@monday2471 i had that same problem & i still have that problem. I am not even substantially shorter than my peers, i am just petite. i went to counseling to deal with the PTSD.
one of my experince why it is important to be taller is to not be picked on at school, being able to accel in sports in school, and mostly because hot girls prefer taller guys and thats the sad truth
@flamingphoenixninja7 Actually lots of short guys "accel" at sports; we excel at spelling, too. Even better, not all hot chicks are shallow and most hot chicks are short anyway, but wait there's more! As you get more mature what qualifies as "hot" changes, too. Confidence trumps looks. The so-called "hot girls" aren't all that hot if they're shallow, self-absorbed, or insecure.
Take good care of your health, train hard, and stay strong. Life is actually great!
I take Growth Hormone and i was tested and they determined that my pituitary gland does not work. I was off the chart. So i have been on Growth hormone for a year and I have grown 4 inches in one year. It works trust me.
I'm 5'2" at the age of 37-40. its hard being short. most people don't know it but it is difficult to live a regular life in this world. with the economy down i had a hard time looking for job competing with a normal height people. its pretty stressful.
Personally i dont think the risks are that bad, It is definitely worth a try. Make no mistake about it it is a tall mans world this treatment may not make you tall but it is worth a shot. You will be in for a very long miserable life if you do not try to correct this problem. Sure it may not be a 'problem' as in medically but it is a massive social problem. Trust me if the treatment is available get it you may end up massively regretting it.
personally i would take the risk if i were you, 80 odd years is a long time to feel depressed with your height, you are a long time alive if you are short trust me. Get the treatment you may very well end up regretting it if you dont. who cares if it is potentially bad for your health etc you probably dont have much self worth anyway as most short men dont so why should you care if it shortens your 'life' or 'existence' as it is in most short mens cases
@111nyko111 Listen, you should at elast give it a try. I hope you grew a few inches. I'm only 5'7" and no longer a teen-ager. I wish I had the chance. Seriously, being short is more like a handicap.
I wish i had got growth hormone treatment when i was younger it is a massive regret of mine. heightism is the most rampant form of discrimination in society i knew this from a very early age. Side effects wise i think it is worth it for parents look at the big picture lets say this treatment knocks 30 years off your life 45-50 good years is better than a miserable 80 years. personally if a fairy appeared and said that if i could grow 4 inches more if i murdered i would do it in a second.
30 years is a long time considering that after that time u wont live anymore.. ever.. that ur miserable is just bcuz of urself. Be proud and u will be happy, dont bother thinking bout the things that make u sad and u can live ur life and do the things u love. if lets say mom had taken that treatment she would be dead by now because she is 50, or my uncle, a lot of my cousins, my dad, etc etc.. It does do a lot..
Thanks for the comments: I need to correct a statement I made. GnRHa stands for gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist not growth hormone releasing agonist
As a short-statured adult I have enjoyed being non-average and I never let it hold me back.I would not want to increase my son or daughter's height for any reason.
i hate being short so much. i hate it so fking much.
people bully me for it and look down on me even though i can't fking help it.
i hate people.
