747 FMC is pretty much the same. Basicly if you know how to use FMC you can apply this knowledge to allmost all different aircraft FMCs.

just wanted to ask: When I got to my crz alt. which is FL310, the aircrafts goes down and up that Alt. example is : when the 744 gets to the crz alt it dosen't stop and still ascends, then after about 200-250 ft. it descends again and passes the crz alt., then after that it ascends again passing the crz alt. over and over again. I had to go throught this is my flights and when flying online I kinda look stupid because of this :D PLEASE HELP ME It also dosen't hold a constant speed.

The speed I am saying is the one shown in the FMC. just want you to know that everything goes smoothly until the T/C, but the descent is also okay.

hi, thanks for the tutorials - please tell me whether the small gauge top right next to the speed tape is an angle of attack gauge ? and what the little white plane symbol is next to the fmc annunciator ? finally the green arc in the nd tells us exactly what - ( it would be nice for there to be a toga button on the throttle panel or the mcp somewhere) at the moment there isnt one there.

It's pretty easy. Just make the FMC "taller". Take a hold of the bottom (or top) and drag it, then the 0 will work :)

So I select a runway all the way at the end of the page and I exec.(Why at the end?)

Then I have to find airport approach charts and input the way points that guide down to runway 18L? Does fsbuild have way points at approach? Thanks for your video I really learn a lot for PMDG 747X.

you don't have to use fsbuild. I use the fs9 flight planner and it works very well. Once you have created the flight plan, you can click on NAV data, i think thats what its called, and it shows the all the VFR points. I think they are called VFR points, not sure.

The problem is if you want to use real world flight plans you cant because the FS database is so out of date. Not to mention it doesnt handle SIDS or STARS. Its a good starting point for begginers learning about navigation but thats about it.

Its really a matter of prefference. Without stepping on toes I think PMDG creates a more reaslistic product since the got the licensing directly from Boeing. Of course Im somewhat partial :)

Yes and no. Its not fully modeled but you can mess around with it.

How about updating your FMC?? Cause sometimes I get waypoints out of charts and it says "Not in Database" or "Invalad Entry." Can you halp???

Keep in mind that this tutorial is over a year old so some of the waypoints may no longer exist. It was all valid when it was created but I cant speak the accuracy of it now.

If you install realplayer with the download button then you can download most of the videos on utube.

Makes for better viewing of such tutorials without having to come to Utube to watch them, you could even convert them for your cell/mobile phone.

i dont get it how can you fly your plan on the fmc if the atc in the game tells you wich way to turn on the approachs for example

You fly according to what ATC tells you to fly during the takeoff and approach phase. During all the other parts the FMC does all the work.

You can use it but the FMC on the 747 is slightly different. About 90% of it is the same.
