  • Looks like a high quality and bad ass amp.

  • @ryanjofre lol

  • I wish we made amps like that!

  • @deetgeluid yeah they dont make them like that anymore that's for shure

  • it is for extra battery, amp is going to drow extra power when it needs it, your amp probably dyed cose of power starvation and it cosed transistors to heat up and fry, some like very old amp can have 4+ power conections.

  • @ribak1983 i got this amp fryed who ever had it befor me had no idea how to hook stuff up . i repaird it and sold it but thanks for the comment

  • i dont rember what it had or anything like that but thanks for the comment

  • (2) 25A fuse...

  • The extra power plug is to add a stiffening capacitor that was made specifically for this amps...it just plugs right in. you don't need to plug it in, it was overkill and a good selling point.

  • ok i have a question... my amp plays perfectly fine when its below 10 but when i turn it up the bass seems to short out or something.. it only plays the beginning note then the rest of the note sounds like its shorted out. it played perfectly fine last week before my remote wire burned up :(. now i replaced everything and this is killing me

  • @playboydaking225 are you shure that you have your ohm's right ? do you have a good ground ? do you have good power ? sometimes it can even be you have a voice coil going out if you sub / sub's have daul voice coils hook one up at a time and see if they are all working. if you have signal coils in your sub/ sub's then you could have one going and its shorting out the other this can also happen in dual coil sub's to if this dosn't help then you must have interal amp problems .

  • @playboydaking225 it also could be you deck outputs

  • @playboydaking225 one more thing check for pinching of wires and check all your deck wiring sometimes it even can be a bad ground on the deck . if your saying your rem wire burnt then thats telling me a short problem for shure hopefuly you didnt hurt amp allready anyway let me know if any of this helped .

  • more then likely yes . that is what is commen to go out or what is frist to go out (not all the time tho ) . if you know how to test it do that frist or take it in and they will test it and tell you .

  • @jason28w My amp is in protection mode right when power is hooked up and no cables hooked up on it. I hooked up my old amp and it works fine. What maybe wrong? Transistors?

  • sorry to bother you again but just got a jensen amp 880 watts max 2ch and it keeps blowing fuses right when I plug it it would come for like 10 secs then blow fuses. So I took a look inside and a mosfet is blown. I need to how to repair it and where i get parts.

  • @kittybath its cool man i dont mind you asking me qustions that's what in here for . yeah what i was going to say is its a mosfet chip or a transitor chip but when you replace one you got to replace them all because if you only fix the one then all the other ones will end up working harder and the same thing can happen . if you have a muti meter set it for ohm's and go in the and check all the mosfets and transitors they shoul read all in mega ohm's like (11.23 12.56 ) it will veary this is just

  • @jason28w a demo so you can get a idea. as for parts find out what mosfets are on the the amp (bord) or transitors if there is any wrighting on them . if not then look the amp up and see if you can find a number to call and ask if you would like make a good video of the amp show me the in side of it and tell me what it say's inside of the amp what kind it is what power how many channels and any numbers or letters that mit be on the mosfets or transitors .

  • @jason28w and ill help you find parts

  • ok yeah thanks for the help, well its a 2 ch 800 watt jensen amp I have a 12" mtx 4500 and 12" memphis mclass subs in a sealed box, whats the best way to wire them the mtx is dual 4ohm and the memphis is a single 4ohm.

  • @kittybath well with the jensen amp i would only run one sub on it . the dual voice coil sub you would need to wire it at 8ohms if you want to Bridge the amp .or you can run one voice coil on one channel and the other voice coil on the other channel makeing the ohm's stay at 4 . for the sinal voice coil its easy just run the sub on bridged but you got to make shure that you set your gains right or you will start cliping and that heats up the subwoofers voice coils. i set my gains at half or less

  • well you did help got them all fixed, I am trade the pioneer with a xxx 12 sub for a jensen 800 watt amp, the pioneer eq is totaled so i know jensen is super cheap but it will work.

  • @kittybath oh ok cool i was just glad to help . jensen isnt that bad as long as you know what your doing anyway if you have anymore questions just ask .

  • I have a problem I have lighting audio that comes on but does not put out anything, a dual 300 that goes right into protect mode, then I have a pioneer 760 that comes on plays then when it jars it goes out. HELP ME WITH THESE.

  • @kittybath the lighting audio amp it sounds like you have a rca problem or the output side of the amp is fried. and for the dual amp there is a interanl part that is fried more then likey the mosfet power suppleys . and for the pioneer amp it sound's like a easy fix pull the back off and see if anything is lose or there should be a ground wire in there and that could be comeing off let me know if i helped later .

  • yo i got ampilifer it on protect mode you can fix it

  • @AcuraLegend1994 maybe

  • what caused that the transistor blew up?

  • @HenryGAD don't know i got it like that

  • a i have a question i have a memphis audio amp and every time i hook it up it blows the fuses as soon as the power light turns on

  • I have done a couple amp repairs before especially with surface mount parts like smd resistors, but I still got one amp working just needed to repair the drive cicuit and replace gate resistors.

  • i did get it fixed and sold it for 75 i wanted 50 but my friend said shit ill give you 75 so i side OK SOLD.

  • Hello! Yeah as drotimes4 said, the powercell is for a capacitor, go to lightning audios website & read the manual, it will tell you all you need to know! These amps were made around 2000 or 2001, not super old, but older. If you got it out of the garbage, great find man! Im getting ready to do a small install in one of our cars & that amp would be perfect, cheap, decent output & would power 2 fronts & a small sub. I have the S5.700 but it is way to big to put in this car. Hope you got it fixed.

  • One more thing! I hope you did not throw either of those amps away if you could not repair them, it makes me sick thinking that this stuff gets thrown in the trash like that, I hate to think about it! I salvage virtually every part out of old electronics & amps that I can, if I cant use the parts at the moment, I box it up & save it for later. I just hate to see stuff like that get thrown out when there are people like me that could get use out of it working or not working. Take care man!

  • @621ELECTRONICS

hell yea one mans trash is another Mans treasure

  • @cubanman2009 lol yeah you got that right

  • i found out what it is for its for dual power so you can run another amp in other words its called a power link for a sec amp

  • its for an external capacitor bro
