@MOSKII58 you're right! That's the first thing I thought of when I heard this for the first time. This is a tasty treat for sure, all the way through.
@popes0919 Over 42? Is that all? You gotta be kidding me. love Larry Carlton so much~i've been replaying this song for lot of times. The other one i can't stop listening is "smiles & smiles to go." like his playing w/ FourPlay too~i feel touched every time when seeing their live:D their passion for music has never been diminishing w/ age~
I have this on my ipod but had never seen the video. Two great guitarists. Great to see Larry C stretch out a little. In love w/ his playing since the Dan 'Kid Charlemagne' days but 'frustrated' by his studio stuff where it seems like he is too safe and commercial. Liked his playing w/ FourPlay a lot, also.
@HolyGK I think this gig was quite a few years ago, well before the tragedy..Nonetheless I'm with you in your prayers....but meanwhile, we bomb and kill...unbelievable!

@whaaselfesteem you're right.why compare, both are good in their own right.you guys if you know how to play, post your video and lets see how good you are!!!!
I like the banter about who's the better guitarist...these guys are both phenominal and the discussion about who tops who in this performance is not warranted...it's not a pissing contest....two great musicians in their own right sharing the stage, it's about accompaniment not comparing.
This was about 2 years before LC took Rit's place in FourPlay, I would like to have heard THAT conversation! Hahaha.... (I'm quite sure it was a POSITIVE thing, not a negative at all. LC stayed with 'em quite a bit longer than Rit did, but now Chuck Loeb is with FP, sometimes it's just time to move on.)
@ZeekDuff But I don't think Rit and Bob James have collaborated since...Not saying anything is to this. I know Rit has done stuff with Harvery Mason and I'm pretty sure Nathan East, though.
@monkeys350 PLEASE DO. It is bone heads like Booger? Boner? Burber what ever his name is that takes all of the fun out of the music now a days. Here is some real talent.
