this mission is fucking frustrating compared to every other mission in the game. not as frustrating as advance wars 1+2 but still very annoying, even though its easy to keep your units safe in the landers.

WOW, I did this chapter in 25+ days and then I saw your video and decided to do everything just like you step by step just for the heck of it and... this is like a PERFECT strategy, from start to finish, especially the opening (first 3 days), the opening is just genius.

I found that using a large amount of seaplanes (mixed in with some battleship fire) to go in the island and bomb the crap out of anything that moved before sending like 4 lander units with a tank type unit and an infantry unit to work really well. I felt like i was invading normandy :3

Thanks! i used your strategy for the first few turns and it saved me time beating the level. Your a genius for beating this level in just 8 turns, but it would've been better if you made your commands a little slower, its hard to keep up.

Thanks a lot! I didn't copy your strategy step by step, but used it as a basis for mine, I just didn't know how to start the battle. Finished it in 19 days or so, still got S rank :)

I somehow managed to scrap an "A" on this one. I did my normal power bomb like technique, but I managed to capture the base relavtively quickly...she only had about six unitls left or so, what was the point of waiting if it's already half captured?

This is easy. Group all ur useless units together, Don't move em, and let the great owl target them. After a while the great owl will leave, giving u a chance to go on the offensive. Destroy as much units as possible with battleships, and keep aware of submarines. Then, when the land is virtually free of rockets, or other indirect attackers, storm in with ur units, (Always keep a few bikes in handy, and a few War tanks)

My ending tactic was to have a "tank unit" (war/medium tanks, rockets, anti-tank,artillery) and a "rocket unit" (anti-air, recon, tank,) that swapped places every time since the spawns swap.

To swap places i would trap the last rocket and keep all units out of its range (obviously) and supply/move units for a couple turns. Then when the 2 "units" swapped places, i would make sure it was my turn and use only one unit to finish the rocket off. Rinse repeat.

I noticed that even when I play my units the exact same way, the opponents units are sometimes different or in different spots. The important units on the other hand stay pretty much the same.

It's pretty good but if you are new to Tactics I recommend something a bite easier, This one needs a bit more skills, If you are new, get something else, But stay away from Both Advance Wars and Rondo of Swords on DS

If you are good at Tactics, I recommend both!

a good tactic for anyone is to use nits for "blocking", i use mob. workshops to block things from my arty

If you did it right, there wouldn't be any tanks... you land 3 War Tanks on the enemy HQ with battleships. You kill the tanks before they screw your capture.

Hm, can't say I had any issues with this map at all. I just used my landers and took control of the south part of the enemy land (including the base that was not captured). After that, it was really easy. I utilized my Mega Tanks to the fullest.
