and people, a helmet may protect your head but not your neck. I slipped on ice when I was dismounting a few years ago and thanks to the helmet, I streched my neck so I couldnt move it for 3 days and it took almost 2-3 weeks before the pain dissapeared. it saved me a headace but not the pain in my neck. but I always wears it, Im the kind of person who just must have something on my head or over my ears. it differs from person to person =)
I would be so scared to train a large animal. I guess cause I have cats and I can't imagine what they would be like to train that personaltiy in a larger animal.
She looks like she is proud to be one of the group.
Im usually not one for western. But you just look like you have fun with it and don't get all serious when they arn't "perfect" Like most the videos i see. You have beautiful horses!! <3
Thank you! They're not perfect, I'm not perfect. It's more fun to do wacky things anyway. I'm hoping to get them swimming this summer and tackling some cattle (RAWR!)
I'm not sure, mom is 14.2 and dad is 14.3. She is very foundation-type and massive so looks bigger than she is. I believe she was 14.2 in this video, yes. I think she's grown since.
So really... to the horse at the age of one and a half years a heavy west saddle would be just to be put on, as if one requires of a 2 year-old child to write a dictation. Make the horse, nevertheless, first largely... Then at the age of 3 or 4 years it can still get to know everything
Oh goodness, you're European. I get it. We ride horses in the U.S. at 2 years old, many breeds. They simply grow faster than you are used to. I had another I did wait until 4 - it was appropriate. The saddle is not heavy at all, it is a cheap little thing. She is very happy, I assure you.
Yes, that is my intent. I would like to see her reining or even cutting as a later career. Her dad went to reining regionals as a colt, so she's hopefully got it in her in some fashion. Thank you :)
A word of advice; don't run your horses on concrete. It's bad on their hooves and joints even if they do have shoes on. You're a VERY good rider to be able to control two horses at once. It's hard enough controling ONE!
Cleo is an extremly beautiful horse!
