That is really cool you have given me some great ideas you covered everything a person would need. I drive a 2007 Toyota Tacoma that I need to work on. Great video!
that is an awesome setup! but how did you do it lol? do you have any videos of some of the basic things youve done, like are your side cabinates screwed in somehow or what? how did you build a sturdy bed frame that can move on hinges and be comftorble? how did you get the padding done? and how did you do the side curtains? I feel like an idiot asking all of this, but i am good at building stuff and everything, but im thinking of doing this to a suburban and dont want to drill into it if possible
Awesome! There is a thread just started on prepperlog com about BOV and some questions about how to do this. Stop by if you want to share your ideas and video!
To go little more stealth off road, get yourself a large camo tarp, or a used Army surplus camo parashoot, you can easily throw over your whole vehicle, cut a few branches and hide well. You can attach a camo tarp off the back of your camper for an awning to protect you from the sun.. set up a lawn chair or hammock and you are all set in your mini camp.. All the little mini comforts will payoff big and reduce stress.
great vehicle, i loved what u did to it so much im going to get one. i have a new expedition. and is very nice, but if i have to bug out with the gas mileage i get im only going to make it to the end of my street. im going to get me one like yours, and have it ready in my garage just in case. plus i can use it to fish on the weekends.
Sweet setup man! Good Video! Just an idea (might take a while but at least you'd know exactly what you have)... go through the gear of what you actually have in there.. that would be great! Thanks for sharing buddy!
Nice bov. If I wouldn't get a diesel, I'd get this, or a chevy r ford gasser. And like the guy below said, do you have some sort of drawer below the bed area, if so Id stock it full of gas cans
@averagejoetactical1 hek out my other video's I updated it to a bitchin littlr light weight camper with more head room, turned out nice and roomy and works great !
@FelixDossland Thanks ! You should see her now.Since this video I built a cold weather camper and lifted it 3'' just took it out for week and needed for nothing ! Practice makes perfect. Good luck.
Hell yeah, finally someone with a great BOV! Cheap reliable and stocked full of supplies! Exactly what I'm working on with my jeep cherokee! Love this video man thanks for posting it!
nicely rigged rig... in Western Washington all the fire roads / DNR roads and all dirt roads that access remote areas have been gated and closed for motorized use. countless fishing, hiking, mountain biking and camping areas are now basically gone forever. my truck has basically been sitting for the last 10 years, but i keep it ready for anything, change the gas and oil once a year, keep the battery up AND i got a portable plasma cutter in case i ever need to cut a gate open... just in case
@dirtTdude grew up there.Mt. adams area is still wide open and the most vast un populated mountain region around you.just fill up in Randel and carry an extra 5 gallons before you head in. :)
@NOOKTWO just getting my shit unpacked, i've moved to oregon... i went out for a drive yesterday and found a whole system of roads in under 10 min, still havnt made any friends yet. hoping to build another log cabin (bug out destanation)... seen my cabin vids?
O.k so I changed the canopy today!!!!! Was way to low a little to compact ! I will post another video of the canopy turned into a camper on yota very soon ! Alls I can say is "Ahhhh much better."
That is one beautiful setup and I can admit Envy. to have all that in such a compact vehicle... Makes my 94 F150 supercab (and even with the 84 inch bed) ...seem way too bulky for anything "bugging out".
thats a badass little yota man! i got my jeep cherokee that im gonna start loading up soon, i got a camo paint job and considering its my daily driver i tend to get alot of looks =p
Great little truck! Excellent bug out vehicle. Toyotas are very reliable and dependable trucks. Too bad it isnt a diesel, to get a good gas milage. The only thing i woud do to your truck it some spotlights and painted a dark green to blend in a florest. and...i know to a harcore survavalist like you (im just a beginner, at this point i still have no bug out bag, no 4X4 car, my is a 91 Toyota Celica GTI, and must of survavelist gear is hard to find in my country) put a DVD player inside.
@JPacheco91 You would have liked my Adventurer van! You cab view it on my channel.this one is micro and basic but very comfy LOL. I like the painting idea but this paint job is original. Thanks and take care.
Great little truck! Excellent bug out vehicle. Very reliable and dependable trucks. I will be doing a video soon with two Toyota 4x4 trucks for bugging out. Your truck has a solid front axle too! I also assume you have the 20R motor which is a great motor. Thanks for sharing. Take care.
@BugOutVehicles Bought this Yota from a 70 yr guy who bought it new.He ordered it with the 22R 410 gears and a 4spd.It's got dealer installed cruise control and delay wipers for options. It's compact and micro but I think it is the better idea so far,If you look at my van and all the camper bug out rigs I have built, this one gets me off the grid further! Thanks much
Most all the gear is covered and everything is micro or dual fuel ect. Even the micro coleman cook stove will run on unleaded gas.Solar or generated power lights ect.Heat for winter camp and a good water purifier. Any idea's? let me know.I will ad a video of the gear next time I take it camping/hunting.I like the fact that I can get this rig way into the back country(quad trails) where my old campers wont fit or go even in 4x4.
NICE, this is one of my dream truck!
