Hello there good sir! May I ask you a few questions if you have the time. What would you recommend for a beginning drummer? I just had my cymbals "borrowed for a while" and now they're gone. so I don't quite know what to do without cymbals, any ideas as to what I could do for practice?
@Blubber120 Well, I suggest you to practice hand technique. If you don't have a practice pad you can do it with the snare drum. You can start with single strokes, single stroke rolls and double stroke rolls in different tempos. Be sure you have a correct grip to the sticks and a right way to hit the snare. Here are many good videos on youtube where you can see those techniques and things. And of course get new cymbals somewhere that you can play beats and stuff like that ;)
I need some lesbians and a neighborhood of cooperative neighbors to release my next drum video, oh and good job on the rim hits.....adds to the lack of technique your displaying.
@frankyyfrank ok i will go 'and fuck myself'. Actually ill go fuck your mum. She loves it. Playing outside is completely unnecassary, its basically saying, look world i play the drums! except in play them badly. And what am i getting over?
yeah, starclassics win. i bought a kit from the bubinga/birch series a few months back and don't regret it. for a $1600 kit its quality and doesnt sound much different to the all bubinga (omni tune) shells which are like $3500 per kit. even with thin shells the kit has a great tone with lots of resonance. highly recommend trying them out xD
oh and great drumming BTW, i think ill subscribe :)
@Joronjalka I've got some tama starclassic performer in the same colour as you superstar and it sounds absolutely amazing.. and i've got a tama artwood snare
Nice drumming man :) Can you tell me what you're doing around 0:10 and 0:19, the fast snare roll with crashes throughout. Is that just singles or are you playing a sticking pattern? It sounds like triplets but I'm not sure.
Thanks. You know this vid is so old that I can't remember how I did that snare roll :D But I think it could be like a single stroke roll with one hand or something.
at :13-:16 hes doing a seven stroke roll starting on the "e" of the 1st group of 16th notes. should be like
1 e & ah 2 e & ah
K/C LL RR LL K/C LL RR LL
k/c = is right kick right handed crash
ll and rr are double strokes. Does that make sense? then he just kind of improvves. the intro to the whole cymbal thing above is just a few groups of sixteenth notes with single sticked 32nd in there and then rips into the notation above.
ha hah man did the neighboors get mad? good stuff!! fuck these haters you have on here. people always trying to find bad things to criticize. i thought it kick ass!!!
@BluntedBeyondBelief how can u tell he lacks soul... you can't see his face that well. or how he is actually feeling. how is this a high rated comment?
yea why is every1 saying he shudnt play outside ....its sound great that snare sounds way better outside than in a small room...let him do hes thing outside if he wants its wot he likes lol buddy do u wot u do best ROCK n ROLL dude \m/\m/
okay, im not a drummer, im a bassist but i play around with drums, and are u using grace notes on the snare? am i correct?
