  • Yes well, the two best sold Stones studio albums are Some Girls first and Tattoo You second, and all their great hits are mainly from the 60's Brian Jones time. Now off-course you're all going to argue that sales don't count. But as long that we can't find another impersonal way to establish what is "good" we will only end up promoting what we personelly like, and believe it or not but some people swear that Boney M was the best thing. So let's just stick to the proof of Stones records sales.

  • kingcat, you're an idiot.

  • you have no clue as to what you are talkin about...Goat's Head, Stick Fingers, Exile, was the best work the stones did. Taylor by far the best lead Gutairist they had...Wood is a joke.

  • I'm with you cubwolf. I was devastated when Mick left and they replaced him with Woodie - reckon he should have stuck with his old mate Rod Stewart!!!

  • Especially after having auditioned persons such as Rory Gallagher and Jeff Beck! and god only know who else.

  • kingcat - you don't know sh*t ...ronnie wood is a garbage guitar player .. worst technique I ever saw... scuffing the strings, awful tone etc. Mick Taylor took the stones to their all-time peak. Just listen to Sticky Fingers (can't u hear me knocking, sway..) or Ya Yas (sympathy & stray cat blues) fiery slide.. wicked vibrato..snaky runs, singing melodies. He had it all. Best of all are the 72/72 bootlegs eg Brussels Affair .. monster lead guitar .. blended perfectly with Keef

  • ronnie wood is a better guitar player

  • Hyvä, Helsinki!
