The TOP stars i the NBA would have to be: Kobe Bryant Lebron James Dwight Howard Kevin Durant Dwayne Wade Amare Stoudemire Steve Nash Deron Williams Kevin Garnett Dirk Nowitzki Chauncey Billups Jason Kidd Joe Johnson
Actually New York City is the birthplace to more NBA stars than anywhere in the country. Connie Hawkins, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dr.J, Bob Cousy, Lenny Wilkens, Bernard King,Michael Jordan
Billy Cunningham,Nate "Tiny" Archibald, Kenny Anderson, Stephon Marbury, Lamar Odom, Jamal Mashburn. Philadelphia is second when it comes to the city with most NBA stars
No, it's opinion. Not everyone thinks Jamal Mashburn is a star even though he made the all-star team once in his career. I think he was a solid NBA player for sure but I don't throw the word ''star'' around like nothing. I would say maybe they have the most NBA players but not the most stars. Like right now, I would say there are 6 stars in the league with about 25 great players and the rest are average NBA. Don't get me wrong average NBA is still a million times better then 98% of us.
and you listed stars on the respective teams.. but IMO if all these guys were on the same team MY 6 would be stars of that team. they are a notch ahead of those guys... stars. you did name some great players tho
That can be debated because Nash,Williams,Paul are as good at the point as Kobe is at the shooting position. Amare is a monster and is arguably better than Dwight Howard and KG and Tim Duncan are Hall of Fame bound, so I dont think those guys you mention are a notch above, they're just in more commercials. You must have forgot about KG's and Duncan's greatness
ok well williams and paul were on a team with howard, melo, LBJ, wade, and kobe and that was pretty much the lineup when the game came down to the wire. williams and paul didnt take over the game like those guys did agaisnt spain.
as for kg and duncan... yea, maybe 3 years ago. both stars in their day but on the decline. just a notch below.
You are talking the olympics, and Williams and Paul are point guards who have hit game winning shots before, they are clutch, and since they play with Kobe he is going to take the shot. WHen it coems down to the wire, Williams and Paul can take over the game
has amare/nash ever even gotten to a conference champ game?? kg just got his ring with a great team. williams and paul are still young but I mean come on dwight is a freak. if he is not doing it with buckets it is boards and blocks. I think all the players i listed will get a ring.
Yeah I believe they played the Spurs, but hold up, Joe Johnson was injured that year, and the next year Amare got suspended, but that has nothing to do with their skill level which is very high. KG made that team great. And KG is a 20 and 10 machine and is arguably the greatest power forward, remember his Minnesota T-Wolves were wack, and the first time he played on a team capable of winning a ring he won. Dwight is a freak athletically, he aint better than Amare
I guess it all depends on your definition of a star, it seems like you only mention guys that the media constantly talk about. There other guys that are just as talented that don't get the media attention for various reasons
NYC has 9 Hall of Famers, 9 Great players, What other city has 9 Hall of Famers, I'm waiting, I gotta hear this. Not to mention all of the streetball legends
yea i kno that 6'9 guy ur talkin bout. he is a beast on tha boards and he most certainly can jump. i agree he cud be playin pro he wud b a gud fit for a team like utah or portland cuz he can give u solid points cuz ppl over look hes a gud shooter but he'll get most his points off offensive rebounds and he cud probably give a team about 15 16 rebounds a game.
every hood has a story like this but how many have a story where ther are 2 hall of famers and other good nba players telling you what he was capable of
its sad to hear stories of great talents gon to waste. theres a guy i kno personally they call him 6'9 cause he's so tall. he's really only like 6'5 but he has extremely long arms and a 44 inch vertical which makes him a best on the boards. i hear guys say he could've been a better rebounder than rodman gerald wallace haslem dwight howard josh smith and all those guys but so many street fights landed him in and out of jail so he will probably end up as anotha great talent gon to waste
one tym derrick favors josh smith jerry stackhouse joe johnson tyson chandler and a few more nba players played a pick up game at a gym in atlanta called run n shoot and mane dat guy 6'9 was skying over derrick favors and tyson chandler and even took some from josh smith. all of them were wondering why he wasnt playin pro or college but that street mentality has a hold on him but we all try to help em out but tha decision to listen will be on him so to me hes one of the greatest not playin pro
this dude is real good, just reminds us not every story has a fairytale ending....it gives u a different perspective on shyt, cos all u see is tha kobe, iverson stories of fortune and fame... and not the other half of reality....unluckiness n unsucessfulness....i feel 4 this dude
Well they also show the other side of the coin...u seen the movie Rebound, the legend of Earl the goat Manigault and Final Shot the Hank Gathers story?
when this was filmed he was like 32-33 years old after abusing his body with hardcore drugs and he still was doing this in jail its amazing if u think about it im from oakland and i watched it my father took me to see him when i was a kid I have never seen anything like him he was not just somebody who didnt make it he was better than hall of famers jason kidd and gary payton i went to school with gary paytons brother and jason kidds sister i was there it was crazy!
@TKO2121 he from oakland bruh thats how it is out there when u live in a dirt broke ass home u get involved wit things like cocaine , crack heroin cuz thats where the moneys at in oakland california
