@hawks10pec i'm glad they don't. i checked out the tabs for some of the songs from Nattens Madrigal and Bergtatt...they're so easy, they make Black Sabbath songs look as hard as "Eruption". it takes less skill to play black metal than it does regular metal, and the new era of Ulver is even more complex than regular metal, and for that, for being bold and daring and boundary-pushing, i salute them

This, sadly, sounds so much better than the album version. The guitar doesn't sound like a buzzsaw that is 10 times louder than the other instruments. The opening riff to this song has to be one of my favorite black metal riffs ever.

The Vargnatt demo was re-released on vinyl a couple of years ago. Try obtaining it as the sound quality is much better than on the old tape demos.

It's pleasant to see, and hear, what an enormous progress this band has made during the past 13 years. Seems like a lucky number! I can still remember that weird split 7" ep with Mysticum.
