  • why would you cry Laura? Is your Grandma somewhere else?

  • @ellen10sea Yeah, her grandma lives in Italy.

  • i love you laura you like my idol now

  • Inspirational

  • is tomatoe puree the same as paste?

  • @searstower75 no, paste is in the small cans and thicker than puree in the larger cans!

  • Thank you Laura for sharing your grandmothers recipe with us, I'm looking forward on making it:)

  • Just made this for dinner. It's absolutely amazing!

  • Simmer covered or uncovered?

  • Laura! The soups been cooking for an hour now and I took a taste test.... AH! So good! I've never cooked butternut squash before and if I've eaten it in the past I didn't know it... SO GOOD!!! So happy I finally made a dish of yours and it's your grandmother's soup. :-) Thanks Laura!

  • @TheCoilWhisperer End results... fantastic! Not the same consistency but delicious. It really feels like home (my family cooks soups like this all the time). BTW, I burned my tongue too... LOL

  • Laura, when the veggies are simmering for 2 hours do you put a lid on?

  • @TheCoilWhisperer Oh, I cooked it without the lid... seems to be going fine. :-) Amateur cook here :-)

  • she loves her grandma <3

  • I cant find find the recipe on the site?

  • ¦:-•:*''*:•-:¦:-•:*''*:•-:¦ Dear Laura, you must "video" your Grandmother's cooking (you said, "there's always next year"). . .no one ever knows. Someday when you are 80 years old and you re-visit all of your videos. I guarantee your favorite video would be the one where your Grandmother is cooking. (Trust me ! ! !). And as a matter of fact, you need to make a video of your Father's cooking. You will give all of us a real treat too. Thank you, Nina Rosie

  • Please show us how to make Minestrone Soup! :D

  • i cant find the recipe on the website! D:

  • @cmannequin It's called chicken soup.

  • 5:00 she looked into my soul..

  • I feel the love....I need to make this soup. I love soup and I love special recipes. You are amazing and I love cooking and baking just like you. Big hugs xxx

  • My mother is coming to stay with me for two weeks, and I'm going to make this for her, and also your Italian Potato Soup! Thanks for the recipes!

  • wonderful!

  • 2 hours for soup?! wow isnt that too much? I only cook soup for about 20-30 minutes

  • @tommygirl20247

You think that's long, try making a Consomme

Those take about the same amount of time. My experience in cooking is that the longer something simmers the stronger the flavor becomes. Since the water is evaporating because of all the simmering the taste of vegetables and other ingredients become much much stronger. 20-30mins and an hour or two can make a big difference in flavor. Also when REDUCING (Cooking term) add water/stock if you feel that what you're cooking might burn :D

  • Laura.. you're too patient to cook this!

  • Wonderful person

  • When does the recipe start?

  • Thank u for sharing the recepie and the story, i too leave away from my fam. Its hard at times but theres alway comfort food LOL ;)

  • @vgfigue made a video with you and your grandma cooking together!

  • what is that cube? is it the same as a chicken stock cube?

  • @xxxalefxxx its a chicken bouillon cube

  • Nice!

  • Always great!!

  • I love you :x

  • Looks yummy.

  • nostalgia makes some dishes more tasty. Nonna Laura will be proud of you ;)

  • this looks super yum! and easy, haha! thanks Laura <3

  • I hope making these videos is as much fun for you Laura as watching them is for us, because I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say we want many more to come!

  • @swatkdw You ask for things to be more simple..? This is literally as simple as you can get. It's vegetables, chicken, and water. How much more simple can you get? Shall she boil you a potato or possibly microwave some frozen vegetables? O:

  • @swatkdw Are you kidding? These are simple dishes! Let her do whatever she wants to do - if you think this is "hard" don't make it! And stop posting rude comments just to get attention!

  • @4countrygal4 hey. You have even no Idea what 'rude' means. I didn't force her to make vedios that I prefer to. You are the one who is rude. Are you mad ?

  • @swatkdw You are not even making any sense! And yes, yes I am mad... at people like you! Who are ungrateful!

  • yayyy i love all your recipes!xx

  • It looks delicious <3

  • I really loved the expression on your face when you were telling us what you were making today. You look so excited and proud :) - which I believe makes the BEST food. Fantastic episode! Can't wait to try this!

  • I thought you we're gonna cry in the beginning when you we're talking about the soup

  • This soup looks gorgeous, just wondering if I could make a big batch and freeze it so I could eat it at my leisure? I'm not sure if you can freeze cooked chicken.

  • I LOVE all your recipes -- they are easy to follow and taste very good. Can you please do a video on fruit cake for Christmas?

  • Laura sei dolcissima mi hai fatto commuovere alla fine!! You're the best *_*

  • Interesting that there aren't many spices in the ingredients

  • This video is so sweet. I love the personal stories behind it. For me, though, the taste of comfort and memories of my grandmother is a soup of chicken, onion, dill, potatoes, celery, carrots, a couple parsnips and . . . MATZA BALLS!!!

  • Laura, do you show your grandma your videos? :)

  • What is that cube thaat she added ?

  • @dmdomah1998 Chicken bouillon. It's basically chicken broth in cube form.

  • @dmdomah1998 bullion..its like chicken broth.you take a cube of bullion, add a big amount of water and have chicken broth

  • Amazing episode. :')

  • Italians doesn't even know what's a Butternut squash, onestly. :/

  • looks soooooooooooooooo good

  • what did she said at 5:35 - 5:38?? what's that means?

  • @trumpetzzz You can make her grandmother's chicken, I believe

  • @trumpetzzz you can go to your kitchen and make "my nonna Laura's brodo di pollo". she spoke Italian, brodo di pollo is of course the chicken soup and nonna is grandma :-)

  • @alejuly oh.. thanks.. I like how she using Italian language,, it sounds really go0d.. :)

  • @trumpetzzz you're welcome! yeah i like it too, she's just too cute!!and yes italian is really good:-)

  • @trumpetzzz Because she is Italian and has the right to be proud of it.

But I know what you mean the language and the way she said it is almost like a song 5:36 : )

  • actually time is never promised to us so you should go see your grandma ASAP and spend as much time with her as you can because you can never get that time back. I know it is easy to think that they will be with us when we have the time to go see them or when our schedual clears up, but sometimes you just have to make family your priority because so much can happen and you don't want to be left with regrets. :)

  • U should make a video on how to make cinnamon buns

  • Thanks for sharing such a lovely moment with ur grandma ^^ definitely gonna try to make it to feel "a bit closer to home".

  • 2:22 Poor little butternut squash.

  • I love that all your recipes are so simple ad easy to make, with little ingredients!

  • you should have done a special episode when you reached 200 eps

  • What is a chicken cube?

  • @Hales52 Are you talking about the brown cube in the beginning? if so its called a chicken bullion cube which is compressed stock that needs to be dissolved before using (to make stock) :)

  • Why can't you have your own TV show Laura????

  • @yja032010

so true. She way better than other cooking celebrities out there.. and who can beat that voice.

  • @emilyriana26 Yeah!

  • When I clicked on this video, I didn't expect to be tearing up by the end.

  • @stewartyu Man, you make me want to skip to the end.

  • omg another soup episode

  • Thanks Laura can't wait to try.

  • I like that you think that Italy is your Home... !!!!!!

  • @fioccodinevebianco She was born and raised there

  • @gustavorborba Yes I know... that's why I wrote this... :D

  • yum!

  • Laura, if you are ever in Italy again, you should do a cooking video with your grandma! OR if she comes here to visit, then you could a video too! Grandmas are always fun to have in the kitchen when cooking!

  • why did you season the skin if you didn't use it?...looks wonderful though. god bless your nonna <3

  • @firelilly08 the flavour from the skin will get infused into the soup, that's why she cooked it so long

  • i almost cried.....

  • 2 HOURS!?!?

  • @sneezy1ful........ flavour..........

  • Yeeeeeessssssssss! Homemade chicken soup!

  • I love your videos laura

  • Awww! The reason why that dish makes you emotional is because it was always made by someone you love and someone who loves you dearly, namely your grandmother, I totally get it! Thanks for sharing! ;)

  • LOVE THIS! <3 U! ;)

  • so uhhh how come you're so skinny....

  • @Zonkosable All the stuff she makes incorporates a lot of healthy all natural ingredients. She makes everything even her dough by hand. It's a really well balanced diet if you watch enough of her videos to get a glimpse of her eating habits.

  • @pinkelation yeah but even so - quantity-wise can cause her to gain weight right? what about gym or something how about making a video explaining wat she eats in a whole day most of her stuff are dinner meals how about brekkie?

  • Looks delicious and easy to make...thanks for sharing!!!
