use better sound effects!!!they are horrible!!!! and its a bit unrealistic when the one with the white shirts gets shot through the chest and stands up again...
@CoolerThanYouz thanks man, actually it was all just on the camera so no lens, it was shot using a canon hfs10 which is one of the more prosumer camcorders
People like you inspire me to do better.... Even though not many people watch my short films, I just love making them, and seeing videos like this make strive to do better. Hopefully I can get some tips someday...

yeah a friend of mines uncle owns it so they let us film there, the location was good but the worst day to shoot it, was ridiculously hot that day, we were supposed to have a hazmat suit but my buddy didn't want to wear it cause of the heat. Filming a sort of similar movie at an abandoned army base this weekend, more planned out
looks like you are filming with one of those small cannon cameras that seem to blow away anything nowadays.. I love the blown out images of it, the sun really does capture that 28 days later look.. im the same way bro, I love for people to watch my films but I love more than anything just making films, we are currently in production of a feature post apocalyptic film in which we had some AMAZING location, like an old hotel building and a old factory mill. you have talent and a vision man.

Im still shooting DV with a panasonic DVX I love the camera but its time to upgrade.. yeah its The Freelands. someone has mentioned it felt alot like that game, I have never heard of it, but seems like I need to check it out.
@brettsk8 yeah some of the dv cameras still hold their own real well though, i really wanted a gl2 or xl1 before but then after watching what the hf series could do in Crank 2 it sold me. how do you go about getting into these places like the locations of the hotel and such in movies? i always try to find owners and get permission but never seem to be able to, or do you just go on and film?
wow.. never knew it was used in crank 2.. well thats one of the best things about being from a very small town, we simply asked permission and surprisingly they were all for the idea.. its great because all we have ever had when we started making films YEARS AND YEARS ago was our backyards and the woods, so we now have alittle variety to shoot from.
@brettsk8 it was just the secondary camera, but they got a bunch of shots with them, like the bullet cam rig was all the hf10's. thats rad that you just have to ask, around here it seems impossible to find out who owns certain spots i want to film at; yeah the hotel shots looked awesome in the trailer, and the warehouse from the fallout video was great looking
well dude, Ive watched alot of your vids and you have an awesome vision, we have full use to the sets too bad we couldn't collaborate on some projects, im sure we could throw out some pretty epic films

Excellent use of camera work. It's the gritty, urban feel that was really needed for something like this. Overall, really nice short film.
