@xCleverlyx damn where you heard that from? That Nas wrote this in 10 minutes? Thats amazing that he managed to craft such a great song in that short of time
I really like Nas. Nine times out of ten he's got something real good to say. Whether it's life stories, hard realities, or even aspirations for a better place, he always seems to know exactly what to say and how to say it.
All with sick beats and grooves under him. There needs to be more like Nas.
NAS the best!!! why dont they play this dont they play this on the radio>? whens he coming out wit sum new shit.!!!?? solo i mean, cuz every nas fan knows he s doing his collabo wit damein marley
hes 100% lyrical talent hes amazing next to big and pac nas is the last real hip hop artst alive.
but for real let me get real nas fell off? LOL the state of hip hop is so bad soulja boy is considered lyrical and hip hop... yah the next person that says the hommie nas feel off ill fukin smack them retarded i dare someone to compare this to turn my swag on or some gucci wack shit
@YungFeyth14 agreed. but i'd throw in guru with big and pac. nas is with all three of those real mcs. i've been a nas and his dad olu dara fan for 10+ years and will always be a fan
@YungFeyth14 I Agree with you 100 . and im 15 . but Lets not Forget About Eminem He is also one of the last real hip hop artist my top 3 is tupac nas and eminem
Obviously still the NaStiest... "OG's hate to make way for the new, young niggas want polo (kanye) and fuckin wit Jay Crew"..... Study this niggas lyrics and its so obvious who the best rapper alive truely is
which explains the current state of his lyrics and delievery today. Its an interesting technique to use, but you can tell its starting to catch up to him in his age. Cause he doesn't really say much in his music anymore(D.O.A. being the perfect example). But Nas has always been a better lyricist than Jay, and Jay had the better flow(and better at improv). Nas a better storyteller and conceptual artist, and Jay a better showman and perfomer(his concerts are always classic).
yeah this is basically Nas' "ok here you go" to shut up all the "Man I wanna here that old illmatic shit" from the annoying fans and dudes sayin he fell off cause of his current content(Murda Mook etc). Niggas don't understand that what makes Nas so distinuged from these other artists he is sigle handedly has his talent in full control. When dudes say hes fallen off, hes just in his own zone, but can still flip it back(Where Ya'll At)and this(Film).
Nas got the emotional touch other rappers wish they had but never get.

I know this sample from somewhere. A game or a movie or something...
Nas's spit game here reminds me of his 'Illmatic' storytelling style. Maybe it's just me.
