced and striked fear into the hearts of.

  • @kIDcHA0S now why the hell would opposing defenders give a shit, when barry sanders loses 10 yards in the backfield, my god are you dumb? lol... Face it barry lost as much yards as he gained... and he couldn't gain very much when it counted, or when it was a cold outdoor game, hence why you never see him playing good against any cold city outdoors, bears, vikings, packers..

  • @itsmybunny1 Barry; most elusive running back ever. You; one of the dumbest people I have ever met. There's really nothing else to say....but by all means, please continue to show the world your ignorance.

  • @kIDcHA0S in what 4 comments did i say barry wasn't elusive? your one of the most dumbest, especially thinking barry losing 1114 yards isnt a big deal.

  • @itsmybunny1 ~yawn~ bored.... sooooooooo bored..

  • @kIDcHA0S bored of watching him play?

  • @itsmybunny1 *Brain cells....going numb ... by ... the minute*...

  • @itsmybunny1 You're missing one important thing, his offensive like sucked a giant cock.

  • @Coh4lyfe Line*

  • @Coh4lyfe your missing one important thing, He had a better o-line then Payton. Dont believe me? look it up? He had better wide receivers and qbs too. while your looking those up look up how he averaged only 2.8 yards a carry during the play offs or how he scored 1 td every 135 touches. Or even how he couldn't play outdoors. Good bye

  • @itsmybunny1 or he could just look up the comments I said to you on the other two videos, which you decided not to respond to. Get a life, get over your little dog syndrome and stop bashing every HoF that isn't Walter Payton. Payton would have had enough respect for the game to be ashamed of you for how you try to defend him. Also, calling someone "Most dumbest" is such a flagrant abuse of the English language that it made me laugh.

  • @itsmybunny1 How about you actually know what you're talking about before you open your mouth?

    Retard...

  • @Coh4lyfe itsmybunny has some funny comments on other videos as well. I'm going to start checking the comments he makes on his profile and read them instead of the comics each morning.

  • Emmitt Smith was damned NICE. I'm just glad that he didn't have to play with a mediocre O-line.

Getting hit by DBs and LBs is one thing, getting slammed by DL's and LB's is QUITE ANOTHER.

Barry Sanders was RUNNING FOR HIS DAMNED LIFE in Det. Not too many other dudes could have pulled it off. Marcus Allen, O.J. (who ran for his life too), Walter Payton and Bo Jackson come to mind.

Then again, we're talking about the best to ever play.

  • r u guys really trying to compare emmitt to barry?? that is a joke. emmitt is top 10, possibly top 5 (like right at number 5) all time but barry is either number 1 or 2 all time

  • tht wasnt the only reason the other one was because he was going to beat walter paytons rushing record and he didnt want to break it for 2 reasons...1.) peyton was his childhood hero 2.) he didnt want to play for the record he wanted to play because he loves football

  • Barry sanders went 10 pro bowls which was his career and he retired because he wanted to leave detroit but they wouldnt let him leave just like the bengals wont let chad johnson leave.

  • he's the best... if he would have played as long as emmit smith he would have smoked him. He didn't win a Super Bowl cus the Lions never have a pro bowl quarterback or even a decent one. And offense doesn't win either.. when has Detroit had a good defense. He is the best to play the game and you can't bring in the championship factor in.

  • @gerthy22

Um 95 they had the #2 passing game dumbass. Oh AND the ydidnt win a playoff game because barry SUCKED in the playoffs!

  • @dawhiteguy622 one season, dumb ass. He sucked in playoffs b/c besides one year where we had an awesome passing game, we were one dimensional

  • @gerthy22

but he didnt suck in playoffs.... he had a 4.2 ypc average and if you factor out that one bad game he had, where he only had a few carries to begin with in terrible weather, and his playoff average jumps up to 4.8 ypc. LOL that isnt bad. He didnt have that many yards and touchdowns because he didnt have that many carries, not to mention they would pull him at the goaline(even though Barry was usually the reason they were near the endzone) because they didnt want him to get injured..

  • The one game where Barry had 20+ carries like he was used to, he rushes for 169 yards and a 6.3 ypc average...what a surprise. Barry was their best offensive weapon and the primary reason they were even in the playoffs to begin with. In 4 of his 6 playoff appearances, Barry had 13 carries or less...Way to utilize the greatest pure runner of all time when you need him most lol. Fontes sucks. But again, 4.2 ypc average is not bad against the best defenses in the league all primarily keying on you.

  • 4.2 ypc is not bad any time actually.

  • @splendid1000 not to mention that most runningbacks get "better" the more carries they get. The more touches the more likely they are to spring a long run, which Barry was notorious for doing. 13 carries isn't going to do it, Fontes is an idiot. I remmeber when they use to bring in their second back on goaline situations, they do realize Barry had a 42 inch vertical and could easily jump over the line to score, I repeat, Fontes is an idiot.

  • @splendid1000 Or Because Wayne Fontes was a fucking idiot

  • Barry Sanders was tied for the greatest runningback with Walter Payton and others... the problem is, like porklover101 said, "its hard to say which RB was the best overall because the greatest running backs all had different styles" and he is right, Barry Sanders and Walter Payton were two different types of runningbacks and everybody should see that...

  • ya but my opinion

(people in groups arnt in order)

    1-3 Barry, Walter, J. Brown

    4 LT

5-10 Emmitt Marshall..... etc. all i care for is the top 4 really.

  • You cant put LT above Emitt Smith 21,564 total yards from scrimmage and 175 total TD. Really all this crap of ranking them is like ranking apples and oranges. Every person ranking the players has there own biase. A biased free ranking is going by there rushing yards, and NO one ran for more yards than Emmitt. Smith was 5-9 210 pounds and ran a 4.6-4.7 forty. No running back did more with less.Watch ES play a game with a dislocated shoulder, enuff said!

  • go look at year-year matchups and LT wins. who gives a fuck that he was slower....thats him, thats not lt's fault, if anything ud say lt is better because hes faster, u cant say lt is worse because emmit is slower...wtf.

no one ran for more yards than emit because he played for fucking 15 seasons. Barry coulda got that in his 12 or 13th. Lt is already ahead of emmitt where he is right now in his career in yards, rush tds, receiving tds, and overall tds.

  • @faresrouabah

Emmitt got the record in his 13th seasons dummy

  • He did basically play with a nfl all star team too

  • Yea like every position for Dallas at that time was star studded. Even their lowest tier WR was great.

  • Emmit has the most yards but how many seasons did he play? Barry has better yards per carry and yards per year if you want to go by the numbers! enuff said oh and by the way barry was even smaller than emmitt and at least emmitt had an o-line to run behind.

  • lol Emmit Smith? LOL, shouldn't even be in the top ten, only reason he had so many yards was because of his offensive line. I know Barry always at least could get that one yard for a 1st, emmit never could by himself

  • i know right barry could have like 100,000 yards if he had the Dallas O line

  • @mongration

    YOU are an idiot...

Barry LOST more yards than ANYONE in the history of the league and Emmitt had WAY more 1st downs in his 10 seasons than Barry had in his 10. Emmitt produced WITHOUT that line too dumbass!

  • @dawhiteguy622 In my eyes you pull up stats that arent relevant and never look at the whole scheme of things and hide behind the internet and talk shit. It's called being a pussy. I've never said anything bad about Emmit when others do. Beside the fact, NFL films put both RB's Barry and Emmit as one of the top backs so really your arguements are irrelevant. B/c your opinions arent worth a penny.

  • @BF1

lol..yeah I thought that's what your bitch ass would say....can't come up with a logical arguement huh? ROFLMAO...you're pathetic dude. "that isn't relevant" Um...well I said he is a choke artist...then I prove it to you with stats....then you say it isn't relevant bc your know you are caught....what a pussy you are boy!

  • @dawhiteguy622 Yea you come up with the same 3 stats that sal comes up with and read some bullshit from his book. And those stats are pretty shit IMO. And anything that Emmit says nulls and bullshit you come up with. And I'm a pussy? and cant come up with stats. You're stats ARE IRRELEVANT. Prove it with stats lol both football players Smith and Sanders have more talent in their toe nail than your tiny 2 inch penis...how's that for stats?

  • @BF1

Again...the only reason you hate on stats is bc you know they are against YOUR argument...and AGAIN the only thing you can do is throw out some middle-school response about penis's and whatever else you think about. How the fuck are touchdowns, first downs, and win loss % without the player in question irrelevant? Maybe you should try to understand football and not rely on being a fucking faggot on the internet. Learn something about the sport THEN get back at me when you can argue!

  • @dawhiteguy622 A 3rd leading rusher in the NFL is not a sucky. And Jim Brown in an interview and Emmit all agreed that Barry is the best. And regardless of what stats you pull it really means nothing because it's opinion anyways. I could say the same that Emmitt was pretty non productive on a weak offensive line AZ cardinals only having 3.5 yards per carry and 65 yards a game and less than that his second year at AZ. Pretty normal IMO.

  • @BF1 Jim Brown highest ypc

  • @Roachross2 Yea Jim was a beast of a back too.

  • @BF1 Word, u right opinion on a player in nfl more so than any other sport

  • @BF1 i couldnt agree more emmit had an amazing offensive line dont get me wrong he was a good back with great feet under him but he aint much without that offensive line in front of him. barry on the other hand didnt have much of a line at all and he still put up amazing numbers. but in my opinion no one can compare to walter payton that man was a horse. he never gave up. he didnt have half the talent of barry or emmit but his sheer desire to play and his hard work maid him # 1 back of alltime

  • @BF1 Dude. Don't even bother with daDUMBguy622. This motherfucker goes on EVERY SINGLE Barry clip and spouts his BULLSHIT. When you prove him wrong, he blocks you or reverts to the same recycled garbage argument like Emmitt has rings and his 1-6 and 4-3 BS made up stat. Or he will just plain insult you. He's jealous that EVERYONE knows Barry is better, so he has to argue for his buddy Emmitt Smith. Majority of NFL community all agree that Barry is better. EVERYONE KNOWS THIS except DADUMBGUY!

  • @dawhiteguy622 WOW! look at you troll. You truly are amazing. Are you going on EVERY Barry Sanders clip now and spouting your BULLSHIT!? Once again, NO ONE AGREES WITH YOU! EVERYONE knows Barry Sanders is better than E.S. BTW, who you calling a "fucking faggot" YOU ARE ON EVERY BARRY SANDERS CLIP!!! You truly are pathetic.

  • @dawhiteguy622 what do you sit in your chair and look at every single stat and game mark of Barry's so you can say how bad he was? Seriously, you're saying he choked and he only played good against shitty teams? Is that your honest opinion?

  • more with less??? emmitt's ass had his entire career handed to him on a silver platter the cowboys had the nfc pro bowl team on their roster emmitt rarely got touched until 5 yards after the handoff, look at what he did when he went to the cardinals and he didn't have all that room to run, he was garbage, i would've loved to see emmitt play for the lions when barry was there, he would retired faster than ryan leaf.

  • @brettline07 BECAUSE HE WAS 34 FUCKING YEARS OLD YOU IDIOT!.....YOU CANT BE SERIOUS!

  • short ass video

  • shake n bake

  • gay

  • the only reason the lions made it so far was because of only barry sanders long live 0-16

  • He did have 2 probowl receivers on the same lions teams, that keept teams from haveing 9 men in the box. He even had a "few" probowl lineman block for him, No "one" man can carry a team to the playoffs. there is no doubt he is one of the greatest to play the game, but people overate him. How many Super Bowls did he win?

  • How many super bowls have the lions ever won? Like you just said, no one man can carry a team, so you sound like a hypocrite when you say "how many Super Bowls did he win?" And he had some pro bowl lineman for a couple of years, and had garbage for the rest of the time. Seriously, if anything, he's totally underrated. Look how much the Lions have always sucked - ALWAYS. The only reason they were even competing in the 90's was because of Barry. Nobody'll ever be able to do what he could do.

  • yeah... there's no way you can call him overrated if you have seen his running style; every yard he created was his own doing, and i'm just happy i was alive to see him run... being a browns fan i hear a lot about jim brown, and he was incredible in his time but as far as i'm concerned there can never be another barry

  • I agree look at where the lions are WITHOUT Barry (0-16 cough breaking a record low). And look at where they were then with Barry. Enough said.

  • @BF1 Actually when Barry was playing the Lions went 4-3 WITHOUT him in the lineup....while the Cowboys went 1-6 without Emmitt!

  • @BF1

    Thats a 10 year difference...youre a MORON!

  • herman moore and mel brooks were the only two descent receivers he ever played with, but he never played with at descent QB. look at his old tapes. a lot of the time he was running against 9 and sometimes even 10 men in the box in one receiver sets. no one man cannot take a team to the superbowl but if there ever was one Barry is him!! He is the GOAT!

  • mel brooks? From Blazing Saddles? Mel gray maybe? The return specialist? I think you mean Herman Moore, Johnny Morton and Brett Perriman.

  • lol. yeah mel gray. its been a long time.

  • @dmille46

dude...the lions ran from spread and singleback two te's....barry hardly ever even saw 7 in the box....he ran mostly vs nickle and dime defenses!

  • @dawhiteguy622 O-line in spread isn't built to run regardless of the box. But no they weren't just in nickle and dime. That's complete bullshit.

4-3 and without Barry? Huh last time I checked since Barry left they are lucky to win 1 game. Keep in mind even 2 years ago they were blanked the entire season. GTFO The dallas line was built to run play action.

  • @BF1 Im talking about WHEN Barry was playing...and was on the sideline for whatever reason, they were 4-3 without him...WHO THE FUCK CARES what the Lions have done since Barry? That has nothing to do with this argument. That's like saying Dallas hasn't won a superbowl since Emmitt was there....so fucking what!

  • @BF1

What does the 2008 Lions have to do with the Lions from 1989-1998? NOTHING....its a completely different team with NO ONE from 98!

  • @dawhiteguy622 Bullshit. After Barry left they havent even been near the playoffs at any given time. And to illustrate how dumb you are, let's take the Vikings spread offense with Favre. Since they changed everything to a pass blocking team Adrian Petterson cant get the same yards he normally does, as is with LT who used to play with SD, Cardinals dont run well, Green Bay, and neither do the Colts. So it takes more skills to run out of the spread in NFL than college.

  • @BF1

Dude...are you fucking retarded? WHEN BARRY WAS IN DETROIT...from 89-98...the LIONS went 4-3 when he didn't play! They made the playoffs in 5 of his 10 seasons!

AP doesn't get his normal yards because he sucks, end of story....leads teh league in fumbles. The other teams you mention don't have a premier RB dumbfuck!

  • @dawhiteguy622 LoL none of your comments have any validity. And AP doesnt suck. IMO I think Emmit is a very good football player, but unlike you I dont read into specific stats because then you could say Payton sucks b/c he chokes in the playoffs and big games, Brady sucks because he didnt produce last year, and Dan Marino sucks bc never won a SB. Yea if you look at it that way..they all suck.

  • @BF1

    LOL.."dont make sense???"

THEY ARE STATS YOU MORON! Im not talking ONE playoff game or ONE season...IM TALKING HIS CAREER!

  • @dawhiteguy622 Just to end this because it's useless to talk to someone who doesnt know shit about football, on NFL films when Emmitt was being interviewed they asked who he thought the best back ever was, he said Barry. I still have the interview taped. Guess that fucks up your theories and bullshit doesnt it.

What Rb would EVER say that they think they are the best? barry LOST more yards than ANYONE in the history of the NFL....AND he completely folded in the playoffs....the guy was a choke artist...end of story!

  • @dawhiteguy622 Heh and out of all the running backs Emmit had a choice from outside of himself and he chooses a choke artist?? He didnt pick Jim Brown, Walter Payton, or any other running back but he chooses a so called choke artist as his favorite and in his book the best back.......Yep I see your logic. You're a fucking retard. End of story. Funny you had no real comment or come back. Why because everything you are say is bullshit.

  • @BF1

Dude....look at Barry's playoff stats.....In 94 he averaged 5.7 per carry for the season....then when he got to the playoffs in the first round he had 13 carries for -1 yard and 3 rec for 4 yards....so he touched the ball 16 times and gained ONLY 3 YARDS! IS THAT CHOKING? He scored ONE TD in 6 playoff games and that came in the final minutes of the fourth quarter with Detroit already leading 31-6.

  • Dude...look at Barry's playoff stats...he average 4.2 yards per carry. How is that choking? Emmit averaged 4.5 yards per carry higher than Barry and ran behind possibly the greatest o-line in history and played four times as many games LMAO. Only reason he didnt score more TDs is because 1) he didnt have as many carries and 2) they dont use Barry around the goal line for fear of injury. Not his fault. His goal line stats are GREAT. I can review those for you as well if you'd like.

  • *Emmit averaged 4.5 yards per carry, .3 yards/carry higher than Barry

  • @splendid1000 in emmits carrer he averaged 4.2 yards per carry .8 less than barry

  • @splendid1000 in emmits carrer he averaged 4.2 yards per carry .8 less than barry

  • @bmtill47

we were talking about their playoff averages

  • @splendid1000 What a retard....

  • Comment removed

  • Oh and just about any mediocre back could score from the goal line running behind Dallas' o-line

  • @BF1

In four career outdoor postseason games, Sanders averaged JUST 2.8 yards per carry. He never scored a touchdown. And he never ran for more than 65 yards in a single game.

So...since I'm a fucking retard why don't you explain how that is not choking? Sanders performed against shitty teams in his climate controlled superdome with artificial turf where you could stop on a dime.....anytime he played a good team in the playoffs he FOLDED like oragami....Emmitt's average went UP!

  • @dawhiteguy622

I can name dozens of games on grass where Barry had big rushing numbers.

Every RB has better stats at home than on the road, regardless of turf or grass....any moron knows this.

And its not like barry was the only one running on the turf.... the defense had the same advantages on turf as he did, yet somehow he still ran all over him.

  • Only an an idiot would compare playoff stats between one player with 5 playoff games, and one player with 17 games LOL!!! Not to mention the obvious fact that the team with 17 appearances is obviously much better, making it ten times easier to rush for.

  • But even so, Barry still managed a 4.2 yard average WHICH IS GOOD, especially on a mediocre team against the best defenses in the league that are all keying you. Its not Barry's fault he didnt get more carries, his average was fine so there was no reason not to use him more. Fontes just thought he would be tricky and pass the ball a lot during the playoffs. An idea which failed miserably.

  • Kind of funny how, with the exception of barry's ONE bad game, the more carries he has the closer the games were. The games with where he had fewer carries the Lions got blown out! AHAHAHAH

  • keep reading retarded articles by your butt buddy Sal Paolantonio noob

I know the big picture, not just a few biased stats that dipshit throws out.

Barry had fewer yards and tds because he had fewer carries...its that simple

Doesnt take a rocket scientist to understand that

  • @splendid1000 not to mention no offensive line. Or legitimate throwing game. Everyone on other team knew barry was getting the ball and no one could block for him.

  • @superhuther

    Exactly...
