  • This call to mind Tony Robbins point about raising your standards. And you are the only one who can do this.

Demand excellence from yourself and nothing less. Your mind will find all kinds of ways to achieve that high standard. And others will wonder how you did it.

    Thanks for posting.

  • I thinks it's kind of cool that hes typing in the dark, kind of surreal.

    Such a gentleman.

  • why is he typing in the dark?

  • We love you Earl! =) You have made a great contribution to the world, and to a lot of successes!

  • The problem might be that some times you set too high standard.

You will be devastated, you well feel anxiety, that you can't reach your own standards...

It is really an art to set a worthy and great standard within your reach.

But even if you won't reach it, remember:

'Shoot for the moon, even if you miss - you will be among the stars".

  • Seajay I was wondering if you had more videos from his show.. I have actually found one place that has all the transcripts from the show. Let me know what you got maybe we can work something out or even go half on getting them all copied it will cost and 1,050.00 to get copied and shipped.

  • I think the ''LEAD THE FIELD'' series was recorded sometime in the 1980's

  • @bilcoelectronics --No, LTF was originall recorded in the 1960's. The final rerecording was done in 1986 just before Earl's death.

  • You all need to watch his: The Strangest Secret in the World Earl Nightingale it will blow your mind.

    BODacious Inc.

  • It is impossible to imagine Earl Nightingale as a young child. The man was dripping with gravitas.

  • can anyone tell me what year earl recorded his spoken word "lead the field" series?

  • @OralAgreement69

I think the ''LEAD THE FIELD'' series was recorded sometime in the 1980's

  • I believe that there are a lot of politicians today who are exploiting hopelessness, and cultivating dependency on the government, to maintain a perpetual under-privileged class to continue voting for them. They are amateurs at everything, and they are wrecking our economy. You are playing into their hands if you are not willing to look for your own way forward. Turn off the TV. Take control of your own mind. Take time each day to visualize specifically what you want, and act.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY EARL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome video

    Thanks for posting

  • Listening to Nightingale's lectures and speeches, what strikes me is that we have seen a radical break with the standards of quality and merit that he and his generation took for granted. While his general principles are timeless, the playing field is much changed. In the art & music worlds, it is no longer true that the best quality achieves the highest price; the opposite seems to be truer. In business, we see people who do not give value make millions. We have regressed.

  • Now this is the kind of stuff we should have on television.

  • I agreed with you- this kind of stuff.. SHOULD BE on television and I " I think" in SCHOOL TOO!

  • For the first time in all the HISTORY OF MAN, we now know this and so much more.

And we can take the reigns, and better understand and shape our world using our theories of it's laws-- creating life, postponing death, and healing the sick. We, humans, the most intelligent species ever to exist, can perform the roles previously assigned by man to God.

It's a great time to be alive.

  • Did Earl Nighingale believe in God? I find that many powerful life lessons replace the void and confusion in people's lives that influence them to seek God.

And with so many breakthroughs in Biology, I find that science is disproving claims of the Bible with every new discovery.

Less than a century ago, the general public had no physical explanation for how humans came into existence, how a baby is created, and why loved ones succumb to horrible and untreatable diseases.

  • The Bible and God Are two Separate things my freind.

When a man belive's he is god all hell will break loose...

  • Literately

  • I remember hearing Earl Nightgale regularly as a kid and always enjoyed it. One thing that always struck me was the quality of his voice. There's something strange about it. Almost like he always had postnasal drip.

  • Man, I have yet to grasp this mans potential.

  • Grasp his potential, or how much he developed of it?

  • I hardly listen to my radio just motivation like this helps me get my mind prepared for the next task

  • Thank you so much for sharing

  • One of the greatest Earl Nightingale....

  • I almost forgot - we had the exact same weather clock hanging on the wall to the right of Earl.

  • During the early 70's, we would listen to the orange Zenith radio in the kitchen while getting ready for school.

Our Changing World would be played every morning on our small local station, WFVA. As a child, I looked forward to hear Earl speak and felt a little more worldly and comfortable because of him. A great way to start the day. Wow, what memories..... thanks for posting -

  • Does anybody know if this show was on open tv back then? I think it highly needed today

  • The show was originally broadcast on PBS, WTTW channel 11 in Chicago.
