  • I think Jon Heder should play the Next "The Greatest Merican Hero"! what ya think?

  • Tremenda epoca... los 80's !!! bella epoca que nunca volvera !!!

  • No wonder the show only went 2 years, he would have been dead from internal injuries after all those falls.

  • @studmuffin0681 Nah, the suit would protect him from that, lol.

  • @NeverDoubt1 - LOL - although he did get a concussion and amnesia in that episode where he hit the train with his head (while wearing the suit). Although it didn't protect him 100% there, I'm sure it lessened the damage from if he HADN'T been wearing the suit - he'd have been dead!

  • @KiraJenLove Lol, true. Though would the amnesia have happened if Bill hadn't gotten Ralph's regular clothes for the hospital? Some fans have speculated on that, hehe. ;)

  • @NeverDoubt1 - Oh - so you're saying that would the suit have helped him recover if he had stayed in it? Very interesting, I never thought about that! Kind of like the episode "The Shock Will Kill You", where he had been magnetized, and they were afraid of taking the suit off for fear it might kill him.

  • @KiraJenLove Yeah which would make it all the more tragic actually because Bill was trying to help Ralph by getting him to the hospital, but the result was that Ralph couldn't remember him anymore.

"Shock" is a great episode too, in part because I think we can all identify with the fear of electric shock, even if it's not that extreme, lol.

  • @NeverDoubt1 - also, the suit did have some limitations - aside from the amnesia he got, the suit cannot protect his head/hands (body parts not covered by the suit) from bullets, which is why he puts his arms up to cover his face when people shoot at him, and also the suit doesn't work in the 4th dimension.

  • How did you manage to put popular songs on your video? Whenever I tried that, YouTube disabled my audio track.

  • @KiraJenLove just dont try to puthte whole song, cut a second or two from the song and then you arent really copying in

  • @22centman36 - I made another video where I spliced together short clips of several songs, and I tried to upload it here, and they still disabled my audio. But that was over a year ago. Have things changed on YouTube?

  • a.k.a. "73 crashes in 4 minutes"

  • OW!! That cactus!!

  • Imagine how this show would do if they remade it for today. I bet it would be a hit

  • I didn't realize they destroyed so many sets! Loved this show.

  • our new health care plan

  • Eric Christian Olsen was attached to the lead in a big screen version that never got funding...apparently Stephen Herek was/is going to direct...

Don't know anything about Bob Culps role-

Vince Vaughn might be okay, but maybe they need more of a tough guy...would have to be a character actor, though-

  • Owen Wilson? Oh hell I can actually see him playing Ralph.

But whos going to be agent Maxwell? Wait a minute... Hugo Weaving (aka Agent Smith- The Matrix) OMG perfect. Somebody call Warner Bros.

  • No way. Wilson's a doofus. That's all he knows how to project. He doesn't have the inherent sweetness and deep moral bravery of Ralph in spite of his "nerdiness."

  • But you see, Ralphs a doofus too. He didnt read the instructions and can never land on his feet right when flying. He crashes through wall after wall and misses his mark half the time. He never could quite handle his powers but made the best of what he could do with them. Wilson was a fair hero in Starsky and Hutch and the "Shanghai" movies with Jackie Chan. I think he'd be perfect to play Ralph if given the chance.

  • That's not what I mean by doofus. To me, Ralph wasn't a doofus precisely because he always tried his best. There was an inherent dignity to him in spite of ail--Katt imbued the character with that quality. Also, he made Ralph seem intelligent. Owen Wilson doesn't project intelligence and sweetness, just nerdy screw up situations. I always rooted for Ralph. With Wilson in the role, meh. Neutral. Bored. Not caring about Ralph. There are other actors I'd favor.

  • What a Great Time!!!

Optical Effects, Camera Angles, Lots of Skills, Practice, and Luck... LOVE IT!!!

    No lazy CG

  • That stuntman earned his money! I heard they were going to make this into a movie with Owen Wilson playing Ralph.

  • How did they do the stunts where he stops the cars from .55 onwards? Was it just very good padding? editing?

  • Good greif, those stunt doubles were unsung heroes for that show.

  • 1:34 Great effect!!!

    I loved this series!!!

  • He needs 2 million Asprin and his book and have him call the ship in the morning lol very good... thats gotta hurt way to much! :)

  • WOW! This was so good. I loved that show as a kid. I cant stop watchin this!

  • The insurance premiums had to be sky high for those stuntmen.

  • dennis madalone = steve perry or he guy sing the real american genius beer commercials

  • i miss the 80's

  • Man you never really realize how much punishment that brotha took over all those shows. He was catching some serious air on a lot of those stunts. I hope he made enough money to retire to the islands after all that. Great tribute to a great stuntman.

  • is this serious?

  • Called Greatest American hero, he can't use the suit correctly because he lost the instruction booklet.

  • stuntmen in them days where crazy , that clip where the car sposed to hit him and goes over his head is done with the ramp but they gotta have decent speed up to get the height , aint no WAY id be standing infront a of a speeding car

  • I prefer to see those organic stunts over todays cgi crap.

  • Back when funny was funny. Now humor is see how bad it can make you cringe

  • @staldisambiguation My god, you're right!

  • xDDD rocket man by elton john, perfect music

  • I'm surprised Dennis wasn't killed doing those stunts. Helluva guy.

  • No way! Imagine, he lost the instruction book so he could never master the suits powers. Doing the best he could he would still stop crimes, it's actually more believable than Superman... XD

I love this series, it's a part of culture. You won't see stuff this good ever again...

  • Great post! One of my favorite shows of all time.

  • Great video. I saw both of them at San Diego Comic Con. I'd like to this of them both being the greatest american hero. Sort of the way Lou Feringo and Bill Bixby played the Hulk.

  • I love em both!
