Be careful with that word "amazing." This video shows nothing amazing, just everyday work by what was an everyday working tractor. As a youngster in the U.S. in the 60s our old wheel tractor, a 1920's Farmall "Regular" was much older than this crawler, and in fact the day we sold in after 2000, it was DRIVEN onto the trailer of the buyer.
fuck if i had a dozer for that i have more wood then that stacked up on that bitch then be skiding logs off the trail lol may its just me but i wouldn't be comeing out one handed lol
We currently try to restore a TD18 international. If anyone got information to fix the engine which is lock and for the transmission, the clutch is completely stuck.
thats a beautiful old machine. the first cat i ever ran was a td-9. two of my close friends logged with them back in the late 40's and 50's. thanks for posting this video
This TD9 is running since 5 years. We had change the engine by the same but in an industrial version. The last engine froze, the main disease for the old engine. We had just change the engine support on the front. There isn't any problem to start up.
I repared this tractor with my father, We will beging to restor an other one in a few time, a TD18 but at this time the engine is jam. We have 2 TD18, 2 others TD9 and a Cat D2, but only one is running this one.
Thought you said skidding? Your "skid" has wheels.

Yeah cool vid. But it sure wasn't a river and he wasn't skidding wood. He was towing a trailer with firewood on it.
But nice little toy none the less. :-)
