The creation of the islands is having a large effect on the marine habitat and animals in Persian Gulf. The construction is burying coral reefs, oyster beds, and subterranean fields of sea grass. They are threatening many marine species as well as the species that depend on the marine species for food
the implications of the construction of artificial Islands by the UAE in the Persian Gulf in the large scale change the quality of the water. Experts of international organizations have warned against the destruction of Dubai's sole coral coast and coastal nests of turtles in the first phase of this project. Dubai should be concerned for the long-term viability of the plan.
DUBAI, the city where the moral police beat the women. ur daughter, sister, mother or friend. there is nothing more ugly seeing that happen in front of u with burg dubai in the background
As nice as Dubai seems, I just don't see how it will be able to compete with the high expectations of being relaxing like Chicago. Don't get me wrong, I think Dubai is incredible, it's just that there seems to be a bit TOO MUCH construction and sand. It doesn't mix well.
It is excruciatingly shoved into the desolate geography. I think that mentioning Chicago is tough to swallow, I could not picture this surreal decadence with the kind of historic brilliance as Chicago. The connection is more in the architectural firm who designed several structures in both cities.
I had opted for the "sky-cranes galore" comment over including that detail. It is amazing that there are only so many cranes and to see them compiled so closely is rather surreal.
Dubai: About 30,000, or 24 per cent of the world's 125,000 construction cranes, are currently operating in Dubai, according to the organisers of the Conmex construction machinery exhibition. -Gulf News
GREAT VID. On Dec. 2 1971 the Truccial States became the UAE. In 35 the UAE has changed from a poor nation of fisherman, date palm growers and pear diving along the Pirate Coast to what it is today! Unbelievable!! A true rags to riches story. UAE rocks!!!
