Nice looking wheel, better than the tri spokes most peeps use. Large diameter would give smooth transition on the switch of direction and lower torque requirements. (and before any retard comments, the force required by the driver "Mad Mike" to turn the wheel)

The steering wheel used in Mad Mike's rx7 is a sparco safari l555, which has a diameter of 350mm, same as most other aftermarket steering wheels. So it would have the same "torque requirements" as any other steering wheel. I don't know why you are trying to sound so smart...
