  • that,s a real Fat System ! Very Nice !

  • it's this not Dis. Shave your mustache and use olive oil afterwards it will grow in a lot thicker, I have those wimpy staches they look like a 12 year old. Those are just o.k, but when you get a room with tables in front of you, your doomed. Listen you are not going to want to carry subs and two more amps unless you dj with a crew.

  • Dear santa ...

  • RMS Speaker run for 8 hr at 1000 watts not go out ]Program power amp will run wel .but your amp need to be oever the speakers if u have a box that has 2400 watts u need 3000 or 3500 there is a pek power over the 2400watts.

  • Yo, wats good dj albert...I want to get the SP4 speakers but was wondering if i want to buy a Peavey AMP which one would I need? thanks for help in advance. =)

  • Hey man, I'm going to get some peavy dual 15s and I already have a peavy gps 1500 do I need an eq? Or the amp and speakers will do it? Thanks

  • @kompaOmar: You can get by with just the amps ( thats how I started), but you will notice a HUGE difference with an EQ. I am currently using the DBX dual 15 channels...I think it runs for about $150 right now. definately worth the money!

  • i got some sp series the 4g ones and im trying to see if you know any hints on how much does a tweeter cost for one of my speaker

  • @TheKevingranillo The SP4 series don't have tweeters in them, they are called horns and they have a compression drivers that can be replaced. If you go to Peavey.com/products/speakers/components you can find the replacement compression diaphragm on your horns for the SP series. I believe it will be the RX22 HF Driver they are $100.00 USD from Peavey but you can find them cheaper online.

  • peavy is a older brand but they kick ass

take off the carpet and use spray on bed liner it looks a lot better

  • You can actually get the Crown XTi 4000 for the subs

  • You ratings on speakers are..

1000 RMS meaning they are continuous run at 1000 watts with no failure.

2000 watts program meaning you can play for a certain length of time without issue.

3000 watts is peak meaning you can peak at the amps going to to the speaker with out shooting the cone or burning a coil.

  • I had a pair of SP4Gs (basically the same thing). I miss mine so much. Did some great gigs with 'em. I usually ran them with subs though, but they just rock that way.

  • Yo, looking to get the UK version of this. Would you say it would have a good shot at putting a full band through for 100-300 people?

  • Hey Man, Thanks for the info. I have been considering SP4 for a while now and your info just solidified the deal. You should be getting paid by Peavey, nice presentation.

  • Why do you have two amps? cant you just connect it parallel to a more powerfull amp?

  • definately speakon...locks into place so nobody wont' be able to slip on them and yank the cord out on accident.

also a sound tech once told me that speakon has some kind of advantage when it comes to transmitting more power to your speakers.

  • hey dude great video but i have a question ... can you run full range to the sp4 with the speakon input?

  • yes that is how I run mine...this version sp4 has 1 speakon input

  • Great video man, I was going to get these but power was an issue so I didn't want to spent to much at once so I got the JBL's prx525 and they are great! Self powered by crown amps and sound great. I like the way the sp4's sound too but go check out the prx's too if you can and tell me what you think. Thanks, 5 stars on vid!!!

  • hey wat eqalizer is that

  • DBX 15 dual 15 channel. Great eq and makes a world of a difference in your sound

  • that's jiggawatts lol

  • the sp4x are better quality then the sp5's the new ones are shitty!

  • Hey dud, where ya get the amp rack???

  • guitar center its a really sturdy and a great value compared to the roadcase and odysseys

  • @aturrubiartes703 I have a question please answer, Ok For Classic rock or Blues what is better Active speakers or Passive speakers? i wanted to buy Peavey Passive speakers Or QSC Active speakers for active speakers what is Better QSC or db Technologies?

  • no way ur not whistle song dj alligator

  • nICE VIDEO MAN. kEEP THEM COMING. I WANT TO SEE MORE VIDEOS ON PEAVEY DJ EQUIPMENT.

  • mean setup bro. that's some nice amps & speakers bro.

  • The Peavey SP4 are 1000W RMS(continuous) not 2000w continuous!! 2000W PROGRAM 4000W PEAK.

  • the sp4x are awesome"!!!!1

  • at last a review on peavey sp4 speakers.i have been using peavey since 1995 and all have been sp4s. i have had 3 sets of sp4s and got rid of one pair, i belive it was the sp4 xt seris. i have the sp4 x and the ones you have aswell.. i use a qsc 3602 to power them up. also when i use my cerwin vega subs i use the 3602 for the subs and the qsc 1804 for the sprs..

  • how do you compare these to the Peavey DJS-4's. i have a pair of the Dj's and they thump. Im running them stereo at 900watts per side. theyre 500RMS.i also have a pair of mx18s subs. i run those with a qsc rmx 1850hd. i also use a behringer cx3400 x over and a DBX231 eq. what do you think about my gear -thaks-

  • Peavey takes sound to a hold new level

From there speakers all the way to there Amps and CS class amps.

Had a peavey old school sc from 1996 and it was made in 1988

still works and gets the job done.

    Peavey SP4 rocks.

We use them for mid and highs

  • how much do they weigh? check out my speakers

  • sorry i ment stereo

  • you should just use that other 200o for some subs, try it out ill bet you wont even hear any difference if you ran your sp4s parrellel, anyway how efficient are the sp4 cabs? i suppose if they really eat up power then you might need 2000 watts, do you know anything about the pv215s? my 4733s are nice but they feel like they way 200 pounds

  • dude its just my personal opinion but unless you have some crazy big venues, i think you have way more power than you need, i have 4 home build jbl 4733 cabnets with the speakers and crossovers, they run 1200 cont 2400 rms and 4800 peak and i can run all of them perfectly off of one xti4000, i even power my matching 4800 watt dual 18s off of another 4000, i can blow the roof off of any joint with this stuff and only 2 amps, and i would strongly advise not briging amps, one mistake and it dead

  • dude nice review, i have the exact same kind of sp4's (i have a pair of them) they r the best i have ever heard and plenty of power, i have them hooked up to a crown xls 5000 (1800 watts per speaker), wow they rock the joint, thx fot the review man.

  • Hey man I just bought a pair of these speakers and I am using the PV 2600 which pushes 900 watts RMS and that is definetly more power than needed most of the time anyways I was wondering I am using the equilizer in my mixer and was wondering if using another equilizer would really make a difference. thanx

  • cool that was the same amp i first started using these speakers with. However becareful on the way you configure your system. using the 900 stereo will be good for using them for the highs and down to the low mids. but if you are using them full range try to use an amp with around 2000 watts. These badboys can suck up a lot of juice. And yes the seperate EQ will make a tremendous difference...I honestly felt it almost doubled my sound. I am using the dbx 215...i bought it for $150

  • My configuration is using two crown xti 2000 amps on bridge mono mode. These amps are great because you can daisy chain as many as you like. Each amp is connected to its own speaker. Pushing 2000 watts to each individual speaker on full range

  • thanx bro i will definetly look into buying a bigger amp then and will start with the equilizer i am just starting out and only have about 12 receptions under my belt. you know got to work up to it this shit is expensive thanx alot man

  • Like your set up

    Looks real tight.

Ist clear you did your mat rite on target

  • Is the Peavey PV 2600 is enough power for the speakers . The speakers i have is 600 watts rms and 1000 watts continuous at 4 ohms 24000 watts max

  • This amp will really make the speakers scream only thing is the bass is there but not at its full potential when i do the receptions they are damn near perfect clear for school dances not quite enough but does the job.

  • i got a question if the crown xti have crossover and eq built into why do you need a eq? and sometimes i see people with a crossover. thank you

  • Great Question!...well the amp does have built in sound processors, but there is one disclaimer, you would either have to use built in preset settings, or you can connect the amps to a laptop or computer via usb cable, which in turn will control your eq, xover, limiter, ect. through a virtual software called system architect. Very awesome stuff, but i do not want to be carrying a dedicated laptop to my gigs just for that sole purpose.

  • I guess in my opinion it is more for the people with big sound setups. So ultimately it comes down to preference. I just prefer to have the oldschool EQ on my rack where i can easily adjust with out the use of a mouse.

  • I started with peavy..but I really needed HQ on the sound so can recomend the yorkville ep500p for hi's 800watts cont. and the LS800p subs 1800watts cont no distortion at all and very clean sound too..check them out...

  • Thanks a lot for the advice...I will make sure i check those out. i will need some more amp power when getting the subs :)

  • 1000 watts RMS is the right wattage of your speakers man dont believe all that other bullshit wattage shit RMS is standard

  • Cool Speakers Bro... I heard great reviews. Regarding the carpet. All you need is a brush. Trust me it will look brand new.

    El Xclusivo

    NYC ESP Dj Service

  • thanks for the tip man i'll try that fa sho

  • Cool Cross over ability Damn High power!!!

    MM

  • if i get that amp it would be a bit cheaper than getting 2 crown amps and you are right ive tried looking up peavey speakers and amps and theres nothing so big shout out to you bro

  • wow yeah im gonna need lots of juice with those speakers hopefully ill get them from my tax return lol i was thinking of getting the peavey cs 4080hz to push the sp4 have you heard anything about that amp? thanks again for the video bro helped alot

  • nah i haven't heard much about that one bro...like i said when i get the subs i will prolly use these current amps to power them. that means i will need to get another amp to power these sp4's for the mids and highs. so good thing is that i won't have to worry about such the high wattage for them cuz i will only be use the mids and highs frequencies. Do you know what would be good for that?

  • well how much power do you need for the mids and highs since you no longer gona need bass

  • that i don't know man...i think i am going to have to call peavey to find out. Hopefully they can give me some exact figures

  • hey thanks alot bro good video
