I don't actually think they copied it, because they said that when Sharon showed the song to Robert, Robert actually told her that the song was similar to "Wicked Game" and then they checked it out and it wasn't the same so it could be released. Also, I actually asked somebody about the plagiarism and he told me that 4 consecutive bars must be IDENTICAL (I mean Chord Progression and Melody) to be considered plagiarism (see what happened with Madonna's "Frozen")
once a great band steeping this low. i instantly thought the same when i heard "faster" first time. its like "wicked" but speeded up a little bit up. hope the other songs on the album are better or its gonna be a sh*t record. and if "they noticed it too" then they should have dropped the song from the album. its liket those mock-up "cover songs" you hear on some tv shows that dont have the budget to clear the rights to the real one. and to the trained ear its VERY ANNOYING.
They actually spoke about that themselves in the video on this page: nu (dot) nl / muziek / 2453448 / verhaal-van-within-temptation (dot) html (change 'dot' in '.' and delete all spaces). What they are saying is that they have noticed it too, but that it actually has a completely different melody. The only thing that is similar, according to them, is the ambience.
It has a similar chord progression, that's about it. There are only so many chord combinations you can make in a rock song

Well, regardless, this mixup is twice the song of "Faster". What a bunch of sellouts.

Lmfao! This is what I've said since day one. The HIM-version makes it even more obvious.

First time I heard Faster I immediately started singing Wicked Game. But sounds more like the coverversion that HIM did.
