- SPB is as much about promoting comedy as Amnesty. it's disingenuous to expect people like Horne/Corden to come on and wave the flag for the UDHR; so they do what they do best and get lots of kudos for it.

- of course these shows aren't as good as they used to be: Peter Cook the funniest man who ever drew breath is permanently unavailable!

- Tim Minchin, Kristen Schaal, Frank Skinner, Eddie Izzard, hell, EVEN THE I.T. CROWD were funny and showing us bits of their shows FOR FREE!

This was just about the only really funny part of the show, sadly. Frank Skinner was OK, but it was the wrong audience for him; Mitchell and Webb were very disappointing, a lacklustre rendition of an old sketch (not even human rights are worth thinking of a new idea for, apparently); Razorlight flogged their new single shamelessly, getting some free karma points into the bargain for no extra work. As a fully paid-up Amnesty supporter, I was absolutely gutted. These shows used to be institutions.
