Fantastic Video and musical accompaniment!!! Ena's story is so tragic and sad in large parts, and you captured it beautifully. Her wedding was traumatic, her marriage disastrous after it was discovered she was a carrier of hemophilia and then the multiple political hardships that she had to endure as well as the hardships and handicaps of several of her children.

@FinnMove When she went back to Spain for the christening of Prince Felipe, Ena cornered Franco during one moment. She shot point blank if he is going to deal was the sucession of the monarchy. Franco told her "Everything will be as your majesty wished."She knew that Juan Carlos would be King (although she had hoped for Don Juan, she knew Franco did not like him and the chance would be slim).

i remember the later pictures. i have seen the burial room ( site ) (i am not sure how you describe it) in escorial but i didn't exactly know a lot about her. thank you so much for this and for filling in the gaps. her mother must have been the daughter known by queen vic. as 'baby'.

Queen Ena's marriage to Alfonso in 1906 was marred by a horrific act of terrorism. An anarchist threw a bomb into the carriage procession as it returned to the Escorial from the nuptial mass. Numerous bystanders were killed and the glass of the Royal Coach was shattered. Queen Ena, hysterically, was forced to step over the body of a dismembered coachman to escape.
