  • If only it was.

  • seeing this, although i know they are just actors, but thinking of what some monsters do to children... it just makes me tremble and feel really angry. i HATE people like that, they are psycho monsters, they have no soul.

i just can't say a better thing right now, i can only tremble, its revolting.

  • This made me throw up. If anyone is going through abuse or has ever use your voice now! Google: Somatic Experiencing

  • I guess the point of this ad is to show awareness of the fact that there really are monsters like this dad out there. It made me sick to my stomach, but I'm assuming that that was the point. If I were Tom and I'm hearing that speech I'm knocking the dad out cold the second he mentions "it was certainly good enough for me, if you know what I mean"

  • Don't wast your time reporting your own child abuse as an adult. Because the cops get off on it!!!

  • this was not offensive at all and kinda funny in a creepy way.

  • i think of how many men who are falsely accused of this horrible crime, and this disgusts me to no end!!!

  • wow

  • Wow.... that's kinda of messed up. You mean to tell me they couldn't have picked another way of going about it?

  • a commercial obviously made by evil satanists

  • At first it was horrible but I think it proves the point well.

  • It's very good that they made a commercial like this, will it also help people?

  • It's pointless reporting child abuse the NSW police don't do a dam thing but to get off on the victim's suffering .

  • Wow. Austrailian child abuse commercials. Never seen one before. Used to see a number of them in American. Haven't seen one for months. Probabuly because I spend so much time watching politics.

  • thats scary

  • Dont forget we need to stop these Aussies from raping their daughters!! This is worse than the Baby-eating Dingo incident we had back in 96'

You aussies need to remember every single second that raping your daughter / son is wrong! Every second! Make sure to let everyone know, restaurants, parties, weddings especially.. that you are AWARE.

If you forget.. shame on you, may [random god] have mercy on you.

  • pretty sure the dad is brittish, not aussie. Most likely an ex pat, possibly sent over here by the poms for sexually based offences, they do like to send their convicts over here. Apart from that tho i do agree that we should all, as citizens of earth, be making a concerted effort to not rape children, ours or anybody's. Even adult rapings should be avoided.

  • he's definitely not british, that's an aussie accent

  • no definitely brittish. There's very faint hintings of australian coming in there at parts, but like i said probably an ex pat convict.

  • hey i know what a british accent sounds like, being british myself, and that is definitely not one. its aussie

  • @doobidoo123 Ultimately, who really cares, that was hardly the main point of my original post, youtube arguement guy. but still, "as an Australian" that is definitely a brittish accent. Lighten up and quit raping your daughter, bloody pom.

  • @brianspides ...yeah i'm a girl mate

  • @doobidoo123 Again. Lighten up. It's just the internet. Sheesh.

  • @brianspides and i don't have kids, i'm a teenager

  • This commercial wont make people "aware" in a helpful way.. it will make them aware in a "that was funny" way.. or to those who were molested "...i hate you dad". What commercial in history would ever make todays population stand up and be "aware"? NONE

Doesnt take a commercial for you to remember child rape is bad does it?

If the daughter was willing however... who are we to judge? Incest breeding is wrong in a genetic way ofcourse but if it wasnt for society / laws, everyone would do it.

  • You have a conflict of interests in your comment. You condem but then you accept. Straighten out a little, child.

And the ad is supposed to shock and disgust people. Only disturbed individuals would find it funny.

  • prydal-you are fucked in the head. Just what sort of upbringing have you had?

Everyone would not be doing it. My son is the father of a 6 yrs old girl and has said on several occasions that if anyone dared to harm her the perpetrator's body would never be found encased in c oncrete flown over a great lake and dropped into the centre of said lake . This is the normal anger of a good dad.

  • am in the advertising and marketing business, this commercial has used a sarcasitic way of sending the message to the audience. its often used on major issues!! but i do see this AD disturbing, why? because i honestly believe that its sick to make fun of such a problem. Would they ever do a FUNNY breast cancer AD? NO

its not the right way and it shouldnt be used like this, not when it comes to child abuse!

  • i think it does a great job IMO. No need to dwell on such negative events for that will make things get worse.

No this doesn't explain how to fix the chakras from healing, but it at least isnt fear mongering which is not cool to use fear as a motivating factor. This video was made out of LOVE and that is a much better motivating factor.

  • Yes but dont you think Some of the people who are mentally insane to actually abuse thier kids might actually NOT GET THE POINT?

its not just Love.. its Protection, safety and justice!!

some parents love thier kids so much to a point they wanna share everything with.. thats sick..

i dont know i just feel that sarcasitic messages isnt the proper way here..

  • I am a survivor of child sexual abuse & this doesn't offend me. It can take a lifetime to overcome the effects of abuse. Why not visit ASCA website and offer suggestions for helping. I am now a counsellor in this field.

  • its reality!!U think evey peson who does this to kids is sorry about it??

  • that add is sick.. its only making fun of children who have had to suffer threw so much pain already.. it is disgusting

  • i don't know why everyone commenting on this video is making such a big deal about it. it's not offensive at all, and you don't have to suffer through child abuse to say that. it's all for shock value because people today still don't understand what these victims go through. i think this commercial will wake up the world and make people think more.

  • it's sick on purpose - to make people aware.

  • @eloweewee13 No, it's supposed to be sick to show you this isn't a joke and it isn't an easy thing to talk about it and get over it. I had a friend who was abbused as a child, he didn't easily talk about it and i could tell it still hurt. IF YOU SUSPECT ABUSE REPORT IT RIGHT AWAY! WAITING SHOULDN'T BE AN OPTION!

  • Oh dear, I pissed off a couple of communists.

    What do I care?

  • like they said in the gruen transfer

if this was about murder, would it still be funny because child abuse is murder, but your body is still alive.

if victims have this response to this ad, do you really think its fucking helping?

    it makes me feel sick

  • yeah, I just watched the gruen transfer too, i commented on the other video posted on youtube...i agree with rubysaurus, it's not effective.

while the ad certainly brings to mind the sick reality of child abuse, it fails to do anything more than that...given the gravity of the issue, I'd be inclined to think we need ads that promote action against this shit, not just awareness.

  • then it's doing it's job perfectly - it's a shock commercial, meant to do exactly as you described. It's there to raise awareness of people who have not been in those positions before, and for most, they will find it rather disturbing.

  • not funny to make fun of such a problem.... its sad...... nevermind am angry at those sick people!

  • You've clearly missed the point then.

  • Wow, what a bullshit commercial. Oh well. I'm just glad I don't live in the Dictatorship of Australia.

  • You call Australia a dictatorship and you live in the USA. We laws such as the patriot act. US have more laws and regulations than Australia will ever have.

  • Yeah, you're absolutely right, Australia IS a dictatorship in every way, shape and form, with its "law immune" leadership, justification of such leadership by exploiting the threat of terrorism, and history of oppressive violence toward minorities...pffft we're about as much of a dictatorship as any other country on the planet.

Except America. They've done everything the right way, from maintaining economic stability to educating fine people such as yourself.

    Stay on the topic MATE.

  • Therefore ads like these must exist, not to offend the victims, but to slam the TRUTH into the face of the ignorant public that still wants to turn a blind eye.... Forced fed truth is the only way to stop these abhorrent acts that are committed by human beings, and ignored by the same species.

  • Everyone here has a valid opinion, and i can whole heartedly realize any personal offence that this ad can cause. But the issue, sadly is... when a message is too real people, they can't deal with it unless they have become a victim of the same circumstances.

  • fuck me this is a funny add

  • Wtf..

  • A Warning,To those who have sufferd child abuse.Don't go to the N.S.W police. Keep away from the Customs Assistance Unit, Internal Affears, known as the CAU. I got raped repeatedly by a cop that worked there. The NSW police don't give a dam about victims of child abuse or victims of rape, When it's a cop who is the rapest.

  • I hate it, when pepple know that you have sufferd child abuse and they say.....But that happond a long time ago.

  • Yeah, it's lifelong. I think I've done well in moving on from what happened to me, but even at 31 I still have many physical, psych and emotional issues arising from my abuse (at age 11-12) that I have to work around - whether in employment, in education or even just socialising or in relationships. Even though my *rational* mind knows, and I've proven many times over to myself, that I'm worth something, my gut feeling is always otherwise, no matter how much counselling or +ve thinking one does.

  • dude thats fuck't up!

  • i agree QueryCurio,

im going through exactly the same thing, person who abused me was my Dad and he normalises the behavioour tries to make it like its just somethin i gotta get over even when he ogles and cops a feel etc...this ad made me think about my situation, since i still am affected by it, strangely im not offended at all but i cant say that for other people whove been sexually abused. i dont see how it helps anyone tho.

  • Very disgusting commercial. Coming from someone who was abused as a child, I don't see how this is supposed to make people feel better/compelled to help.

  • this was on channel ten during law and order svu last week during an episode involving peodophilia. havent seen the add since. im tippin channel ten had a few complaints

  • 哈哈黄河哈

  • I believe that this video is in very poor taste. Anyone who was ever abused as a child would be offended. The abuse is treated in a flippant, callous manner that I do not appreciate. I do not feel that it proves a point, but rather makes an attempt to accept such filth as the norm.

  • Hi Carrie,

actually I think this clip is creepily appropriate ... the man that used to abuse me and still attempts to get a feel and still oggles ... still does the same thing .. he tries to normalise the behaviour right in front of my mother ... he's my father .... and when i was a little girl i didn't know any different ... that fathers didn't tongue kiss or fondle you ... i grew up with that, he'd have us on his lap reading the newspaper and thats how it was ... uppermidclass abuse

  • Oh, I wouldn't say that. My own Mother expects me to act the same exact way about MY abuse. It is completely ridiculous when shown in this light...maybe it's just the kick in the teeth that the "outsiders" need to realize that abuse survivors cannot and should not be this flippant about what they went through.

  • Opps....meaning that I disagree with Carrie, and agreee completely with QueryCurio.

  • keep it real

  • A great approach to a scary subject.
