I have camtasia...and i hate it....the files it renders are fricken huge! I did a video of some work I did in cinema 4d for a contest i entered. I did an hour of work....when i stopped the recording the program froze for hours....come to find out it had because it was putting together a video with a 280g size! After multiple trips thru after effects...i got it down to like...118mb. Plus to me the studio and all that is useless...I hate the .camrec files...and avi isnt much better...grrrr....lol

I got camstasia 6 but it's not recording audio. I've checked the settings and it's hooked up to my soundcard but still no sound, any advice?

I used Camtasia Studio 6 but when i launch a game the window becomes black, untill i exit it, in other words it records only desktop.

You have to use FRAPS, i got versin 3.0.1.

camtasia is nice but WAY TOO SLOW when recording some demanding 3D applications.

the fastest live recording app is and always was FRAPS, 100% fact.

The problem I have with FRAPS is that it doesn't record my entire screen but only the window I am working in. So eventually I have like 30 different movies, because it switches between those windows. It even does that inside the programm.

How can I fix that?

I have camtasia v.5 but I am unable to utilize my interface and my usb condenser mic at the same time when recording an fl studio video. ASIO4all works on adobe audition 3.0 and fl studio 9 when it comes to utilizing both the condenser usb mic and my audio interface. Any suggestions?

with and would you know of a cheap condincer mic i can get for him

just go to the music store and tell them what you wanna spend and they will help you, you kinda pay for what you get when you buy a mic, does your son have an input source with phantom power? phantom power is 100% necessary to make a condenser mic work. i would personaly check out the tascam us-144 bundle box, its a great deal, comes with a condensor mic and a midi interface for around 200 bucks, it also comes with some recording softwear.
