Newegg actually carries a bunch of Deltas now, including 120mm fans in both 120 and 190cfm. Believe it or not, these things are GREAT even for normal computers, if you hide a Sunbeam high wattage fan controller (the the wattage of the fan and the controller, the controller should be slightly higher) at the rear of the computer.
Why? Because they can be very quiet and they LAST FOREVER. I have one from 1990 that still works. hahaha! I've built three computers with it and its outlasted them all!
Concept proven. As I understand things, Delta Electronics, Ltd., manufactures several high-speed PCM fans that will bolt to the heatsink this video, the fastest being able to blow 250+ CFM flat out.
hehe most previous generation intel CPU with stock fan did have that crazy sound. i had to modify with wind tunnel and 12cm fan to ...enjoy a quieter PC. i like the quiet PC :D
Delta fans are great you cant' kill them. I have two 80mm deltas that are about 8 years old and still running strong on my old athlon xp 2600+ build LOL.
Wanna know why these are so loud? Most of the fans Dell uses are from Delta-- which uses very high performance but loud fans that are typically used in servers--where sound is the least of their troubles. But a fan from Delta will last forever!
oh, u mean video cards, i want to upgrade anything i can before i upgrade, i am on a budget, and my psu is a 500W w/one 6pin. but if i need a new psu for it, i would spend $130 on a 650W power supply just for video cards! i saw one that was for your video cards only!. prob a $200 max for the card, and a ATI card, not nVidia (cuz my board is crossfire x2 only, not sli) and i need at least 1GB vram
that's what happened when i swapped my p4 3Ghz with a pD 3.2Ghz (dual core). the power light was oarnge and i was scared i had fucked it up, so i pull plug and swap back. it was fine. i have a dimension 8400
I see. But my orthos only loads 2 cores. I got a quad core but it seems like only the first 2 cores are being loaded while the other 2 are on idle. im using vista 32bit fyi
@ByrnesPCGarage not much i had around 80 when i forgot to add thermal paste after the guy at the pc store wiped it off when he was checking my new cpu if they were alike, they were the same but my new one was faulty
