  • okay, im not a drummer, im a bassist but i play around with drums, and are u using grace notes on the snare? am i correct?

  • Hello there good sir! May I ask you a few questions if you have the time. What would you recommend for a beginning drummer? I just had my cymbals "borrowed for a while" and now they're gone. so I don't quite know what to do without cymbals, any ideas as to what I could do for practice?

  • @Blubber120 Well, I suggest you to practice hand technique. If you don't have a practice pad you can do it with the snare drum. You can start with single strokes, single stroke rolls and double stroke rolls in different tempos. Be sure you have a correct grip to the sticks and a right way to hit the snare. Here are many good videos on youtube where you can see those techniques and things. And of course get new cymbals somewhere that you can play beats and stuff like that ;)

  • wow drums sound ok but cymbals and hi-hats are amazing, what are you using?

  • the kit looks so unprofessional

  • @emmanuelniiayihammon I think your comment looks unprofessional.

  • @Joronjalka nice groove mate

  • dude man what gig was this? wow...um.

  • Lack of soul? Are kidding me?! This guy can really play! Nice work man! Top quality!

  • I hate the sound of toms outside, the snare is great lol. But good playing dude!

  • I love the sound of an un-enhanced drumkit outdoors.

  • why outside? ppl will get annoyed

  • i don't know why you got some weird looks?

  • I need some lesbians and a neighborhood of cooperative neighbors to release my next drum video, oh and good job on the rim hits.....adds to the lack of technique your displaying.

  • I really need to know what you recorded this with.Mmake model, whatever you can remember or find out.

  • @sticksofury This was recorded with a basic camera, no additional mics, no editing, no mixing.

  • Good playing for a youg kid, neds to get more soul into it

  • you suk

  • buuuh

  • I'm digging your crashes.

  • lol @ people walking by

  • nice

  • nice precision !!! awesome playing - cheers from Poland

  • is there a reason a ur playin outside?

  • excelente sontio el de la TAMAA uff

  • very nice set but but I do believe neighbors???!!

  • great man good job

  • you guys should just go dw. its a better drum set if you want to play a quality kit. and you know that.

  • the only thing i head was 'click click click'...more clean pls

  • why dop you have to play outside? your a bit of a twat tbh.

  • @mopedman1 go fuck yourself!! i play drums and its amazing if you play them outside. its a good vid so dont be a douchebag and get the hell over it.

  • @frankyyfrank ok i will go 'and fuck myself'. Actually ill go fuck your mum. She loves it. Playing outside is completely unnecassary, its basically saying, look world i play the drums! except in play them badly. And what am i getting over?

  • @mopedman1 ok good. thank you for your considderation

  • because, notwithstanding a studio setup, they sound better outside. Especially if you are trying to video without a professional grade camera.

  • i don't get the point of putting your drum kit outside except for showing off but its just a stupid idea

  • i love your style!

    great, you are blessed!

  • yeaaa

  • hähä-geil!

  • NICE BASS DRUM ♥♥♥

  • nice ghost notes man

  • I cant believe how good they sound out side. Mapex just are.

  • @selbaforce These are Tama Superstars.

  • @Joronjalka PWND lol

  • @Joronjalka they look just like my gretch Catalinas

  • @selbaforce owned

  • @selbaforce Mapex don't use high tension lugs....

  • @selbaforce you must feel like a right twat .

  • @selbaforce FAIL

  • @selbaforce you sir got OWNED!!!

  • @selbaforce lol fail

  • @selbaforce fail

  • @selbaforce Ha ha noob

  • yea it sounds sick outside thats wat drums are meant to sound like

  • Nicely done.

  • Awesome beat.... trying to learn it myself. Drums sound nice outside.

  • Funky!

  • Good shit mate.I like your creativity on the drums.

  • good work

want to drum outside, too- i think that rox .D

  • oj vitto va cooooooooool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like Mapex. Very well built drums.

  • those are tama superstars lol >.>

  • Hyvin vedät!

  • hahah some bonham in there (the groove after the first solo reminded me of the crunge and parts of moby dick)

  • no resonance heads, how does that work for you?

  • probably just cuz hes outside...

  • I do have resonance heads.

  • They're called resonant heads.

  • yes finally the kind of beats i was looking for. good job

  • Your neighbors must love you.

  • Very nice dude! sounds very good.

  • nice snares and bass drum, not a fan of those toms....

  • if i tryed playing my drums in neighborhood well first i live in phoenix it was 105 today in late october and my neighbors are all old people

  • if you just giv me your drumset then it will be fine...

i got a lots of symbals in here... i could set it up.

  • are you sure u want a tama superstar? xD rofl

  • Those Superstars have worked well, but I'm still going to buy Starclassics some day.

  • yeah, starclassics win. i bought a kit from the bubinga/birch series a few months back and don't regret it. for a $1600 kit its quality and doesnt sound much different to the all bubinga (omni tune) shells which are like $3500 per kit. even with thin shells the kit has a great tone with lots of resonance. highly recommend trying them out xD

oh and great drumming BTW, i think ill subscribe :)

  • @Joronjalka I've got some tama starclassic performer in the same colour as you superstar and it sounds absolutely amazing.. and i've got a tama artwood snare

  • i think its quite good :P

  • Nice drumming man :) Can you tell me what you're doing around 0:10 and 0:19, the fast snare roll with crashes throughout. Is that just singles or are you playing a sticking pattern? It sounds like triplets but I'm not sure.

  • Thanks. You know this vid is so old that I can't remember how I did that snare roll :D But I think it could be like a single stroke roll with one hand or something.

  • at :13-:16 hes doing a seven stroke roll starting on the "e" of the 1st group of 16th notes. should be like

    1 e & ah 2 e & ah

K/C LL RR LL K/C LL RR LL

k/c = is right kick right handed crash

ll and rr are double strokes. Does that make sense? then he just kind of improvves. the intro to the whole cymbal thing above is just a few groups of sixteenth notes with single sticked 32nd in there and then rips into the notation above.

  • I just hot owned.

I had about 170 bucks in a wallet I never use, I open it today an I only have 20 left.. And I didn't spend shit.

  • im diggin the sound of that bassdrum

  • ha hah man did the neighboors get mad? good stuff!! fuck these haters you have on here. people always trying to find bad things to criticize. i thought it kick ass!!!

  • No they didn't get mad. Actually there was a few of them watching me playing :P

  • lol i took my whole band into my garden the neigh boughs got majorly pissed

  • good playing but there is a noticeable lack of soul.

  • what did ya expect? he's a white teen not grew up with soul music?! he's real good though...

  • @BluntedBeyondBelief more like.. lack of talent!

  • @BluntedBeyondBelief how can u tell he lacks soul... you can't see his face that well. or how he is actually feeling. how is this a high rated comment?

  • @smeaglerG

you just dont know music, dude:P

  • @BluntedBeyondBelief

    So what you're saying is...

    he has no soul?

  • @yoimosan must be a ginger :p

  • @yoimosan HAHAHAHAH

  • @yoimosan just like a ginger..

  • and why on the lawn? Freaken show off.

  • I was taking pics of my drums and wanted to play a little.

  • its fun to play in different environments like one time i played on my roof you should try it

  • Uh have you ever played drums outside? It is extremely fun and my favorite place to play. Wish I could do that all the time.

  • flashy but no groove

  • Good Solo, but still not funky

  • its good, but its like you jam packed too many notes in there

it's good, but it's more show offy than funky

  • show off

  • hyvä tekniikka

  • Melko surkea tekniikka kyllä itseasiassa. Nykyään onneksi parempi.

  • aika hyvä muuten!

  • Kiitos!

  • stop trying to showoff for the girls behind u because i dont think they were that satisfied and neither am i

  • agree, i play outside some time, and its fun

  • playing outside gives you really good sound quality.

  • i think u rock and ur techniques r pretty nice 2 but still... i dont think its a good idea 2 play outside ^^

  • u suck, dont play outside

  • he's good. but yeah don't play outside

  • well nice kit n quality playin!

  • Thanks! It's my apartment's courtyard.

  • ye, this beat is pretty cool... but u should tune your toms :D

  • Toms are in tune right now :).

  • pretty fly for a white guy!!;)

  • i ahve to ask, why are you playing outside?

  • I was taking pictures of my drums and wanted to play a little :P.

  • nice bass & snare. but 3 toms needs some tuning man.

    other than that,good job

  • This should be rated higher. It's badass!

  • Haha, yeah!

  • Waah, great funk beats, love it!

  • Thanks!

  • haha look at the people run away

  • Haha they're not running away ;).

  • there running away cuz his beats are beast and there afraid of his godly beats o.o

  • They will get impregnated by his funky beats.

  • Very solid drumming! Keep up the funk drumming!

  • Thank you!

  • your drums would sound a ton better if they had resonating heads good drumming though
