i like can ams had two renegades 800xc one 650 xt outlander now got a 400 outlander xt still very good of road 67 mph and strong bikes! havent had a max yet do u fine they r better off road or the same!
It's sometimes funny to watch newbies learn to ride their machines. Seriously, these guys have all the expensive riding gear on, but they ride like a bunch of yuppies out to see the wilderness. See buddy swatting at the branch at 3:11?
Can Am needs to reenforce their frame. They twist way too easily, especuially for the price they ask for them. BTW, someone in another post said the Bighorns are no good in mud! I have 'em and they are a great all purpose tire, good in mud and GREAT in snow!
it is very reliable put 800 mi on in 2 months and never a problum. exept the brakes when wet and the shifter is hard to move but not all them have the shifter problum.
The frames are pretty sturdy and durable. I did however manage to bend it once. A 250 suzuki going roughly 50 km/h hauled around a turn and hit me while I was parked on the right side fender near the tire. That's only to be expected though. The belts don't slip, the only noticeable thing that happens when it gets wet is the annoying noise the brakes make.
any machine will slip a belt if it gets wet. The frame needs some protection... Very good frame, probably the best, if you take care to protect it. The engine is a major structural member in the design...
The renegade is half sport half utility. The outlander is more to the utility side. they both have 4x4/2x4 and both are capable of the plow add on and such.
I've had so much trouble with my CanAm800. At 6 months the engine blew and had to be rebuilt. The front springs collapsed. The winch had to be replaced. The transmission housing leaked water causing the belt to slip. Then the transmission stopped shifting later and now my ATV is in the shop getting a new clutch because it locked up a few weeks ago. Although the warranty is 3 yrs I still have to pay a $50 deductable for each incident. They're fun and fast but unreliable.
well sounds like abad luck cause i think there reliable my bro bought a 50cc and his freind did my brothers is great his friend is alwas breaking dpown you just got unlucky
no i was talkin about the arctic cat 1000, but polaris's r just has heavy, and more, im not sure about the weight of the new 09 850 but its like 99% new so it might be lighter
