Nesting Jabiru's

Robar, I was absolutely enthralled with this fantastic video. The footage was amazing.

There are two resident Jabiru's here where I live. But one cannot get very close to them. Did you film this in a bird sanctuary? Would be interested to know where.

@bellamoonnature  Thanks very much. This was shot at the "Habitat" bird sanctuary just outside Port Douglas. We were lucky that day as the Jabiru's, who normally are shy and do not perform, but with the aid of the tele lens we captured some nice footage. Camcorder here was Sony HC1 HDV

@thenoize Hi Pete, Thanks for your concern but we are down south on the NSW / Qld border so we didn't feel any effects of the monster storm, in fact we are having hot sunny cloudless weather with daytime temps of 34 cel but not so good overnights of 24 cel. Downside is it's very humid...

I like it so much ***** I'm so happy that you are not in the area where innondations happen. I hear that most of them has no insurances at all. I feel very sorry. Starting a new life, with nothing is very bad. I will keep them in my prayers.
