  • Meatloaf rules!

  • Think this is the only footage of Davey Johnstone (Elton John's guitarist) playing with Alice?

  • i'm the drain from a urnial on a rock star's crotch!

  • Haven't seen this movie in 20 years, it is time. Great performances here by Alice Cooper

  • @GOLDEN000000 Haha, nice!!

  • Do I see Edgar Winter and Rick Derringer or am I crazy??

  • This movie is soooo low budget but so great... alice cooper and meat loaf are fantastic in this movie... lots of great names in there

  • what movie is this?

  • @smp156 the movie is Roadie, and it came out in 1980

  • great song ever! it's so awesome that sound of guitar. And great lyrics

  • ALICE COOPER!!!

  • Alice Cooper with Utopia a great combination

  • Like this flick!

  • Love this song, and Alice. Isn't that the drummer + bassist from Utopia? NEAT.

  • How does Alice look so nourished here..Wasn't this 1979?...He was skinnier than this back then..

  • @nostalgia43 Sadly Alice got back on alcohol for a long time there after the "From The Inside" album and was critically malnourished. He almost died in the hospital from just not eating anything, he was drinking constantly again. Glad he found help in his wife and family and they got him help in time! Alice is a legend!!

  • I never realized how good this song was

  • I don't think it's a change for the better, but it's still fascinating to hear the "Roadie" version of this song...the raw, staccato guitar sound distances it quite a bit from the original. Also, it's quite odd to see him perform it without the short-haired, militaristic look he modelled for the FTF cover.

Incidentally, I think the original version of Pain is a real forgotten gem in Alice's repertoire...excellent vocal, excellent melody, and one of the best lyrics he ever wrote.

  • @garethac81 I agree - This version was a departure form the original, but if you've ever seen this movie, you'd know why. The film is bizarre and maybe a C+ at best, but it does have some outstanding scenes. And I agree that 'Pain' was one of Alice Cooper's most under-rated, uncelebrated hits - Much better than 'Schools Out'

  • Wow. I had no idea that Alice was in this movie! Thanks for posting this.

  • I remember this movie! And I see Willie, Kasim and Roger from UTOPIA!!! <3

  • love it!!!!

  • 0.42 is that Meatloaf o_o...

  • @Jetmechanic001 this song was on flush the fashion but he looks way too healthy either from befor or after he is so thin and sickley looking when flush the fassion came out. it was either quite drinking or die he wrote flush the fashion in mental hospital no good rehape programs

  • Ok,what may I ask is your point? or are you replying to a 2 month old comment purely for social interaction?

  • @Jetmechanic001 flush the fashion is my favorite alice cooper record .i know a littla about it .yes i quess so,evon in the record that followed special forces he looked like death.

  • the very best top movie brings me back ##

  • great movie

  • I used to have this song, on a record player. I wish I had it now. Thanks~

  • I Love This Song!

  • i agree that he should give a call to michael bruce...

  • That's Danny Johnston the blond haired dude on guitar the original Elton John guitarist. I really liked the album Flush the Fashion when it came out, and still do. Alice went new wave for a bit and it was fun. He is so skinny here.

  • I've been looking for this movie for as loong as I've been looking for a "Dudes" release on DVD! Awesome!

  • Meatloaf? how in THE HELL! did that guy EVER get famous, His "singing" sucks, His Band sucks, his songs are stupid. HE HATES ALICE???????????????????????? An Ant looking at Man and contemplating power!

  • "Meatloaf? how in THE HELL! "

Apparently people think the opposite, which is how he got big.

  • Meatloaf and Alice are actually good buds... Alice filled in for him on a couple of festival dates in San Diego when old Meattie got sick. SO STFU.

  • hm...I see, that Meat Loaf don't like this song :DDDD

  • My fave song of his ever (besides You and Me)

  • Great Coop song!

    One of my big favourites!

  • is this film out on dvd now,,

  • Yep.

  • I just love the song! Very very good...and I have the dvd ;) But you´re right, it should be longer =)

  • nice video, it's awesome, thanks for sharing it with us

  • I like this sparse sound, this is the best song from Flush the Fashion.

  • to me it's one of his very best.
