While I agree with you in that, personally, my punk rock proclivity and foundation is firmly entrenched around the era of about 1990-2002, I think this is just all a thing about us all just getting older. If youtube was around in 1950, there would be people saying essentially the same thing, just replace "Bring Me the Horizon" with "Elvis Presley".
