  • ugh u don't want to stretch this way if you want to live for long and be a happy person throughout the whole period. If you ever study yoga asanas you will know why. This type of stretching requires ALOT of responsibility from you, after you do it. Unless you want to become a miserable person, once u stop stretching this way and unless ure not sure u are going to keep doing this over and over, I advice u not to start. Better yet try stretching with your breath slowly, so that it brings pleasure.

  • @GoHardMG Chiropracty is still controversial. If you had said my osteopath said this is bad, that would be different. Fact is, the only person that can tell you how to stretch best is you. If you don't bounce because it hurts your back then don't do it. But if bouncing alleviates that pain and gives you a better stretch, don't listen to someone telling you that it's wrong and bad for you.

  • @FfejTball I quit bouncing all i do is pull I had bad back pain that didnt go away it was so pain full it hurt to my my leg and kick and it was always on my pelvis. I went to my chiropractor for a week and after a week I had no pain so im very grate full to my chiropractor.

  • Good stretches, but I would suggest not bouncing on the stretch until you can hold it for over 60 seconds comfortable (at which point I would just push the stretch and hold it there.)

    People who already have the flexibility will find bouncing a good way to keep things limber and warm up, but people without the flexibility should avoid it to avoid risk of injury.

  • If you have flexibility, you don't even need to stretch to do the butterfly kick, it comes in naturally. For other moves, like the No Hand Cartwheel, you need to stretch.

His back foot should NOT be pointing towards his front foot. *In various martial arts forms they utilize a "T" stance (or 'modified' T stance) which is where the back foot is horizontal to the front foots vertical or a form of a 90 degree angle of sorts. The idea is to provide a greater resistance to an impact from a hit/kick/push or a stronger bracing to support the force of your own blows (punches/kicks/etc). *Martial Arts trained*

  • @odin23581 You are correct, the overall style is not practical, they don't stress punches and evasion enough. This is an excellent example of why the concepts of jeet kune do should be applied to s serious martial artist

  • @Darkangle25uk hey calm down bruce lee ! we live in a gun era , where a guy in a wheelchair can shoot you down with one bullet , and whats that crap about street fighting ? what you live in harlem or something :D , kongfu is nice as a sport but when it comes to what you called street fighting then boxing/kick boxing is the most practical because the moves are brutal and easy to perform and it all depends on your balls not the skills you learned .. sports are good in general , stay healthy

  • @Seiferzed uuuuuh kickboxing is not for combat or self defense...Karate,Kung Fu arts like those are...and they are the most effective,i trained in muay thai kickboxing for 6 years and now been training Shotokan Karate for a little bit now almost a blue belt...it is far more practical...and hate to break it to you with in 21 feet us martial artist win...we can get to the person before they react....average human reaction time is 1.5 seconds.....i travel 10 yards(30 feet) in 1.22 seconds

  • Oh that's right. Now I remember my comment. As immature as this sounds the only thing I can argue is he probably wouldn't kick my ass. TKD is not practical in comparison to other MA. It was designed for exercise, not combat, and all those spinning kicks are easy to avoid, involve TONS of telegraphing, and will tire you out real fast. And their chain front kicks just don't do anything. It's just stepping into someone. Good workout, but against other MA those moves will just hurt you.

  • If I want strong legs I'll work out, not learn an impractical martial art. That's more efficient, and if I'm going to learn to do something in a fight, I don't want it to have sense behind it. It's a matter or life and death, not being cute.
