That "unusual F barre chord" is an Fmaj7/C pronounced "F major 7th over C". 1,3,5, and 7th notes of the F scale, which are F A C and E. You say "over C" because thats the note that is the first in the chord, rather than F itself (the root). :)

I don't get it. When you play the rythm slowly, your hand is doing: D D D DUDUD D DUDUD D DUDUD D D. D=Down and U=Up, but when you play the whole thing it's D D D DUDUD D DUD D D DUDUD D D.

Hey, I can't really play guitar and am trying to learn this song. I have the first chord and the hammer on sorted I just don't know how you get the "chick-a-chick" noise in between chord transitions? You say something about "letting the open strings ring out..." but how do you do that in terms of finger placement on the fret board/strumming?

When you show the g chord you say the 1 string is muted but when you play it slow you grab it in the third fret. you are not doing the chord you have shown. anyway tankyou for show me how to play this song.

@erik50000 when he strums down he touches the palm of his strumming hand against the strings for a split second and it cuts it off. like, if you just strum really loud and want to shut it up you cover the strings with your hand...thats all.
