I know the video is kind of old..but I have to say...my favorite part of this is when he says "some groups may have people that aren't very good and may run in without full health, like this guy..." lol...he was almost full, then he proceeds to cast a spell at the boss before the tank hits him....yeah, some groups don't have good people...and your constant talking is unbelievably annoying.

@Overkill423 It very much follows the standard roller coaster MMO similar to WoW. Its gameplay is similar as well tho no auto attack is in the game. Every quest is voice acted, and it focuses more on story and leveling currently. Tho there is end game and more content being released soon. As far as better or worse, thats a matter of preferance.

@globmonkey200716102 I played a sith inquisitor in the beta as well and the spells are basically the main attacks you get. He only has 2 lightsaber attacks and they do minimal damage. Lightning is more effective, even in melee.

Not sure if anyone said this or not but you can jump into one of these instances with one or two other people with you and fill the last slots with companions. Watched a play through of this instance on the TGN channel where they did that with a sith warrior and a sith inquisitor and they each had a companion.

@yurtyybomb Me too. Will make taking down elites easier too in the world if you try to solo them. You can also gear up your companions just like in a single player game. Not sure if this will make them on par with some players or just below them but it is cool that you can do it. Will have to check it out after release a bit more. You can't take them into pvp with you though which is a good thing I think since its "pvp". :D

You can use companions in Flashpoint instances to take the place of a player. They're generally not as useful as an actual player though and they become less viable at higher levels.

Especially since your going to have to be looking at the character a lot whenever you are playing as them in the game.

I think Bioware has made​a big mistake with regard to graphics. They wanted to make a game which looks cartoon like wow and that age more slowly, but technically it's much too old, and graphically it does not really personality.

Still not quite sure what the red roll is, but I assume someone who hasn't gotten a chance to speak in a period of time automatically gets to talk, but thats just my guess.

if you choose a light side response but the person responding does something evil instead you will still get lightside points, so its still fair

I don't deny the possibility that ToR will (most likely) get even better over time as WoW has- but it is absolutely no signifier that it looks so much better than WoW was originally. ToR has had the opportunity to learn from every positive and negative experience WoW had whereas WoW was starting from a much harder place: MMOs had yet to go mainstream and it was up to WoW to literally get to that point from scratch.

@Lermasd It's true WoW pioneered many of the now-established innovations in the MMO genre. WoW also brought MMOs more to the mainstream.

However, it's unrealistic to expect WoW to be at the top forever. Other folks also have great ideas how to improve MMOs. Personally, I quite dig the more involved storyline and sub-class aspect.

Also, keep in mind that this is the first instance in the game. It's more of an introductory primer to how they work for the new players.
