Like how you get the Kentucky sound that way Ken! I was even considering using a plectrum to start flatpicking, but feel this would suit the ethos of the Uke more. Seem to have an aversion to using a plec on the uke and this has solved my dilemna. As for the choice of uke...It's not the most expensive uke I own but def my favourite
Fun to watch and hear. As far as Detroit goes... the golden age is over and there and from what I understand there are a lot of previously beautiful buildings caving in.
@UkesterBrown Absolutely, UB. I was speaking with Gerald about them. A lot of them remain because of the cost of demolition. Unfortunately it is expensive to put them right too.
This reminds me of my grandmother's clawhammer sounding strum she used on the guitar. Very pleasant and thanks for the history on the Detroit building.
Nothing you do is ever boring! :-) I find this quite hypnotic and calming. :-) X

Nice style! I lived in Windsor long ago. During the MoTown days. Detroit has some gorgeous old buildings that need work.

@waterdog226 More gorgeous buildings in bad condition than almost anywhere, Lynda.

@waterdog226 Fortunately, Detroit can't afford to renovate them (badly).

@ukulelepe Yes, I use this one a lot, but mainly at festivals. It is a TK-75CG. Very light and loud with beautiful solid figured maple.

I was playing along on my uke sliding up the neck from B to D like a train whistle or something. Kind of fun. Nice work, Ken.
